Turning fifty-five does have some advantages, one of which is qualifying for the 55+ plans at T-Mobile. So have been monitoring current deals, and have come into this store multiple times to 'window' shop and get clarifications. Thus when I saw a new deal pop up over the weekend, came back to this store to see if worth purchasing. It was. The switch is not complete yet, but the customer interaction at this store so far has been outstanding. Like many folks, my wife and I have been mobile customers across all the major carriers (including Sprint, which no longer exists), currently getting service through our Internet provider, Spectrum. Everyone provides unlimited national data now, so price continues to be the main driver for us. Both our I-phones (smallest physical footprint available) are (slowly) dying, victim of new OS's that require faster processors/memory and faster-draining/slower-recharging old batteries. But I like the form size of it, and it would still be useful as an occasional wi-fi device (or sell it to a company like Gazelle for over $100), so didn't want to use a deal that required a trade-in. So with the release of the I-phone 17e by Apple earlier this month ('budget' model, retailing for $599 for the 256GB version), T-Mobile recently published a new deal: get a 17e 'free' with 24 month contract, with no trade-in. What wasn't clear online was if the 55+ plans would apply. So decided to stop back in while doing some errands by myself in DTLB. This store is marketed as a T-Mobile experience store. Whenever we stop in, it's fairly busy but staffed well enough to have someone immediately available to help with no wait. Like before, I interacted with Taylor (Sr. Mobile Expert). He confirmed my understanding, and then looked up to see if the 55+ Essential ($60 plus tax for 2 lines with auto-pay monthly) would qualify. I was very pleasantly surprised that it did. The plan works as an interest free loan, with T-Mobile giving us the $599 to purchase the phone. From the government's perspective, the phone was bought at full retail price, and sales tax must be paid by the customer at the time of sale, which is what I did for both phones. T-Mobile then gives us a $24.96 credit for each phone at each billing cycle to pay off the phone. This means that if we cancel the service before 24 months, we would owe the remaining balance on the phone(s). Either way, the phone would be unlocked and would belong to us. So with that information, I decided to move forward with Taylor. After asking a co-worker, he recommended that the entire transaction be performed over the T-Mobile app on my (old) phone (including payment)...and he stayed with me while we did so. I remarked if there was a way to credit him; he responded that at this store, the employees did not work on commission. The phone itself is on backorder and will be shipped directly to our home, at which point we could start the actual switch over process. Since the newest phones only use E-SIMs now, we shouldn't have to come back in to get them activated. But it's nice to know that if we want to get personalized attention to complete the switch, Taylor and the rest of the non-commissioned T-Mobile team at this DTLB experience are there to walk one through it. read more

I wouldn't recommend going to this T-Mobile because I went down there in October between the 27th and the 29th because I told them that I'm going through identity and I asked him that if everything is secure and what I got in the mail from T-Mobile and everything they looked at my account said nothing was compromised and when I went on my iPhone, my T-Mobile app and everything was compromised and leaked and they told me they're keeping an eye on my account and they haven't seen no changes cause I went in there too cause I received this picture to verify me and I told him my account information has been compromised and I told them I'm going through Identity Theft they just do not know what they're doing cause I've been there twice once in October and again in September 27 to be honest, they should deserve zero stars. I've had a few great experiences at this T-Mobile store, and I finally had to leave a review! My first visit was back in April 2025 with Joe--he was super helpful, answered all my questions, and made the process of setting everything up feel easy and stress-free. He was friendly and talkative, which I really appreciated since it was a bigger purchase and I wanted to feel comfortable. I came back in May just to turn in my phone, and this time I worked with Fidel. Even though it was a quick visit, he was still kind, helpful, and easy to talk to. Most recently, I returned again and worked with Fidel for a purchase. He went above and beyond to help me out, and the best part was how personable he was--super friendly, talkative, and made the whole process enjoyable. It reminded me a lot of my first visit with Joe. It really says a lot about the team and management here when multiple people provide the same level of care and energy. While I was working with Fidel, I also noticed the rest of the team standing to greet everyone who walked in, smiling and creating a welcoming environment. That kind of service goes a long way! I'm extremely upset and disappointed. I specifically expressed I needed wifi today and if it was possible. I explained multiple times the urgency and how important it was to make sure this was taken care of. As Gensis worked to complete my request I worked on my laptop so ensure we both made the best use of our time. When she was done she handed me the bag with both boxes. I went home and as I was