This spot came recommended to me from Tustin Toyota, so I'm surprised and my experience. I was scheduled for a Monday to drop my vehicle off for repair repairs, believing that that Time works for the company to be able to start working on my vehicle. I only had this vehicle so to be without it I let them know was kind of an issue so I was hoping for a quick turn on process. After my vehicle sat with them for nearly 4 days I found out that they had done nothing except assessed the damage. I also had to request updates from them or I didn't hear anything. They submitted multiple claims to my insurance told me they couldn't work on my car until they were approved. The next week work on my car started it needed a fender replaced, and the collision center received three ones that were unusable before getting the fourth one. At this point, my truck was still not even near completion nearly 2 weeks after dropping it off at an appointment that they provided me with.. nearly 3 weeks after dropping my truck off with them. I was told it's ready to pick up and I had a friend collected due to my work hours and their business hours. After having my truck home for a day, I realize something was wrong. One of the main issues was the passenger side front door and now it sounded like it came off of a tin can sounded completely different than the other three doors on the vehicle. I sent them videos, they claimed that they didn't know the sound of my door because they didn't drive it all the time and it was an issue of them not putting enough material in the door to make it match the sound of any other door on the vehicle. Luckily I was able to have them come to my work pick up the vehicle fix it and bring it back to me.. Maybe my expectations are high , but nothing about this experience was what I expected. The communication was very bad. I wasn't told anything until I asked about it, the timeframe for work to be completed was horribly slow granted some of that may have been out of their control, and then the best part they returned my vehicle to me and it wasn't completed properly after nearly three weeks on being without my only vehicle. Sadly, I would not recommend this company to anybody who does not have the patience or time to let them go as slow as they do or let them take away. 2nd visit - both were excellent experiences. Dale worked on my minivan on both occasions, once for back tailgate replacement and now for side mirror repair. In both cases, Dale was professional, explained the damage clearly, and offered excellent solutions. But for the mirror, when I had received quotes to replace the entire assembly, Dale suggested just to replace the mirror that saved me over $1000. Dale and Bodycraft are honest, friendly folks that are experienced and do professional work. Great vibes from this place. I plan to recommend them to others. read more

I spoke with an extremely helpful and knowledgeable lady named Jane who let me know that unfortunately because of their upcoming move, they would not be able to get to my vehicle in a timely manner but gave me outstanding information and knowledge that will help me narrow down a body shop. They were professional, (keeping my in the loop) personal, and knowledgeable right from the start. Upon picking up my Lexus RX 350, I was so impressed with the job they did... was worried about the paint, as Lexus doesn't give their paint, and they had to use the codes given, to match.... 1st time I had a car accident, I brought my car here at this shop, they fixed it and everything was ok. But 2nd accident coming here was horrible experience. I brought my car to fix minor scratches around the passenger side of the car. The bodyshop kept my car over 3 weeks to repair, and I had a rental car on the day I dropped off the car. I had message them every time to find out whats the status of the repair. The associates were very rude to me in response and kept delaying the work longer and longer. They charged more than what was estimated originally from my auto insurance. And I was told to pick up the car today by the end of the day. Around 4:30 the associate from Bodycraft calls me to pick up the car. And they are closing the office by 5:00PM. Can you believe that? I had to rush all the way from Newport beach to make it before 5:00 to pick up my car. I called and told them it was impossible to make it by 5:00pm. So they waited 15 more mintues for me to arrive and pick up the vehicle. They billed my insurance $2444.38 and charged me $2217.92 ontop of my insurance bill which the total came out $4662.30. I don't know what I did to these people, why were they rude to me and kept delaying to fix my car. I would never ever return back to this place again, and will tell everyone else. And I will complain to Bureau of Automotive for sure. read more

