Definitely coming back! The employee at the register- maybe the owner?- was friendly and helpful. My order was ready within 5-10 minutes! Fast and efficient I got the taco combo plate with my choice of protein being asada. The tacos were slightly smaller than I'm used to, but were very filling because they were generous with the amount of beef! They also allowed me to remove the cilantro while keeping the onions, which I appreciated, since sometimes the onion & cilantro are pre-mixed and can't be separated. The rice was soft, the beans came with melted cheese on top. Everything was flavorful and delicious! There's plenty of outdoor seating! Looking for delicious tacos? Tuxies Juices in Riverside has been serving up delicious tacos from their small, walk-up restaurant. In fact, it almost looks like a giant taco stand. I've enjoyed their aguas frescas with their carne asada and al pastor tacos. I usually order their 3 Taco Combo as it comes with a drink, fluffy rice, and beans with cheese. Simple, affordable, and delicious. And they have friendly service here. I've enjoyed having lunch here especially when the weather is sunny. Honestly for once I don't even have any photos to attach and it's because every time I order their food I EAT FIRST lol. I always love getting their taco combo with the carnitas, rice & beans. For my drink I get the horchata at an extra cost. This is my favorite Mexican food spot in the IE. Like genuinely my comfort food & it's always good whenever I order it. I also like to get their nachos sometimes and they have really good shakes. My fiancé also really enjoys their tortas and hot dogs. Staff is always so kind too. I've only eaten here once (there is a small seating area), but I usually order their food to go. One of my favorite spots! read more

Tuxies is one of my favorite Mexican food spots. This place is a family owned business. I've tried just about everything in their menu. But favorite has to be their Tortas/Burritos and their vanilla make shake is so bomb. I've always recommended this place to friends/families and would highly recommend for anyone to give this place a try. read more

Someone recently told me that Tuxie's makes great burritos, so I dropped in to check it out. I was just in the mood for something simple, so I ordered a bean and cheese burrito. The burrito was huge, with good beans and plenty of white cheese. The green salsa I ordered was especially tasty, with very herbal notes of oregano. It added a great flavor to the basic ingredients of the burrito. The only odd thing was that, although they call themselves Tuxie's Juices, there was no fresh juice. It was crossed out and marked "not available" on the picture on the wall. I should have asked if that was a permanent change. Tuxie's is a tiny vintage drive in, with picnic bench type tables on the patio. The staff are very friendly, and the service is quick. You can call in a phone order if you are in a hurry. When I was a kid, Tuxie's was the neighborhood burger joint where all the teenagers hung out. Although the food has changed along with the ownership, I'm glad to see that the name still stands for delicious food. I'll be back when I get a taste for something more savory. My favorite taco place because of the guac sauce and the flavoring of the meats and the tortilla was crispy and soft! I have been coming here for 16 years and it has stayed consistently delicious this whole time :0) The staff are friendly as well! I loooove their smoothies (but finally found out there is milk in there and that is why my stomach is destroyed every time)!!! They have the most delicious taste. The strawberry is my favorite! The carne asada tacos are my fav and their chicken isn't dry either. Everything is delicious!! There is a few parking spots right in front and then a whole lot next to it. They charge .75 to use your card as a payment and then they charge for any extra salsa. How do you know which salsa you prefer when you can't get one extra one of the other one to try. Maybe they should consider putting their salsa in smaller containers so that you can have the opportunity to try both of their salsa. read more

I've been a loyal customer for years! Lately I've been disappointed coming here spending over $50.00 or more to get 1 red, 1 green sauce. When I have 13 tacos and 2 burritos !!!! Then when I ask for extra I only get one more of each. This has happened several times. If that's the case then charge for the damn sauces.!!! I'm cool! One of my favorite tacos spots but I'll find another. And, when the Aunt is there my order is wrong every time!! read more

I used to live down the street from Tuxies and would come here all the time. I love the green salsa. It's been years and I came back to get a carne asada quesadilla and it's still as delicious as I remember. When you get it with everything, they stuff it all inside the quesadilla so I recommend eating this thing quick before it gets soggy. The burritos here are delicious and I love the way they set up their taco combo, with a side of beans and rice. They have a walk up window and benches to eat, but this place is mainly for take out. read more

