Brought my two boys here (4 and 2) for their first visit to the dentist office. They were nervous going to visit, but as soon as they saw all the cool robots, toys, Lego's they were all about it! After they were taken in and showed how to brush teeth on a cute little stuffed animal and they were immediately put at ease. The dental assistant was so great at putting them at ease! Dr. Kathy Lim was also great and so amazingly patient with my boys during their cleanings. She helped get their minds off the cleaning by making a counting game out of it and asking them fun questions. I highly HIGHLY recommend this place and Dr Kathy Lim to any parent looking for a great and patient dentist for their kids! Oh! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I called to reschedule my daughter's dentist appointment because we had a conflict, and I was trying to find a suitable time. However, the receptionist (or the person who answered the phone) was extremely rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. Considering this is a pediatric dental office, you would expect more compassion and kindness. I hope this behavior is addressed. I will not be returning and will be looking for another pediatric dentist. read more

Our family used this practice from 1996-2018. We always had a great experience with Dr Mike and Dr Kathy, even when my two youngest were very reluctant dental patients. Dr Kathy worked with my youngest to gradually get her to go to the back without me. Dr Kathy is everything you'd want your child's dentist to be. Horrible billing practices. Charged me for my daughter's cavities, then at her next appointment said they got it wrong. They said I owed more! Said Delta Dental sent a $400 refund check to my ex husband they claimed he cashed, and wanted me to refund them the entire amount plus the extra for the incorrect cavity portion. Wouldn't give me proof, then sent me straight to collections all while charging me interest. When I tried to call and talk to them about it, they refused to speak with me. read more

Daughter has been coming here for years now and the service is phenomenal. Service - The ladies in the front and dentist are very nice and really good with kids. After the visit the kids get a toy and stickers and they love that. Venue - The lobby is very cool as they have a fish tank, toys, tv and other stuff to keep kids entertained. The back room has some dated equipment but it does the job. Prices - Not sure since everything is done thru insurance. Parking - Plenty of parking everytime I have came to the plaza. We have been coming to Tustin Pediatric Dentistry for at least 15 years now! I have always had exceptional service from the front office to the back. The dental hygienists are fantastic. Dr. Kathy is extraordinary and always provides the best care. My kids (ages 15, 13, 12) love seeing her even under not so ideal tooth conditions. She is so personable and kind. As a mother, I believe she is very professional and I trust my kids in her hands. Wow! We can't thank Dr. Kathy enough! What an amazing, kind & thoughtful person, especially when dealing with children. Our 8 year old daughter experienced severe trauma to her 2 permanent front teeth on a Friday night. She drove all the way back to Tustin from LA to help our daughter. She and an endodontist, Dr Ida worked on our sweet girl til 11pm at night and helped save her teeth. It's nice to know there are still kind & caring people out there :) read more

Been taking my almost 14 year old here since she was 2. Referred by an adult dentist because she had a cavity and Tustin Pediatric Dentistry knows how to treat without drugging the kids. The best referral I ever got. The amazing Dr. Mike has retired, so now we see Dr. Kathy. She is great! She noticed my daughter's adult canines weren't coming in and sent us to excellent oral surgeon and orthodontist to fix the situation. Regina is hands down the best kids hygienist in history. FYI Dr Mike is no longer there he sold the practice to someone that doesn't see pediatric patients! Weird right...they see til 12 years old! My children have gone there since my daughter was 1 years old. My son too he was just told he can't come back at 21 years old but my daughter was told at 18. My niece that I also recommended to them was told at 13 years old. So I wouldn't call it pediatric dentist. Might want to go somewhere your child will be able to stay til at least 18 yeas old. read more

