It was clear to me that most of the items, particularly snacks, are from Eastern Europe. I was hoping to buy cookies from Italy, but they had few Italian sweets and no Italian cookies. PRICES, etc I only looked at snacks, but most of them looked reasonably priced. All items were clearly marked for price. The store is clean and well organized. RECOMMENDATION With the "right" expectations, this is an excellent store. If you're only looking for something from a Western European county, you may be a little disappointed. If you're looking for food from Eastern Europe countries, I'm sure you will be happy here. If I'm not mistaken, they also sell fresh bread. They've renovated recently, but kept the heart of what makes the place special. It's now more modern, but still feels the same in all the right ways. Every time we're driving to or from Vancouver, this is a must stop for us. Folks that work there always give me the feeling they they like what they do and they know what they are doing. Their wine selection is quirky and fun. And near the register, there are often bottles you just won't see in typical US liquor stores. I usually pick one or two to try. On the food side, we always, always get the beet salad, german potato salad and mac salad- they are all made european style. Those are non-negotiable sides for us. Last visit they had a watermelon gazpacho on the specials menu that perfectly balanced sweet and bright, super refreshing. What they do best is keep things simple but execute flawlessly. A good chunk of the sandwiches you can get half ( then they become slightly expensive halves due to pricing :) )Great bread, great ingredients, no fuss. The Italian sub is proof. It's classic and spot on. My personal go-to, however, is the horseradish roast beef, fantastic combination. And the rotating panini specials are always worth a look. This deli plus market is super cute with wall to wall bottles of wine, pasta , olive oil, and canned seafood. We ordered the classic sandwich with ham and cheese and I have to say that that was one of the best sandwiches I've had. The warm soft baguette was perfect making each ham and cheese bite so delicious! We'll definitely recommend this deli for a great sandwich craving!!

A lot of canned goods, different kinds of teas. A big variety of deli meats, smoked fish, and cheese. Secret hint: try the sweet, cream cheese bars (look for them in the freezer), the ones in an orange package (maybe called 'Dadu', but not sure). They are flavored with condensed milk, and covered in chocolate. Oh my gosh, amazingly good, a bite of Eastern Europe :) The staff is really friendly. You can ask for help anytume, they will help you out. That is the main reason I shop here, rather than at the other similar store in Bham (Europa Market), and I also find the prices a slightly cheaper here. The only con is that they don't really sell alcohol here (ok, the other store has a lot of Russian/Ukrainian beer, champagne, wine, so if you want those, you do have to go there)

First, the couscous is not the usual couscous we've all had. This is Lebanese couscous, which is so different as to be unrecognizable as "couscous". It is so very good, I could have a whole meal of that and be happy. I generally prefer baked falafels, but this fried one was great; crispy on the outside, and soft and green on the inside. I've avoided dolma in the past, as I had it once years ago and it was terrible. But this dolma was good enough for me to stop avoiding it in the future. People were very nice, and it took less than 10 minutes for my order to be ready. It's a grocery store with a deep selection of many items, such as spices, pastas, canned fish, .... (see photos). I enjoyed this enough, I came back again about a week later for another Sampler Plate meal. My only slight peeves are, I wish there were a bit more to the salad (which isn't even listed as one of the sampler items, so a bit hard to complain!), and that the pita had some whole grains in it (I find white wheat boring).

He suggested one type he sold, and I bought a bag. He showed my wife a box mix for Palak Paneer, which intrigued her, and he helped her locate all the ingredients to make it at home. The rice came out perfect, and the dish was the best curry meal we have ever had. The products the market offer are top quality, and the helpful staff make experimenting with exotic cuisine, a task anyone can pursue with their most helpful guidance.
