I was so happy to see this food truck at the Lilac festival. However, the service has gone down tremendously. Pops had a serious attitude about splitting the pizza in separate bags. Also, Ive ordered a marg pizza plenty of times at many different pizza shops but what they served at the lilac festival was horrible. $16 and I got bread and what taste like a can of tomatoes. The cheese was non existent. I get it alot of people come past at these events to order food but the quality of the food shouldn't suffer to save cost. $16 for a margherita pizza ... that half pizza picture doesnt live up to that price at all. Tony catered our wedding at the Whitehouse Lodge in Webster... and it was fantastic! Tuscan was the first, and last, caterer that we visited while planning our very special event. Tony whipped up chicken parm (best I've had) and eggplant parm (best my fiance had ever tasted) on the spot and we were convinced that we didn't have to look any further. Our reception went off perfectly. Tuscan to Go showed up on time, fully prepared and set everything up smoothly. The appetizers were a huge hit... Don't short yourselves on the bacon wrapped scallops because your guests will want to make a meal of them. The bruschetta was to die for... I'm not usually a fan but this bruschetta was just... special. Dinner was just as impressive as the apps. Chicken parmesan, chicken French, greens and beans, sausage and peppers and pastas. There was plenty of food but our guests ate much more than expected... And raved about the quality. I can't say enough good things about Tuscan to Go and Tony. Not planning on another wedding or event any time soon but they have our highest recommendation and we will definitely be stopping in for take out from time to time. The Tuscan Wood Fired truck is hard to miss, with an outer wrap of what appears to be the inside of a kitchen, and line that is typically hard to miss, because - pizza! Again, the lucky bugger I am, they come to my office and setup annually on a Thursday, and unless i'm sick or out of town or dead, I'm there in line! They have a pretty decent menu offering, and can even cater to those that need to eat gluten free, which is an amazing option for a $4 up-charge. Anything from their Lucca pepperoni (classic pep and mozz) to their Siena (buffalo chicken pizza), to their vegan pizza with garlic sauce, they have your craving covered! The Mama mia pizza with the broccoli rabe and sausage and fresh mozz is a keeper, such a great set of flavors playing off of each other. They offer other spins like the Fat Tony (pork belly, sausage, pepperoni, red onion and mozz) and the Roc Pizza Plate (a garbage plate on a pizza!!!). They use quality ingredients, and their crust was perfectly thin and crispy to my liking this time of order. I ordered the Lucca pepperoni this time around, and it was a solid smattering of pepperoni on top of all that mozzarella. Classic, simple, and delicious. My nephew used this truck for their wedding last weekend. The pizzas were awesome with a few choices to choose from even a vegan and veggie pizza as well as traditional pepperoni and the Buffalo chicken was very good. They also provided salad, greens and beans, Italian sausage with peppers and onions and baked pasta. Every was asked to take a whole personal size pizza due to Covid so everyone wouldn't be touching the pizzas. Let me start by saying that I am no expert on pizza. It's not the first thing I would order nor am I a huge fan of pizza and actively search for places to get it. I have tried their pizza and enjoy the crispy, thin crust. It's tasty and not soaked in oil. I am impressed with the idea of a wood fired oven in a food truck. The personal pans are a good size to share and come out hottt. One item that stood out from the rest is the panini gelato because it sounded so interesting to pass up. It's a great dessert - warm and crisp on the outside and cold and sweet on the inside. The best comparison I can find is that it reminds me of an Italian version of a Japanese tempura fried ice cream dessert. If you like that, then you will like the panini gelato. read more

Ate here at the most recent Food Truck Rodeo. I got the Pisa which is a white pizza with ricotta and garlic pesto. It was quick to order and get into the wood oven and then have my pizza. I am seriously impressed with the fact that there is a wood pizza stove on a food truck. it is pretty damn cool if you ask me. It smelled amazing and I did not mind the short wait. I was happy that this truck has it down and they know what they are doing. My pizza was delicious - very garlicky which I like. I added some crushed red peppers which was good to pull from some of the garlic flavor. I like thick pizza but obviously when you are cranking them out in just a few minutes for a food truck you have to make thin pizza. I didn't mind the thinness at all and it was cooked well. My only real complaint is that there was some condensation on my plate under my pizza from the heat difference. I didn't mind that but love if they could come up with a solution. I still want to try many other food trucks, but I would probably order from here again. read more