unboxing the equipment I noticed the power adapter for the router was missing. How extremely unprofessional and severely upsetting. I called to speak to her but she was on lunch. I called back again to see if the same power chords would work & Jessica answered and said yes which was incorrect. Lying instead of confirming the answer is extremely deceitful. I genuinely expressed my concerns of the importance of this matter being taken care of today and it was ignored. Came into this store a couple of times between mid November of 2025-December 8 2025 keep in mind I been with T-Mobile since 2018 my experience with T-Mobile has been great even had cell service while on deployment in Afghanistan when I was in the marines but this store does not have that same quality of service I had in the past I've been trying to upgrade my wife's phone and my personal one and every time I go in the first thing out of the lazy and incompetent employees mouth is do you have the app "you can do everything on the app" like for the love of god shut your f*** mouth about the app and do your god d*** job it's not that hard if I had the app I wouldn't take the time to walk into the store I'm a vet with ptsd and I'm trying my best to go out and socialize and get stuff done to the best of my ability but when I see and deal with sh** like that it is just migraine inducing like why walk around with a tablet if you just going to sit there and collect a paycheck Moral of the story don't go here find any other store to go to I'm sure at other stores they do the bare minimum and type your phone number to get some answers read more

First let me say this store moved to the corner of 4th & the Promenade just 2 days ago I found out when I went to the address listed here. My wife and I were looked for internet service, we have not been impressed by Spectrum so we decided to.check out their $50 deal. We were greeted by a young woman named June. Very friendly welcome and happy to help. She explained the service and all the perks, we liked what we heard. I have been a T Mobile customer since the day they began, I've never had. Problem with their service so I knew whomever we got to assist us would know what they were doing. After talking to June for awhile we decided to go for it. While we were getting things set up I decided to ask.a few more questions. Come to find out I could have been saving 50% on my Netflix AND my Paramount subscription, well damn girl let's hook it up! June was able to help me lower both my payments as well. She also took the time.to.e plain my current plan in more detail, the girl was on her A Game, very impressive and knowledgeable her service would bring us back to this location. I've been with att forever and this was my first time switching carriers and buying a new phone (all my previous phones were xmas gifts), so I had a lot of questions and wasn't that familiar with the process. My mom and I came in and Jessica was very patient with both of us. On July 6, 2024, I went to T-Mobile to resolve a variety of issues with my Samsung 8. I was fortunate to be greeted by Taylor "Tay" Bell who took control of my issue. Tay was extremely personalable and totally knowledgeable of what was needed to resolve what I felt was beyond repair. To my surprise, Tay began removing all those programs that I downloaded in attempt to remove those so-called viruses. He spoke to me in such a professional manner that my inner self was elevated to higher heights. What was remarkable about Tay was his people skills that he exhibited through out the 3 or 4 hours I was there. If I had not come in, my old Sansung 8 would have died and recovery of my important data would have been lost. I purchased a new Samgung 24 based upon Tay's recommendation and Tay began the process of transferring data to my new Samsung 24. During the transferring process, I observed Tay interfacing with other customers that also had serious issues which required him to speak to other representatives on the telephone. His demeanor in his dealings with these complicated issues was quite exceptional. I was quite impressed with his ability to handle a myriad of issues and arrive at a logical conclusion in each instance. I've been a customer of T-Mobile since they purchased Sprint. I will be a lifetime member of T-Mobile based upon what I witnessed yesterday. These staff members are all experts in this field. It is my position that this T-Mobile location is the best for fixes should you have a problem. Thank you "Tay" for what you done for me. I was really emotionally drained and disgusted with what was happening to me; yet, Tay with his determination to please customers went beyond the call of duty to assist this 73 year old senior citizen. Orders an iPhone 13 mini. Stood home from work , didn't arrive. Took another day off and what arrived was not what I ordered. The poor sales associate that caught my frustration assured me , she could do fix it and she did. TMobile then overcharged my for the equipment for 6 weeks. 