This is my favorite camera shop. I come here often so that I can develop my 35mm film and buy some new film as well. They have a ton of camera products you could buy such as lens, camera bags, at home developing solutions, tripods, and so much more! All of the workers are knowledgeable in cameras and they have been able to help me recently with a point and shoot 35mm film camera that wouldn't rewind and they helped me save my film and I was able to get it processed and the pictures came back amazing! The worker also told me about new cameras that they were going to get in stock. He let me try out some of the cameras in case I was curious about buying. It's always a friendly environment when I walk in. The Cameras are reasonably priced. The film developing is also a fair price. I know that there are other places that are a bit cheaper, but because of the location I choose to come here and I've always enjoy the experience. For film development specifically: I have bought both black and white and color film. They have a wall full of film variety you can choose from such as the classics Kodak, Cinestill, ilford and a load of experimental film. The price for developing only is $8.25. Color film is a bit cheaper than black and white if you plan on printing your pictures, printed color film is $.49 per picture and black and white is $.89.

Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

D4 cost to attempt to repair was expensive and I declined and said I would just pick it up when I got the lens. D4 is pretty old so understood the risk of not having parts. Since I drove in the lens was first looked at by counter person and we wrote up the order to clean it. I received the estimate for the lens by email after the tech reviewed it and called in and authorized the cleaning for $70. Today I received a "revised estimate" saying the zoom button fell off during testing and they required $600 to repair. Given it was inspected twice and in working order it is my opinion that they broke the button off and now want me to bear the cost of repairing their mistake. Ps Not even sure what the "zoom" button is as this lens has a full /limited switch and a VR mode switch. I refused the repair and am now waiting for the message saying I can pick the camera and lens up

I have been doing film photography for 5 years now and ready for a new camera, easy and lightweight for travel but still have that quality feel. Drake the owner knew exactly what I needed, showed me a few options, then showed me the photos the camera produced so I could see the quality each photo presented. Sure, I could have bought it online from eBay for maybe $50-100 cheaper, but I wanted that guidance and trust while also supporting a small business. It comes with a 6 month warranty in the event anything happens too! I will report back once I take it for a spin, but if you want to be valued and heard and time spent on making a decision on your next film camera I highly recommend Drake & Relics.

He offered me a 25% discount and said he would email me the offer due to the delay in service. Little did I know this was just the beginning of the many lies he would eventually tell me. Second time around, I figured I would give them another chance because all businesses have off days and I thought Drake would honor the 25% off discount (fyi he never emailed me that discount code). I dropped my film off at Coffee Drunk December 12. Today is February 6 and I have not received my negatives or prints. I have sent multiple emails, DMs, and even chats on their website and it was full of excuses and lies and no accountability. On Jan 5 I was asked to confirm my address was correct to ship my film, I verified and then Drake told me he couldn't ship it because he didn't have my apartment address and then said it was "returned to sender" . So many lies and no accountability. I will be reporting this business to the BBB and I do hope to everyone else who has had issues with them do the same. This is not a small business to support. Edit: I have reported them to the BBB. Their website reports 1-3 day film turn around time once received and 24-48 hour responses with Chat being the fastest response. I have not been responded to and it has been almost 60 days since sending them my film.

You can tell this studio knows exactly what they're doing. The photos definitely had plenty of heat, but just as important, my wife seemed comfortable throughout the process, and that showed in the final results. As her husband, I'll just say I probably spent longer admiring the photos than I should admit in a Yelp review. This was absolutely a home run of a birthday gift.