We brought our 18 month old son for a visit. A couple friends had recommended Dr. Kathy so we trusted their suggestion. It was such a pleasant visit. Our appt was Monday morning. The office wasn't crowded and after a few minutes we were brought in. Dr. Kathy is so personable and professional. You feel like your talking to a friend who has your child's best interest in mind. Even though our son cried through the check up (he's in a stranger danger stage) she was gentle and thorough. If you're considering a pediatric dental office this place is worth visiting. Wow. Dr Kathy is absolutely amazing. I found out my son had a cavity at his previous dentist but they wanted to put him to sleep for the procedure even though he does very well at the appointment. This place is amazing! I can't say enough great things about Dr Mike and the entire staff. Dr Mike has a heart of gold! We brought our 7 y/o foster child who did not speak any English here for several visits due to severe tooth decay. The entire staff was so sweet and patient with her. We have been there twice and they have been nothing but kind patient and very warm with my son. He can be a bit shy and a little slow to warm up and every time the dentist has made him feel so comfortable and even walked him through the different tools that she was going to use when she cleaned his teeth. Brought my 5 year old for his 6 month check up and he and I loved it! Everyone from the receptionist at the time I called to schedule his appointment to the staff and dentist was awesome with my son. He's kind of a wild child and the made him so comfortable he did want to leave. They were able to accomplish things that his old dentist office couldn't with there patience. I was looking for a place specialist on kids, first appointment went well but they set me up with a second appointment and they charged me an extra 125$ fee they mentioned because the covid situation, oh well I paid it because my son need the appointment and no many choices, they didn't finish the root canal at all and they should tell me before that they don't offer Laughing gas since they are the experts they should know a kid of 4 years old will be scare with the procedure and with just local anestesia, they didn't finish the work they said they will recommended me to another place for sedation, so I just spent my time and I paid extra money for nothing also the lady in the front who was the en charge at the moment was kind of rude, I will never go back again I didn't feel that they wanted my business only the money, I don't recommend this place at all. This office doesn't believe in using any type of sedative for small children who need dental work. They told us we would have to hold our son down or they would "restrain him" when filling cavities, etc. No thanks. While the dentist was nice, it doesn't work for small children who have anxiety with dental work. The office manager also said to us "so what are we doing to this kid" when we were supposed to book a cavity fill. Not what we expected from someone who deals with children all day... they may have great experience but it wasn't for us. read more

This dental office is fantastic. The office lobby is fun for young children, offers privacy glass for reception,very organized and schedules early morning appointments for working parents. Dr. Lim was extraordinary with my 6 year old suffering from a badly infected tooth. She was fun and talkative, knew just how to calm a nervous child and worked quickly guiding her staff. My daughter had her first visit today. She is 13 months old. Dr. Mike was so kind and gentle. She still cried a bit, but not for long and then was running around wanting to play with everything. The office is geared towards kids and she really enjoyed picking out a toy afterwards. The staff was friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Very informative and gave me some great recommendations on how to keep caring for her teeth. I believe Dr. Mikes assistant was named Lilly (hope that's right), she took her time with us afterwards going over important dental care points. This is the place to bring the kids for dentistry! It was our first visit to the office and they really make you feel right at home. The waiting room is very clean and kid friendly as it should be. The assistant took us back the the area to teach us how to brush and floss. She was very informative. Gave us some very good tips. After she was done reviewing that we moved to a different area and met Dr.McCartney. Great Donald Duck impersonation! He was very through in his exam even though my child was having a melt down. He took his time with me to discuss my concerns and answer any and all of my questions. He was very easy to talk to. Once her visit was done they had offered her a little toy. She never stops talking to them to help with their anxiety and explains everything she's doing in a friendly and comfortable way. Our insurance is changing and we won't be covered here anymore. I've been bringing my boys here for about 6 years now and I think Dr. Kathy is fantastic and all the staff is helpful and accommodating. However, the office is in dire need of an upgrade. The medical equipment is dingy, dusty, and decades old. Even the doors, ceiling, and cabinets all look like they're about to take their last breath. I'm not the biggest fan of the whole Dr. Beap themed waiting area or toy section, to be honest. As a parent, I feel that the office design needs to be modernized and streamlined to feel more comfortable visiting with my kids. But again, Dr. Kathy is fantastic and with so many kids already being seen here, I'm holding my breath a bit until she can take over the practice and upgrade it all. A regular deep clean of the medical equipment and office would still go a long way in the meantime. read more

I brought my 2 year old daughter for her 1st dentist visit and even though I was a little nervous she did great! The place is so welcoming. They knew who we were when we walked in the door ( I loved that) the place cute little areas for kids to play and at the end of the visit they get to pick out a toy from their toy room. I really love Dr. Kathy here for my kids. She's extremely sweet and puts my children at ease when they come for their exams. Recently my daughter's gum was bleeding so I made a next day appt pretty easily to get it checked out, just to be on the safe side. It ended up being nothing and they didn't even charge me! I took a star off because the front staff can be challenging to work with when scheduling an appt. They really want 4 year olds to do morning appointments because they think they're in a better mood then but my kid takes a nap still and is fine in the afternoon. It's hard to work with school schedules and our preschool doesn't like you to do late drop off, and this dentist office wants you to be willing to pull your kid out from school, which I don't like to do. I've been searching for a dentist for my 2 children and I found the perfect place. The doctors are very nice as is the staff. The communicate with the children and keep their mind off what's going on in their mouths. My son received prizes. They discussed the charges and poss future charges for what will need to be done. The doctors are always in call. I feel so comfortable with this office. It has a very homey feel and most importantly my child felt comfortable and said he liked it. Review long over due , came here when my 14 year old was 3 then my 2 other children followed always a great experience. My Youngest son had many issues with his teeth. Cavities and such and heard about another dentist who did waterlase. Thinking I was doing the right thing for my son and a less painful procedure ,It turned out to be a disaster.