This review is definitely overdue, but I had to make sure to share my experience with Bodycraft Collision Center. I've taken my car (a 2019 Mazda 3) to Bodycraft on multiple occasions (first at their other/old location across the Tustin Auto Center and most recently at their location right next to the Tustin Mazda dealership) for repairs ranging from major to minor. They've done a great job every time. More importantly, the service is EXCELLENT. Jon Perez is literally the best of the best. He's so easy to work with and really looks out for his customers. I have complete confidence that I'm always getting a fair deal, and while I really hope I don't have to use their services again moving forward, if I ever am in need of a repair I will absolutely be going to see Jon at Bodycraft. No Walk-Ins Allowed, Ever! It's not in their policy!  *NOT POLITE OR PROFESSIONAL* I walked-in on Monday morning, and before I even got to the counter, I was "schooled" by a receptionist who said "Do you have an appointment? WE DON'T DO WALK-INS !!" This was yelled in front of two other employees, another receptionist and a technician. Incidentally, there were no customers in the waiting room or in the parking lot.  I have had two estimates done as a walk-in there in the past eight years and I understand that post-COVID, policies can change. However, informing the customer of policy changes must be explained and not loudly proclaimed.  I think that these employees need a script to follow for customers entering their door that they don't recognize. I would politely request that the management would have them say something like this: "Hello, welcome to BodyCraft, thank you for considering us for your repair. I am sorry, but we no longer perform walk-in estimates, but I would be happy to schedule you now for our next available appointment." {By the way, Body Shops that are not in the auto center usually allow walk-ins.} read more

I want to express my complete satisfaction with the repair work done on my 2024 Hyundai Kona. The delay expressed in the completion of the job was caused by the fact that my vehicle is new, and parts had to be ordered from the main supplier in the USA. It has never been my purpose to cast doubts on the Bodycraft expediency on the repair performance. On the contrary, Jony went out of his way to help me on using my vehicle while waiting for the parts to arrive, and kept me informed on a daily basis as to the status of the parts order. Once the parts arrived , I was able to turn my car in for the repair, having had the use of the vehicle for three weeks, without the use of a rental vehicle, which was not included in my insurance contract. I do not recommend leaving your car with this shop. I dropped it off for two body repairs. Originally told "3 days", then Dale told me he must have misunderstood what I was asking and it would be "8 days", then I got a message on the 10th that it should be ready by the 17th (pending - meaning estimate), then on the 11th got a message saying it was on track for the 17th. Then another text on the 15th saying its nearing completion. I called Dale on the 16th and asked if it would be ready, to which he told me they were having issues with their suppliers on getting the door. I asked him to call me on the 17th if it would not be ready so I could work out the rental car. He didn't bother to call me but instead sent another text on the 17th saying the estimated completion date is now the 24th. On the 19th a text saying its still on target for the 24th. On the 22nd Dale messaged me that the parts did not come in and now they the new ETA is Friday the 26th. On the 25th I got a message it was in paint and they would let me know by noon on the 26th if it would be ready today. Noon came and went with no call. So I called them. Dale wants to blame his suppliers and says its not his fault but now its painted and they will need it until Monday or Tuesday as they need to buff and put it back together. This is unreasonable. Its is costing a fortune in rental fees and Dale does not accept responsibility. I do not recommend this shop. I also complained to All State as they are a recommended shop. read more

I was rear ended, and the back end of my car need to be replaced. Due to supply chain issues parts took a little while. Luckily my car was drivable so I waited until the parts were ready. Body craft was able to keep me a bridge of updates, and when the parts were in, they completed the repairs quickly and efficiently . They even detailed the vehicle after it was completed. They were also about four days earlier than their projected date to have my car completed. It came back looking better than it did when it went in and I really appreciate all of their help. Mauro was the auto repairman that was working on my vehicle and he was also very kind, friendly and extremely helpful in getting my car repaired and also explaining to me what the damages were and how it's fixed. I got a new bumper from Bodycraft in Tustin after my bumper was highly damaged from an object that flew towards me on the highway (I couldn't avoid it due to the cars around me). I had never worked with my insurance in getting my car fixed. Jayne, Carla, and Jon helped me understand what I needed to do to get answers from my insurance and they kept me updated the entire time via text. It took a while because they needed to get approvals for all of the different parts that were required as there was additional damage to the car from the bumper incident. If you'll be going through insurance, you should definitely make sure you add in some buffer of time because it just takes time for insurance to send approvals and then, of course, it takes time for the Bodycraft team to actually do the work. They got a brand new bumper and color-matched it perfectly to my 5-year-old car. The team was very easy to work with, the work they did was excellent, and I would recommend Bodycraft in Tustin to anyone who needs auto body repair for their vehicle. read more

