Came here for a warranty repair of my roof due to defective white paint from the factory. Did an OK job (3* for average) on the roof, but left obvious paint ridges from taped edges. There was also dust and debris all over the interior of my car (-1* for this), including some paint spots on my leather seats. I was able to scratch off the paint spots and they cleaned the dust out, but seriously, what happened to protecting everything else that isn't included in the job? To their credit, the paint itself has been ok for the past year and a half (hasn't peeled or anything, so +1* for longevity of work). They also broke my roof rail cover attachments, which was pretty obvious when I went to go pick up the car because one was sticking up way more than the other and could be pushed down before springing back up. They brought it to the back to "fix" it but just didn't really fix it. Figured I could do a better job, so I just took it home and looked at the part myself. They broke two of the three attachment points (not something I could have broke because they were already floating/not attached when I went to look at it)(-1* for damages). It actually would have been as simple as walking across the street to the dealer, ordering the replacement, and having fixed it before telling me my car was ready. This just shows you they lack quality control. Thankfully, it was just a $16 part, but these guys don't seem to take care of your car. I've got another repair to do because a tire shop damaged my car last week, but I sure as heck won't be coming back here. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. This is based on the level of service I feel we were provided, the way John spoke to me on the phone, and the slow, unresponsive nature of business they run. This place had our car for a month. We were in a minor fender bender in a parking garage. Check out the photos of the car. After the first week and no one contacting us to let us know the progress (or lack thereof), we call them. The receptionist let me know they were waiting for insurance to contact them. Ok, I understand, but thanks for leaving us hanging. The subsequent weeks were back and forth (1) call and emails with John, and the receptionist. Apparently John (mechanic) knows very little about customer service. He is a defensive guy, and doesn't know how to treat a customer over the phone. After our first call, he kept blowing us off. The receptionist told us on all our calls that John was "busy" and to leave a message. We gave up trying to talk to John over the phone cause who would want to let the customer know what's going on right? Glad we got our car back, but wish we never met John. If we were to do this again and all things were the same, but we had a different mechanic this review would be a positive one. Having our car estimated at a total loss is discouraging, but we'll live. Being spoken down to, mishandling our case, and treated like trash is the reason why I give this place a 1 star rating. My first ever experience with having to go to a collision center and I gotta say, I am so happy I chose Tustin Ranch Collision. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and transparent during the whole process. And while it took a little bit longer to get parts due to the pandemic, they still found a way to quickly find a part for me that was going to take well over a month! Blake was my estimator and helped me throughout the whole process and he was such a delight to do business with. And in terms of repair, the car honestly looks better than when I picked it up from the dealership. A cone ripped my bumper cover, and had to get the cover, grill, and other components replaced and repainted. Even a portion of my right fender had to be worked on but you can't even see where they worked and I'm an extremely picky, opinionated person when it comes to presentation. I won't air all my dirty laundry here, but I'm appalled that the manager asked if I spent the insurance payment. I'm doing my best to run and ER and ICU during a pandemic and have neglected my family in the process working 60+ hours a week. I feel so disrespected by being asked this. I can be nit picky and particular when it comes to how things are done, and I could not be more pleased with Tustin Ranch Collision! In the last few years we have had to take 3 cars in for repairs - not all our fault, but having teen drivers in the house doesn't help! The first time we went elsewhere and it was a pretty terrible experience. The last two cars were brought here on the recommendation of the dealership and it was a world of difference. Yes, it can take a few weeks with the back and forth of insurance companies, but Tustin Ranch was great about communicating status and in the end the cars looked like new and, more importantly, functioned as well as they did before the accident. That was not the case with the other place. Keeping my fingers crossed we won't need them again (no offense!), but if we ever need a repair place again this is where we will come. read more

This is the best collision repair shop I have ever been to in my life because of John. I was in a car accident on May 15, 2020, and AAA recommended this certified Lexus collision repair shop. John explained clearly and professionally what I should expect during the process and that he most likely thought my car was totaled. After a few days the adjustor made it out to the shop and totaled the car. John called to let me know that I could come by and retrieve all of my belongings from the car. That afternoon I went to the shop and was greeted by John who walked me to my car and helped me get all of my belongings. This business must not need or want new business these days. We used them a few years ago through insurance and didn't have any major issues. We have a new area on the same car that needs repair so my husband brought the car in for an estimate. I believe the are dishonest if not down right fraudulent. We agreed on repair of all damage to the right side of car. We clarified that the four dings on car door on the left side were not included. They had me sign a detailed estimate with item by item listing. I asked if the was everything on the right was to be repaired. They assured me it was. When I washed the care I found unpaired damage on the right side. i WENT BACK AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT IN THE ESTIMATE. THEY WOULD DO NOTHING. I recently got into a minor collision and had to jump through hoops to finally get Wawanesa Insurance to cooperate and send me a check