3 threatening phone calls later, they adjusted my bill. They will prorate higher charged when you buy a lower plan. I have to give props to Alex who is a Bill Expert I was able to received help from today. I visited this location in January for the new iPhone promotion and was scammed. I paid $520 down and traded in my iPhone with hopes that my bill would be around $70-$90 maximum for 1 line. I was told everything's fine and that the system just needed time to reflect the changes. I visit the store in March & April with the same complaints; my charges are off. Each time I'm told everything looks fine to them and I can speak with a manager but they aren't available at that time. My phone bill today was $146 for 1 iPhone, I immediately called TMobile to speak with someone. Alex kindly explains that my trade in was valued at $400 (mind you they in store reps lied and told me my phone was only worth $127) and the amount should have been charged to my equipment but it was applied to my bill. So my hopes for not paying for an iPhone monthly were out the door. He then states the $70 was applied to my bill. There were 3 added plans that I did not ask for nor agree to; Alex kindly removed them. I was charged twice for an iPad that was personal and not even purchased through them ?! What kinda scam are your in store employees really running here ?! Be very careful with these promotions and make sure they don't add any additional shit to your plan just because. I should have known when my name was spelled wrong in my confirmation email. Y'all should be ashamed, sales aren't that bad to be schemin for "commission" or "upsales" Btw this just got resolved and it's May 27th 2022. I purchased my phone on January 17th 2022. Angel is amazing!! I feel bad for him for having to take care of us for so long. We were with him from 12-5 basically. Spectrum "accidentally" deleted my husbands account. So we went to Verizon (which for all those negative reviews about covid on TMobile) they only had ONE person working but T Mobile had a FULL staff on a Tuesday. I don't think anyone really waited. We ended up purchasing a new phone because Spectrum had no clue what happened. Angel spent the entire time talking to customer service with us. He was supposed to leave earlier to another location but wanted us to be taken care of. The customer service here is spectacular. We went to three different places: Spectrum, Verizon and T-Mobile. No one took care of us like T-Mobile and Angel. Thank you so much Angel, you were literally our Angel. Nothing like getting your phone "accidentally" shut off 2 days before your wedding!!! Spectrum even acknowledged that they had no clue why. And gave us a credit. As my string of failing in the area of customer, service or customer confidence in visiting T-Mobile stores continued, I encountered this store. To which charge me the restocking fee, which it was in the notes, and was already promised by a manager of that store, that I wouldn't have to pay it a few days prior and the employee there that night who is helping another client confirmed it but I was told that I would have to come back another day because I guess there was no supervisor or manager available which makes no sense because there's always a manager supervisor supposed to be on staff according to Tmobile policy. So I went ahead and went through with it got majorly, disrespected the whole time along with the attitude of the representative assisting like she had better things to do. I made a follow up call today in regards to an extra $35 I had to pay which I wasn't charged and was basically told oh well by some guy who refused to give me his name. I'm not too sure what Tmobile does to train some of their employees at the stores, but the amount of disrespect and unprofessionalism is disgusting and at the end of the day I feel very uneasy over my purchase that I made with this store, and after the transaction was done, she basically shoved the bag with my box of my phone in it and walked away as I stood there in front of a locked door, which is against fire code in the city of Long Beach for her to unlock it. The only reason why she came up to open. The door was because the employee who had promised me that my restocking fee would be covered by the manager, told her to let me out of the store. I've been a T-Mobile customer for 6+ years, and have always done my cell phone business at this location. I recently came in and paid my phone bill, got my confirmation text, and left. What Jennifer didn't tell me, was that she signed me up for two more services before signing out of my account. So I received a second confirmation text 30 minutes later, letting me know: "You recently changed a feature or service on your T-Mobile account." This was followed by a text today: "We made the change you requested to your account effective Oct 17 13." I decided to call T-Mobile's representatives to see exactly what 'I' had changed. I had $30+ of new services added to my account, that were not discussed in the 3-5 minutes it took me to pay my bill. This is the second time that something has been added to my account from this specific store. The first time it was a mere caller idenfier feature. This, is completely unacceptable. ------------------------- The female store supervisor Eva says they leave accounts logged in and that Jennifer may have done this in "error." T-Mobile customers know they ask for numbers, ss digits, and your id before transactions, so this is iffy. But I'm working with them to remedy this. ------------------------- I called customer support again to get to the real bottom of this. Jennifer knowingly signed me up for the current promotional offer, which she gets credit for. I was nowhere in store. The customer support representative told me: "for a loyal 7+ year customer, I'm surprised this has only happened twice." Right after me telling her I have lost trust in this company when they blatantly tell me they leave my personal information open on their computers, and alter my account to their own accord. This review is solely based on the customer service experience I got here. I was helped by an associate named Kevin. I want to really praise this guy right here, I'm huge on customer service. If you give great service, you have a customer for life. This is true. Anyways, I'm rambling. Let me get to it :) I've been with sprint for ten years now. Always loved sprint, but within the last two years since LTE came out, their service has gone downhill. My boyfriend was on my contract, & now that his 2 year agreement has ended, he wanted to switch to Tmobile for two reasons. 