I had some damage to my Cadillac ATS that required replacement of the front bumper, left front fender and I had some seriously bad curb rash on my left front wheel. I decided not to use my insurance and pay cash so I was attentive to pricing and process. The fabulous and fun Mauro was my estimator and point of contact for details. He was totally honest and clear about the options and how they would affect pricing. Such as: they could fix the front bumper if I wanted to save money instead of replacing it, they could refurbish the wheel or buy a new one, they could fix or replace the fender etcetera. I ended up wanting a new bumper, fender and wheel. He said cool and gave me a great price. They could not find a new wheel in a reasonable timeframe so he had an outside company come in and take it to their shop for refurbishment. Astonishingly these guys refurbished my wheel to look brand new. I was amazed, never thought that wheel could be fixed. This is a professional, clean place where you don't get the feeling that you are just a wallet like so many others. It's in Tustin Ranch in the Tustin Ranch Auto Mall only mile from my house so super convenient for me. My car looked fantastic and the price was very reasonable. WOW - this place is amazing! I dropped my car off this morning for repair of the bumper. They estimated 2 days to fix it! I got a rental car and was on my way! Drop off was way easy! Mauro even helped me unload my car into the rental car - moving kids car seats and all! Then to my surprise - 2 days turned into 4 hours! My car was done already!!! And when I arrived to pick it up - Mauro even helped me reload all my stuff back again! And - a bonus.....he had the car washed and vacuumed! Called this morning, scheduled an appointment for a (free) estimate later today. Got there at appointment time (3pm), filled out a brief info sheet, and literally within a couple of minutes someone was looking at my car. That someone was John. My car problem was a front bumper that had slightly come off my Scion TC 2015, as months earlier I'd run up on a high curb. Completely drivable, but I just hated the look. After checking out the front of the car, John told me that to completely fix the issue I'd need a new bumper, around $600-800. We talked for a bit about options, and he said they could get my current bumper in decent condition -- basically screwed back in, and with some interior glue in places -- but that it might be only a temporary fix: at some point down the road, it could come off again. But, *he* said, why not try the quick fix out first? I agreed. He called up one of his techs, who said he'd see what he could do and then took the car to the back. 20 minutes later, I was driving off with the bumper fully attached, looking perfect -- and paying zero. *No charge.* Given the general culture of auto service/repair shops, i.e. that it's almost accepted to charge customers for anything and everything one can get away with, I left Bodycraft with such a positive feel for the shop and for John. I went to three different companies to get estimates and decided to go to Bodycraft in Tustin. The gentleman that assisted me was Mauro Hernandez and he was exceptionally thoughtful, thorough, and helpful! I had destroyed my front bumper and he explained why the damage was so severe and the possible complications. He felt trustworthy and as it turned out, my instinct was correct. I received a call from him the day before I picked it up and he told me his mechanics did not find any additional problems. Bottom line, my car was ready within the estimated time frame and there were no additional costs beyond the original estimate. To top it off, my car was washed and detailed beyond any expectation I could imagine! They did a beautiful job and I left feeling like I had a new car! I have not had to use Bodycraft for any "major" repairs, but they have been readily available, friendly, and of great assistance for my needs and those of my friends that I have referred here. I have dealt with other Collision Centers in the past on the vehicles of my youth, and had very negative experiences with salvaged parts being used, failure to guarantee or even "look" at warranty work, etc. Everyone at Bodycraft is friendly and has the "hook ups" to make things happen (referrals for mobile dent repair companies and mobile glass repair, easy access to rentals, etc). Great service. Not the cheapest around and not the most expensive, but they are fair. You definitely get the most for your buck here. read more
