Absolutely delicious! It has been too long since I've stopped here so happy the family was willing to oblige when we were in town. We started with some fried ravioli and got some garlic knots too. We tried a mix of things for dinner - pizza, broasted chicken, and Italian beef sandwich. The sandwich was okay but the chicken was the showstopper. Appreciated a side of mostaccioli with it, too. The house salad and dressing were also good. Great service by our server and the whole team when delivering our dinner. They let us stay a little later to wrap up dinner. I have been going here since a child. Stopped in for old times sake. Nothing much has changed!! Value, quality, friendly service and a walk down memory lane. They have the old Sicilian special pizza, now called uncle Franks special. I hope I said that right . Good change of pace for my usual S,P, BO standard. Freshness, light, flavorful and savory!! There seemed no one supervising service: incoming customers waited a long while, having to stand behind those seated at the bar. It was uncomfortable for everyone. The two of us really should have left instead of waiting another long while to have our order taken after being seated. After reading several Yelp reviews my wife and I decided to try Ruffolo's Special Pizza 2. We ordered an appetizer of fried green beans and found them to be the best we have had anywhere. We also orderd a 16" thin crust pizza with sausage, onion and mushrooms. When it arrived we found that green pepper had also been added. Since my wife doesn't like green peppers she spent quite a bit of time picking them off the pizza. We really enjoyed the VERY thin crust and the overall pizza was very good. We will definitely return to try the many delicious looking items on their menu. One point that I would like to bring to the attention of the owners concerns what I feel is a safety issue. When we arrived were were walking in from bright sunlite. Just before you reach the main entrance there is a step up from the ground level to the porch area. Both the area before the step, the step riser and the porch are covered in a black outdoor type carpet. It was very hard to see where the step up was at and had my wife not been there I would have taken fall to the floor. I think if the owners would just place a strip of yellow safety tape at the edge of the step it would prevent anyone from falling because they could see where the step is at. read more

Just wow. First off, when you walk in the ambiance is an adorable, welcoming family pizzeria feel. Plenty of tables and a bar up against the back wall. We were greeted and sat right away and she provided friendly and fun service throughout our meal. We took advantage of the lunch special, which is AMAZING! Buy a soda get a pizza with two toppings for $5! And the pizza was delicious. Absolutely love when they put the cheese over the toppings. It's so melty and delicious that way. We were so excited to finally find an antipasto salad and their Italian dressing was killer. Kid got the buffalo wings and devoured them. Give a 5 for the service, 5 for the taste! read more

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, I had a Celebration of Life for my late husband for 76 people at Ruffolo's 2. The atmosphere was wonderful, the room being the perfect size, the service was outstanding and the food was great. I had chosen this restaurant because my husband and I had attended a friend's Celebration of Life there a couple of years ago. Outstanding!!! When we visited the first time, we had the calzones. You can order the calzones the way you want. They come in two sizes. And you can either have the sauce put on it or give it to you on the side. We also had a side salad. The service was fantastic. Has a full bar and plenty of seating. The food was flavorful. read more

What to say? It's all good here. The calzones are HUGE. I ordered mine with sauce in the side. Tasty dough. Ingredients yummy- had spinach mixed with ricotta, added mushrooms. Gnocchi- were light and very good. The sauce is sweet - could sop it up with the fabulous Italian bread / butter that they bring to the table. Poor mans lobster- what I nice piece of fish... huge and again, tasty. Ordered a side of mojos with the fish- you get a basket full. Let me repeat... a basket full! Those are so good- dare I say, the best mojos around. Also choice of salad or soup with the fish. Forgot to take a pic of the mojos. The combo must have been delish- as my brother and husband both finished their plates clean. Ordered green beans as an appetizer. Crisp and delicious. Only item we didn't order was pizza... but this is our family's choice for pizza thin crust or deep dish. Again- you can't go wrong with any item. You would think a day after Thanksgiving- a light carb meal would be better choice... but I'd eat here everyday if I could. read more

