We were looking forward to trying this restaurant but it was a huge disappointment. The hostess tried to seat us closest to the front entrance but we asked to move a little further in... there were plenty of open tables. Someone brought us water and then we waited for about 10 minutes. The server came over and was apologetic and polite. He did a great job of explaining the specials. We had already decided what we wanted. We ordered a ceasar salad and asked the server if we could have 5-6 anchovies. The salad arrived with triple that amount!!! Ok so we took most of the anchovies off and put it on our bread plate. The dressing on the salad was not a traditional creamy ceasar dressing but a clear dressing with no flavor. The bread offered was lack lustre considering there are so many great bakeries in the area. The spaghetti with meatballs arrived and one taste of the meatballs, you could tell they were not homemade. The dish itself was steaming but the pasta was cold which means they probably heated the sauce and added cold pasta. The sauce had no flavor. Bland as can be. The server did offer black pepper and parmesan cheese. I rarely if ever send back food but by now I was really put off. I asked the server to have the food heated. It came back quickly slightly better in temp. The restaurant itself was clean and pleasant atmosphere and the server was very nice, but the food was an epic failure. Tuscany Bistro: Nice on Paper, Unwelcome When It Counts [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tuscany Bistro carries itself well; white linens, polished service staff, the kind of presentation that signals you're somewhere a step above the usual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In Kenosha, it's the closest thing we have to proper fine dining Italian. That promise matters, especially when you're hosting important guests. Tonight, I brought two key suppliers, one from Portland, one from India with twelve years in Paris and a refined palate. They'd both flown in to see me, and I wanted them to feel welcomed and valued in my hometown. Our server deserves credit; he was attentive, knowledgeable, genuinely good at his craft. The wine came promptly. So did our meals. But the moment the food landed, cracks appeared. My Portland colleague got lasagna that tasted solid but looked like it had been scooped onto the plate without thought. My filet mignon was genuinely good, but the potatoes came out overcooked and tough on the outside, their skins inedible. The greens were bland, underseasoned. The salad earlier had been forgettable, not even average. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then, at eight forty, the real problem started. The staff began clearing tables loudly. Within minutes, they were yelling across the dining room to each other.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]At nine o'clock sharp, the lights came completely up and the music shut off entirely. Staff voices got louder: "goodnight, bye" echoing repeatedly, clearly meant as a signal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At nine twenty, the manager appeared and essentially told us they were closed. Here's what makes this worse: they don't close until nine thirty. That's their published closing time on a weeknight. We had a seven forty-five reservation. They gave us forty-five minutes of dinner service before treating us like we'd overstayed our welcome. You don't do that in a restaurant of this caliber. You don't do it when guests are still dining. You absolutely don't do it during a business meeting where first impressions matter. Our server was clearly caught between his training and a directive from above; he never even offered dessert or another round of wine, he just brought the check. The food had potential. The service was undermined by poor management. But the message was clear: your reservation time doesn't matter once their clock hits nine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tuscany Bistro wants to feel upscale. Tuesday August 2025: I stopped at Tuscany for a delicious and authentic Italian dinner. I started my night off with the sangria, which is a favorite of mine, I love the flavors from the cinnamon and the cherry brandy. It's fruity, delicious, and goes down just a little too easy! For dinner, I had the Linguini Carbonara with a side salad and some bread with garlic oil. The garlic is rich, powerful, and perfect for garlic lovers alike. The carbonara was decadent, creamy, and extremely filling. Everything was delicious! I also want to comment on the service. I receive the best service when I dine at Tuscany and Chef Theresa is almost always there when I visit. She walks around the restaurant to check how things are going, she greets guests, clears tables, and she makes you feel like family. She does it all and she is wonderful! read more

Very nice place, great decor and a very friendly and helpfilul staff. Unfortunately the food is average. The rolls they served us seemed a bit dry as if they were made yesterday. I had the Veal Marsala, cooked well but lacking depth of flavor. I added a bit if salr to improve the taste. My wife had the Truffle Ravioli which was tasty. Probably won't go back as many chain Italian restaurants are far superior. read more

My second visit to Tuscany Bistro, and I'm still in awe of how delicious their food is. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the entire area!! Always great service! The staff is so friendly, happy and helpful. The food is always delicious and filling. My favorite is the walnut salad, and linguine with clams. I made a reservation on their website and told them that it was my brother's birthday. Upon arrival to our table, there was a happy birthday sign. Was told about "specials" for apps. We ordered the calamari, shrimp, and grouper app. Very overdone. Beautiful presentation but over cooked on everything. Dipping sauce tasted like Prego from a jar unfortunately. Salad was okay. Dressing (ranch) did not taste anything like ranch. Very tangy. Entree-I got Truffle ravioli. It was excellent and beautiful presentation. My friend got another "special" a tortellini. She did not like it. I thought it was delicious. Martini was very good. Food is good, as you'd expect from the likes of a Maggiano's for the mall rats here, but it's crazy over priced! I find no values on the menu here even though the food is tasty...it's just too pricey especially for the location. The location is rotten in terms of parking and ambiance as well. They'd be better off moving into downtown Kenosha where the rent would be cheaper IMHO. Having eaten here numerous times now and nearly every time at the bar, the bar service for dining is very weak with the bartenders having very poor focus. We've always felt forgotten and poorly attended to with long gaps in attention. It's just not that busy to accept or expect that lack of attention. In my mind there is a disconnect between who and where they actually are as restaurant and what they actually are... lots of self adulation here it seems which can cloud ones self-perception of worth and value...again, IMHO. read more

First time customers. Our 2 meals tonite at the Bistro off I94 &Hwy 50 were decent. The big hits were the bruschetta, the shrimp scampi over pasta, and the bread pudding for desert. Disappointed- they advertised keto, vegan and gluten free substitutions on the menu. We asked about their keto options and were told that we could substitute veggies for the pasta. Ordered chicken with veggies and veal with veggies. When the bill came there was a $5 up charge per person for veggies. We were shocked as they had specifically talked about the up charge for a Caesar salad from a house salad, but never mentioned that for the meal. We talked to the waitress and she basically stated "we made a substitution for you and there was a charge." We stated if we had been told that we would have skipped the veggies. Wasn't willing to take it off the bill. The veggies weren't very good, very soggy. We will not be back. read more