so I could get the body work done. I had never gotten into an accident before this one so I was not familiar with how the whole insurance process works. Luckily, James, the manager at Tustin Ranch Collision, walked me through the whole process and covered all the bases so that the insurance company wouldn't end up ripping me off. Wawanesa will cover rental cars on a reimbursement basis, which would have been another headache I would've had to deal with; However, James took a look at my car and told me they could probably buff it out in 15 minutes - free of charge - if I had the time to spare. They brought it back in 10 and my wheel looked as good as new. This whole process could have been a complete headache had it not been for the great people at Tustin Ranch Collision. I have used TRC for a couple of very minor incidents and am always pleased to partner with Jon and his team. They provide quality work and are responsive to e-mail inquiries and communications. Jon always has a positive, bright smile when we meet and I definitely trust that he's providing an honest assessment on the damages. Recently, after getting some repair work done by TRC, there was a very minor issue that needed an adjustment and so I went to TRC first thing in the morning and Jon took a quick look and determined it was a minor adjustment that would take 10 minutes to fix. Honestly this is my first ever 2 star review. If you go to my profile I have only given 1 business a 4 stars review and everyone else 5 stars. I always try to give all businesses the benefit of a doubt even on a off night. I don't like writing bad reviews but honestly I feel taken advantage of. I took in my wife's black 2018 Nissan rouge for cosmetic body work so no accidents. I had my hood keyed and a few other scratches around the car. The person that gave us the estimate was a gentleman named Jon, when we did the walk around I showed him all the body work we wanted done and honestly he was so nice knowledgeable and seemed that he really wanted to help us. I asked him what he could do for us when it came to the price but I NEVER ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT, NOT ONCE. He went inside and said let me see what I can do. After a few minutes he quoted us something around $2800 and we where shocked but because we thought they where a reputable business we decided to go ahead and do the repairs thinking we rather pay for quality work once than having deal with a crappy body shop. Jon said to be honest your car is easy and we should have it ready in a week stating his dad was the body man with tons of experience and would do it beautifully in about a week. We where exited and waited for his call. When he called to pick up the vehicle and we did the walk around honestly the actual work looked ok but the car was full of swirls and over spray, they had used a dirty rag on the windows and we couldn't even see out of them when the sun hit the window directly. To not make it son long they kept it a extra week and tried several times to deliver the car with excessive swirls. The excuse Jon gave us is that they where short handed and that the auto detail guy was new and didn't know how to buff black paint. He also lied about painting the hood, bumper and panel completely. I guess he forgot because he later stated they didn't paint the parts completely because that would have cost much more money and if he would have known We wanted a perfect job he would have never given us a DISCOUNT. I never asked for a discount and $2800 didn't feel like a discount for the work performed. At the end the car looked 90% better the hood still has the swirls but honestly I don't even have the energy to take it back even with a lifetime warranty. So if you take your car to get it worked on there count on extra days than promised and also record what he says or read the estimate carefully, we just trusted what he said and because he sounded so knowledgeable and was so helpful we didn't think anything of it. My wife hit the bumper again and we will be taking it to get repair and honestly if it wasn't such a bad experience we would have used them again. Also take into consideration that this is going on thru COVID so it's not like we had money laying around to throw away. Again my intention is not to hurt the business and I know I should have spoken to a manager or supervisor but honestly I just wanted my car back and to get out of there. Hope it's helpful. read more

First of all, let me straightened something out on 9/11/2018. I am Coleman's fiance and he is the legal owner of the Subaru he tried to pick up and the so called "Owner" would not release the car to him because I was the one on the repair form. Coleman and I both dropped the Subaru off to Matt so Matt knows that Coleman is the owner. The car registration states Coleman Bradford Since the car was not released to Coleman, I had to go to pick up car and ask everyone in the office on what had happened: 1. Coleman questioned about the gap on the hood, which I and another person saw the gap after I had picked the car up, so there is definitely a small gap on the hood - this might have made Coleman a little upset 2. The so called "Owner" saw Matt and Coleman in discussion and he came out - for some reason an altercation came out and "Owner called Coleman "White Trash" and "This is how Christians act". I know this for a fact because Matt told me so, so I called out the "Owner", we are still a Customer and Customer's are treated with respect, even if they are upset. For an "Owner" to call such names to a Customer is definitely unprofessional. 3. The only reason I went to Tustin Auto Ranch is because of Matt, other wise, we would have went somewhere else to get car fixed and not be treated disrespectfully. I called Progressive to let them know what happened. Progressive can't do anything about it because, Tustin Auto Ranch is not in their network. Progressive paid Tustin Auto Ranch $3000 to get car fixed and this is the result of it. 4. I disagreed and he got verbal and called me white trash and also made a religious slur at me. Not fun for sub par work at a borderline gouging price. Jon came out in a friendly voice with open arms to help, he had made the overall experience a lot more comforting and easy. My car had been held back due to the fact that the insurance company of the person who had hit me have been taking way to long to respond but with Jon he took action and had called them and even met with one when one of the adjusters had visited to examine another persons car.