We had a large group with 6 adults and 9 kids, so we called ahead to ensure that we had tables ready. When we arrived at 5:15pm, the parking lot was packed, that we found parking on the street. Apparently this was the happening place at 5pm on a Friday. Every table was occupied. Fortunately for our plan ahead mentality, our table was set and waiting for our arrival. We were the first family to arrive, I was quite hungry, and I didn't want to wait for the others to arrive so I promptly put in an order for apps and two pizzas. Our server Anna was very helpful and friendly. She understood the predicament and advised us on some good appetizers. We had an order of fries $2.95 and the combination appetizer platter $14.95. For the pizza, I ordered two 20" pizzas. (Just a note...when hungry...i would tend to order too much. Should have just done 1 pizza + the appetizers for our party of 15 - we left with just about one whole pizza remaining!!). My thoughts on the food... Appetizer platter - it was huge. A fried food fiesta! The same size as a 20" pizza platter. It had calamari rings, mozarella sticks, bread sticks, what I thought were fish bites but it was really cauliflower, fried onion rings. I seriously thought I was eating fried fish bites. It was awesome. I loved it - kind of the way cauliflower was meant to be eaten fried! Haha. The fries were thickly cut - so not my preference. Kids liked them though. Meat lovers pizza $24.50- loved this one. You're suppose to choose the crust either the standard thin or pan for $2 extra. The restaurant is known for it's thin, so just go with that! The crust was crispy and delish. The sausage, pepperoni, bacon, ham it was great, especially since it was cut in squares - the way I liked it. After about only 2/3 of our meat lovers and full tummies, our 2nd pizza arrived the chicken parmesan $18.50. Now this is where the thought of fullness set upon us. But the chicken parmesan on pizza seemed like a novelty worth pushing through pain. The crust was a tad chewier than the meat lovers. Anna the server said it must have come from the top oven, whereas the bottom was hotter, thus crispier. Good to know for future. For me, it's crispy all the way. My wife however enjoyed the chewier crust more. As we were eating, I saw a giant calzone on it's way to another table...and I knew from that point on, I will need to return to Ruffalos to try it. My bucket list is set! The space is quite kitchy, has all these funny signs around like "we don't have wifi, talk to each other" (the wifi router was just above the sign btw). So they do have wifi. I really enjoyed our time at Ruffalo's. The staff is so friendly and the food is good! Will be back for the calzone challenge. If you can't find parking, plenty of parking on the street. Hi, this is Dominic the food reviewer. Today I tried a restaurant called Ruffolo's Special Pizza2. It is located on 3931 45th St, Kenosha, WI 53144. One of their slogans is come for the food and stay for the family. I got to meet the owner Nunzio and one of his sons named Saraphino. They both were super nice and took the time out to tell me about the restaurant and their family history. Nunzio and his wife Cathy bought the restaurant 4 years ago. Cathy's uncle owned the restaurant before them. Cathy and Nunzio actually met each other while working at the restaurant many years ago, when her Uncle owned it. Everyone that works there is friendly and treats you like family. The restaurant was very clean inside. They had lots of pictures with funny sayings on them. They also had lots of pictures of their families on the walls too. I had the Ruffalo Italian Salad. It had lettuce, black olives, tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms, ham, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese. It had a fresh taste and lots of toppings. They also brought out garlic knots and marinara sauce. They were addicting. We ordered their thin crust pizza, with Sausage. I thought it was very delicious. My mom and dad loved it too. Next time I go back, I'm excited to try their fried chicken so much. I also would like to meet Cathy next time i go there, since she was off today. This restaurant was amazing! Our softball team travels to a lot of tournaments and we try to find local places to eat and not chain restaurants. The staff accommodated 16 of us at 7:30pm on a Friday night! They took our order for pizza before we sat down and brought out piping hot pizza very quickly. The garlic knot appetizers were great too! The ambiance was relaxed and welcoming for our large group. The girls all agreed after 6 years of tournaments best pizza they have had! We will definitely come back as indvidual families since it's our last season of travel, but would recommend this pizza to any travel team traveling to the Kenosha, Wisconsin area. read more
