There have been a lot of changes to this mall over the years. The things that have stayed the same…read moreare the LEGO store, Macy's (knock on wood), Bath and Body Works, Sephora, and Paradise Bakery & Cafe. The mall typically isn't busy. To me, it looks like the food court and restaurants are what attract the most people. Paradise Bakery & Cafe consistently has the longest line at the food court. I am not surprised because there is something special about it. I love their mini cinnamon roll and my husband is a fan of their peanut butter cookie. In terms of value, The Shops at Mission Viejo has stores at different price points. You can splash out at Nordstrom or economize at Uniqlo. The mall's address is 555 The Shops at Mission Viejo, Mission Viejo, CA 92691

A more accurate description would be "the-mall-that-accepts-anyone-as-a-tenant." I'm pretty sure the beauty supply store is a front for a money laundering operation (they are never, ever open), most of the other stores don't stay open until 8pm (and I'm not talking about just the watch/jewelry stores), and there are just a handful of random, funky places in here. All that aside - I don't really come here to "shop" - but it's a great place to mall walk. It's here that I learned mall walking was a real thing. Weekday mornings, you'll see a fair amount of retirees walking the mall, many before it opens. Not going to lie: my husband and I have turned into evening mall walkers. So, thanks, Mission Viejo for giving us a place to walk.. but not necessarily shop. I really think the leasing department needs to look at what would do well with the community, not just be desperate and sign anyone. Look at how other centers are thriving. 2026: 52/100

Not only were…read morethere so many people, but the variety of items was impressive--everything was well-maintained and beautifully displayed. I went in without many expectations and ended up spending quite a bit of time browsing. We didn't buy anything this visit since we wanted to get a feel for what it was all about, but we're already planning our next trip. There's plenty of free parking, and admission is free too--which, in this economy, is definitely a win! We love that it's so close to home, and it's been a long time since we've come across something like this in the area. We'll definitely be back in July before school starts again!

It can almost be like a treasure hunt looking for that special item that calls out to you! Even if you aren't looking for something specific, you might find something that is awesome (to you anyway). There is definitely a wide variety of stuff, from vintage clothing, to old car emblems, home decor, old business signs, and toys that, depending on your age, might make you remember the good old days. Prices can be a bit high, and some vendors will haggle, but this isn't really the kind of market where you get an amazing deal. Most people know what they have and know the market for their stuff. Vendors are still friendly though and will chat about what they have. Located in the old Laguna Hills parking lot, it has about 10-12 rows of vendors that are about 50 yards long. Last time we went there was an agua fresca stand but no food vendors. Even though it's in a parking lot, parking can be a challenge so be prepared. Everything is under construction as the mall is closed down and the buildings are empty so people kind of just park wherever. All that said, this can make for a great weekend activity to get out and walk around. Though it is infinitely better in the morning when it is less crowded and cooler outside! Being in a parking lot there is no shade and things heat up quickly in the afternoon. Overall, a solid local experience, especially if you like flea markets.

Also if you use Capital One credit card, you can grab a coffee for a discount and enjoy the AC indoor. Cool right? The main attraction is the water play area for kids to enjoy during this hot weather. Overall, I love coming here to spend half a day window shopping and pigging out lol ~~ most stores are outdoor and there's plenty of parking spaces around the Mall.

There's a different theme each month, activities for children, live music and a beer vendor. Parking is not an issue and there's no admission fee. Each month I treat myself to something new to eat or take home, and leave looking forward to the following month's market. I encourage all locals to check it out. I would love to see this event grow with even more vendors and food options. If you'd like to see more they are on social media sites as Weekend Night Market.

I have never lived in a city that I adored until I moved here many years ago. THANK YOU, for opening up a night market for all of us to enjoy. MV Night Market, occurs every 3rd Saturday of the month from 5pm to 9pm. If you don't already, go follow "Third Saturday Night Market - Mission Viejo." That page is just for the MV location which is an event by Weekend Night Market. The event planner's page is Weekend Night Market. This one will have their other locations too in case you're interested. Both can be found on Facebook. The latter is also in IG. For the upcoming one on August 19th, 2023 the theme is Under the Sea. They typically have a theme and recently had an 80's party. It's a family affair, that's for sure. Parking is shared on the same lot as the market itself. There is seating available, with some tables and a string of lights. Parts of the lot are left open for kids to play with sidewalk chalk and the last time I was there, they had a few pools full of bubbles. There was also a corn hole game, a slime bar and a kids crafting table. The food trucks are all lined up around the perimeter and you'll see a few rows of vendors for food, desserts, and shopping. From what I can recall off the top of my head food/drink vendors: Agua fresca tamales kettle corn mobile beer & wine funnel cakes Mexican food dumplings Korean food burgers other American foods Shopping vendors: hand made soaps/lotions candy candles jewelry crystals jewelry hand made wreathes for all occasions kids clothes I have the MV Night Market on repeat every month on my calendar. That way, if we aren't doing anything else, I don't forget that I can attend with my family. It really is a fun place to go. It's not a very large event, but there is something for everyone and you'll have a good time.

However the next time we came to visit in the evening, same amount of staff if not more but everyone working was very rude and off putting. The guy who helped us seemed frustrated that we didn't have the specific card numbers ready to go, despite the fact that the prior time we visited that was never mentioned, had we known we'd gladly have had them ready. He seemed so annoyed at having to help us that we got embarrassed and chose to leave even though there were items in the case we wanted to ask about. One other note, online they show a large selection of plushies, which was the initial reason we chose to come into the shop. However when we arrived the selection was nothing like what we saw. We inquired about one in particular and left number with the staff and they said they'd look in the storage and get back to us. Do you think we ever got a call? Not the end of the world but still think they should update photos to reflect what is actually available in store. Overall I would say that depending on when you visit you'll get a mixed bag of service.

This spot has a couple really cool retail stores, including candle making and events with crafts. They also have a good sized bar, hangout areas, foosball, corn hole and more! They even have live music! It was just so sad to see how empty it was and how many businesses have shut down. I'm thinking this space is probably used more for private events.