I found out about tuxies because my bf brought me here and I'm so glad he did!!!! There's absolutely nothing that I haven't tasted that isn't delicious about tuxies the asada tacos are my favorite by far the best!!! The asada torta is also amazing! Love the way the put it on a press! This is an absolute hidden gem! There is something about their asada meat that's just tender and juicy so flavorful!!!! 4.5 stars!! Tuxies is super yummylicious!! If you're in the Riverside area, don't sleep on Tuxies. Their carne asada tacos are freaking delicious - the meat is marinated in a slightly sweeter sauce than I'm used to, but not OVERLY sweet. The quality of the carne asada is on point - you can tell on every bite that it's got the bounce to the meat but it's not overly chewy or tough. The tortillas are very moist and almost a tad too oily but maybe that's what made them taste so damn fresh and good. I ask for extra red salsa on the side because I love my tacos drenched in a good salsa. The red salsa is spicy-ish (maybe 6 out of 10 spicy); the taste and consistency is really good but I wish it was spicier. This place would be 5 stars if they had a spicier salsa - that would be the cherry on top! If management is reading this - please add a habanero salsa to your options! Will be back for more! Not necessarily the cheapest spot, but the delicious tacos are worth it! Pro-tip: on Taco tuesdays, it's get 1 taco plate at regular price (around $10) and get the second taco plate for $6! read more

This is a solid spot if you're looking for a good torta. The purelife green juice is soooo bomb and the service size is huge! Staff is nice but be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes for your meal. Plenty of space outside to sit and enjoy your food. Overall a solid spot and will definitely be back read more

I've seen this place in Riverside for years but never stopped by until today. I went with the super nachos with everything but beans on it, and then the strawberry icee. I loved the icee.. tasted more like a smoothie than a slushy. Everything that came on the nachos was good. The only disappointment was that the chips got really soggy really fast. I don't know if it's because they use both nacho cheese sauce and regular shredded cheese, but most of the chips was just a soggy mess. I would give them 3 stars if it wasnt for the friendly service. beware: its saddens me this place used to be my favorite. not only has the quality of food gone down but the portions are so much smaller and yet the prices gone up. they charge for every single item it you order a burrito that comes with guacamole but ask for it on the side they charge you extra to put on the side, really who does that. The chicken salad tostadas has the thinnest smeared on chicken salad I've ever seen like they didnt have enough and added extra extra lettuce. this place has gone down so bad all my family and all my friends will not ever go back! no napkins no utensils and this was a to go order it's shameful! read more

It's our go-to Mexican food. My wife and I love their street tacos. She also order them with nachos. It's worth to go. Workers at tuxoe' so friendly! Even when it's not Tuesday, Tuxie's is a great spot to get some cheap but good tacos in Riverside! The tacos are obviously the best choice. They offer all kinds of meat such as Carne Asada, Carnitas and my favorite, Al Pastor! If you're feeling a burrito or nachos a bit more, they have that here too. The BRC (beans, rice & cheese) Burrito was good and huge so you definitely get your money's worth. Imagine a BRC Burrito from Taco Bell and multiply it's size by 4. Yeah, that's big (that's what she said). The horchata wasn't bad either and they have plenty of jugos to satisfy your cravings. There's some outdoor seating but it's small and this spot is already located in a crowded parking lot so it's best to take your food to go. Good spot to grab some tacos for sure but avoid going during peak hours because the lines do get long! read more

Ok, so the food is good biting into it, buuuuutttt you will get the bubble guts real fast. I have ordered burritos, tacos, and sandwiches and I don't know if its the lard in the beans or the cheese, but everything gave me the runs. The people here are so sweet and the al pastor tacos are out of this world. Great prices and nice place to sit down to eat with friends. The quantity is perfect and the quality just tops that. Other restaurants will give you watered down drinks but El Patron doesn't play. We were only planning on one but it was so good, we couldn't resist getting another. From start to finish, the servers (Leslie and Cecilia) were on POINT. Their service went above & beyond expectations-- continuously checking on us, refilling drinks/food, taking photos, etc. Not only that, but also, when my young autistic nephew unfortunately got sick, they were so incredibly compassionate about it & helped clean up the mess right away. I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail & quality of care. As my grandma is getting older, we are especially cherishing these final years with her. We spent thousands overall (venue, music, photographer, special mass, etc) but every last cent was worth seeing her happy with all of her loved ones. After many months of planning, I was super nervous about something going wrong but I can honestly say that core memories were made. Thank you to Santiago, Leslie & Cecilia for your hospitality, good food & work ethic-- it truly meant so much for our family unit.
