We have had the BEST experience with this office over the past 5 years. My son had a traumatic dental experience when he was younger and had a lot of anxiety going into appointments--but everything changed once we found this practice. Dr. Yoong is truly incredible. He has such a calm, kind, and patient approach that makes kids (and now teens!) feel completely at ease. What used to be a stressful experience is now something we actually laugh about, and my son genuinely enjoys going in for his cleanings. Even better--he hasn't had a cavity since! The entire staff is just as amazing. My kids always ask for Heidi--she is the sweetest and makes them feel so comfortable, they even joke and compete over who gets her. It says so much about how cared for they feel here. And Maureen at the front desk deserves a special shoutout--she is always so warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to. OH MY GOODNESS! My three and five year old boys LOVE coming to the dentist! We are so lucky to have thorough, caring staff that are right across the street from where our little family lives. Maureen at the front desk knows my boys on sight, and the front area has both books at the kid friendly desk/chair setup, and the kid-friendly shows on the TV for the ultimate distraction if necessary. They make kids feel welcome and comfy enough to lean back and open their mouths. The techs always answer my sons' questions ("Why? What's that? Huh???") with patience and care as if they were their own kids. We found ways to adapt and have my younger son sit on my lap while reclining to get his teeth cleaned. After, the dentist heard our family's exact needs and suggested clever ways to help my son with his chronic thumb sucking issue. Then, they made sure the kids had a prize afterward-- and even accommodated a minor tantrum in an appropriate way but everyone walked out happy. We're been seeing Dr Kirby and his staff for three or four years. Everyone is kind, helpful and professional. We have been able to get appointments when we need them, and even schedule as far ahead as six months. They all tell us what they're going to do before they do it and answer all our questions. Our kiddo has needed fillings and extractions over the years due to some genetic predispositions and this team handles it all so calmly that I still have a kid who is not afraid to go to the dentist. We had our first visit today at H2 & it was honestly such an amazing experience! From the friendly front staff, to the amazing tech & dentist, they were all so amazing & met my daughter where she was at. This team and dentist (Dr. Kirby) are amazing. I have a 7 year old grandson who has autism and is non-verbal, they are extremely patient with him and accommodating on length of visits and reschedules when needed. They are empathetic and have a wonderful practice. The dental hygienist (Fridolina) was so good with my grandson she was able to get him through a teeth cleaning. This dentist is by far the best children's dentist we have been to. As a parent you want your children to feel safe and cared for and this place does just that. They don't try to cram a ton of dental work in at once and try their best to preserve your children's teeth. I had a horrible experience at a previous dentist, and honestly felt fearful for my children for future dental appointments. My son is 6 years old and he's severely autistic. I haven't seen such compassionate care for my son in a while and feel so happy and relieved to have found someone who is patient and caring with him. I came to this office last year with my daughter who has Autism. I was very nervous because my daughter was in a lot of discomfort and needed to be referred to a specialist. Maureen at the front desk was so kind and helpful; she eased all my worries and concerns that I had. One of the things I liked most was the quality of care that they take when working with kids.