1) sprint gave us the run around for a recent out of the country charges that wasn't even our fault. 2) he wanted to switch from iPhone to android. I had a samsung galaxy S4 laying around collecting dust & thought we could switch him over, but I really didn't know the process of it. So I called a nearby tmobile store. On the other side of the line was a tmobile representative that literally answered all my questions without an attitude. He was so helpful and informative. He told me that if I already had a phone, I just needed a SIM card & if I came in to see him; he would give it to me for free. He let me know what time he was off & that when I came in, he would be more than happy to help me. So we rushed out of the house and went to the store to meet him. He ported over our number from sprint. Gave us a SIM card, and set us up with the right plan without paying anything out of pocket. He laughed, he was pleasant, he related to our conversations we had with him while he did everything. He really represents what excellent customer service should be. This was when I came in the store about two and a half weeks ago and I Js remembered how I really wanted to write a review on him. He totally has our loyalty. read more

I understand COVID and its impact on employees and businesses. However that is not the case for this store. I went on Saturday and had great customer service from Celina. I returned on Monday to upgrade my phone. The customer service is trash! I was never greeted & waited patiently to be serviced. I watched them check in other customers and only AFTER I said something near one of the TMO reps did someone bother to check me in. The excuse was they thought I was with someone else- HOW???? I upgraded my phone but due to the store closing they said I could leave my phone overnight and I wasn't permitted to take the trade-in since it now belonged to them. I return Tuesday to pick up my new phone. I was checked in by Uzzi. Again waited - no service. He comes back over and says your name disappeared from the check-in list. And ask, again, why am I here? Sir, you checked me in. He asked who helped me yesterday? I don't recall but I bought my receipt. He said he couldn't locate my phone. I gave him the receipt. I get my new phone and none of my apps were transferred over and the most of pics were never transferred. I asked why - the explanation was mediocre (there's nothing we can do about that / is your phone connected to the internet). Even though my items didn't transfer over they needed to reset the old phone - which they couldn't do! This is the WORST TMO store. They closed some good stores and kept this one open. What a joke! As a family that has had an account for several years, we are very disappointed in this store and the company not doing anything about having their employees be ethical! We stopped by the store because our son needed a cell phone and we saw that they had a free phone promotion and thought it was a good way to get started with a cell phone for our son. However, the employee who helped us at the store was not clear and specific and did not communicate effectively what he was going to do. As we were talking to I shared I had just started my business and he said oh I have a phone for my personal, one for advertising, etc. and I said that was good, I don't have that it would be a good idea. So at the end of our visit, he offered a free line for my business and we not only got charged the first month for the line, but he also changed our plan and the bill became very expensive. We canceled the line immediately and went back to the store and asked for them to return our money back and they said sorry we couldn't do that because 14 days had already passed. read more

As anyone knows who has tried to "leave" Verizon, it can be a terrible breakup. I bought an Apple iPhone directly from Apple, no problem, but my partner was unable to complete the sale because Verizon would not transfer her phone number to TM. We spent a great deal of time over two days, not including the hours on the phone with Verizon, and decided to go to our closest T Mobile store. We got the most wonderful attention and help. Joe spent hours helping us but we hit an impasse and had to go to a Verizon store to plead with them to port the phone number to T Mobile. No dice. They won't do it for at least 60 days and maybe longer. Back the next day to T M store where Manni (sp?) who I think is the manager (and brilliant), took up our problem. We were there a couple of hours but without Manni's creative thinking we would have had no solution. We still have to wait for Verizon to port the phone but my partner at least can use her old phone and old number while we wait and we are now both T Mobile customers. Cannot say enough wonderful things about staff at TM on 4th St. They were busy and yet took great care of all customers. People left with smiles on their faces, as did we. We are incredibly happy we made the switch and caution other mobile phone users to stay away from Verizon!! Huge appreciation to Joe on the first day and Manni overall. You will be happy if you take your mobile phone needs to them or anyone else in that well-managed store. read more