I love food trucks as much as basic bishes love lip kits. Summer time is a great time to be working in Downtown Rochester. We are very lucky to have a number of places close by where Food Trucks park to serve us. By 10:30am I am counting down the seconds until I can go out and explore. Tony Tomatoes is one of my top favourites so this review may sound biased...naturally I no care. Never have I had a bad experience and the pizza is worth every baking second. I've had a number of pies including my all time, margherita. Only, and ONLY, when they are not offering the best pie ever that is the Carbonara, I like to go with the Silvio which consists of white cream sauce, spinach, artichoke, and mozzarella! I should preface this review with the point that this is pizza from a food truck. I also had my first taste of it at the Food Truck Rodeo and pressure to serve hundreds of people quickly can cause a few errors in quality. I was impressed by how quickly it's cooked in their mini wood fired pizza oven. I must say they had a great setup and they fired these pizzas like pros in about 5-8 minutes. As for the final product, the crust was cooked thoroughly with nice blackened spots on the bottom. Although, the biggest let down was that it was gummy, didn't have any rise to it or any flavor. Yeast and salt, maybe a few herbs could have done wonders. I enjoyed the sauce, but felt there was a hint too much oregano. There was also a hunk of cheese melted per slice and minimal basil. It satisfied my never ending craving for pizza, but failed to deliver on the whole experience. Sample Tuscan's pie if you're in a bind. I'll give 'em another shot on a less chaotic night. read more

Had a pizza from this food truck the other day for the first time and gotta say I was pretty impressed. The thought of a food truck pizza always kinda confused me but glad to know I was wrong. One of these stars is just for the fact that these dudes have a freaking pizza oven in a truck and somehow that work environment didn't make them miserable lol. If you haven't tried this food truck, you MUST track it down. The pizza is outstanding! This might be the only food truck with a wood fired oven built in. Such a cool concept. The dough is stretched out right there on the truck, followed by the best quality toppings, and finally popped in the oven to get fired in the oven for about 2-3 minutes. The crust is perfectly crispy and the amount of cheese is just right. I have had a lot of different wood fired pizza and this is amongst the best. A pizza food truck is a unique concept for sure, what makes this food truck a bit more unique is that they were able to get a food truck built, with an actual stone over built into it that they heat up with wood. It is a very cool to be able to look into the mouth of the oven and watch your pizza cook, and it cooks pretty quick. From ordering to pizza only took 7 or 8 minutes, some friends and myself decided to share a Buffalo Chicken pizza last night at the Food Truck Rodeo. The line moved quickly but by the time we got there, and got in line at this truck, they were out of most o their toppings including a s'mores pizza which intrigue me. The Pizzas are rolled out, sauced and topped in the kitchen located inside the truck and then placed on a rack near the front where the oven operator can grab them and slide them in and out of the oven. One of the other unusual aspect about this truck was there was at least 6 people working it which is way more than most of the other trucks. The pizza is about 10' and ours cost $8 the cheapest pizza which is just sauce and cheese runs $6. The crust is thin and crisp around the edges without being burnt, not too much flour/corn meal on the bottom and conveniently ours was sliced in 6 tiny pieces, each one only 2 or 3 bites, making it easy to split. A blue cheese/hot sauce is the base of this pizza with chopped grilled chicken and mozzarella cheese finishing it off. The chicken was pretty run of the mills, and the Mozzarella was ok, but I believe the best pizza's use a blend of cheeses. We were pretty happy with our pizza though compared to some of the other food trucks at the rodeo their prices seemed a dollar or so high for what they were serving. If that pizza had been $6 or even $6.50 it would be a solid 4 stars. read more

Attended the Trucks at the Track with my family and as we were walking in a couple stopped us to tell us to try the pizza. Well, that is all you have to tell my picky eater. After looking at all of the other trucks he chose this one. He ordered to pepperoni pizza. $8, not bad. When I say the others coming out I was like there is no way he can eat all of this, so I requested a to go container, which they provided. Well, I was wrong, he ate then entire pizza. He loved it. One of my favorite food trucks that has the family making fresh wood fired pizzas...ON A FOOD TRUCK! I always get the 'Fat Tony' which has pork belly (bacon), sausage,pepperoni, and onion for about $10. I eat the whole pizza myself because it's that darn good and it'll fill you right up! I think the only thing missing from this truck is a nice cup of fresh blue cheese for dipping the crust, but trust me, the pizzas are good as is. Tried this truck at Irondequoit Farmer's market last night. I ordered the standard pepperoni and mozzarella. They shot it into the oven and had it ready in just a few minutes. Pretty impressive to build a brick oven on a food truck. Can't imagine it is very easy to dissipate the heat that mofo must be cranking out. Anyway, the pizza was served up nice and hot. It was tasty, with nice small pepperoni with curled up edges. Crust was the right thickness for my taste, not too thin, but it wasn't sliced through all the way, which made is slightly harder to eat, and a bit more cornmeal than I like. Hit the spot for my pizza craving, though the cheese and sauce seemed pretty run of the mill, and didn't leave any lasting impression, sadly. One pizza was plenty of food and filled me up. Not unfairly priced at $8, though $7 would be better. You're not going to feel like you are in Italy....you'll feel like you are in Irondequoit...eating pizza...off a truck. Just recently we found TWFP and we have been eating our pizza there since then. Pricing was good and taste was authentic. The girls working the truck were very outgoing and quick with the pizza orders. I chose the Holy Cannoli pizza and it was amazing. Who would have ever thought a cannoli could be made into a pizza. The pizza was topped with cannoli filling, mini chocolate chips and drizzled chocolate! My mom got the Panini gelato which was also really good.
