I bought this beautiful 9-inch CRT TV with a VCR combo on eBay as a Christmas gift for someone. This guy quoted me a price to do a capacitor replacement and clean up on a very expensive Marantz receiver internally which was not done at all! but I was charged for?! He replaced a couple of light bulbs and sprayed some contact cleaner in the knobs and called it day. what a ripoff!!! over $400 dollars down the drain and he kept my turntable when he wanted to charge me $279 for doing nothing to it as well we had agreed on a price which included a new stylus/needle that he didn't change as well! I should've known better then to do business with a person working out of a broom closet!!!! My only alternative is to take him to small claims court to recuperate my money for work not done. I have a 65 inch samsung 4k that cost a pretty penny when brand new. It was 3 years old and I barely used it so I was kinda trippin when it wasn't working. Normally I would have just trashed it and bought a new 1 cause now that t.v. is only 5 or 600 dollars. However it bothered me that T.V. went out and I really wanted to know why? I gave it to Chris, $29 to look at it and if he could fix it that $29 would go towards the cost. Seems fair. He gave me a call said it was probably a component and could fix it....$300 and some change. Heck yeah! I got it back re-mounted it and it's as good as new. I don't look at it as spending 3something to get it fixed, I look at it as saving the $600 it would have cost to get a new one. Since we moved to Upland over twelve years ago, my wife and I have been going to TV Chris for all of our Audial/Visual needs. From VCR/DVD repair to trying to revive my old 5 CD changer and AM/FM tuner, TV Chris has been great in fixing all of my equipment. He is honest about being able to fix something and well as letting you know if it is really worth the cost of repair vs purchasing a new item. The service has always been fast and the cost has always been very reasonable. TV Chris also has other items for sale that have been fixed or purchased from previous owners that work great and are like new. When I was looking for another multiple CD changer, TV Chris remembered me and called to let me know that they had something I might be interested in. Let's face it people, it is very hard to find someone who does this nowadays and to find someone as good and honest as TV Chris is even harder. To have him located so close to us in Upland is lucky for us, but I would drive a distance for this type of service. I have been going to TV Chris for over 20 years now. I have given them thousands of dollars worth of Business by referrals in addition to myself with TV repairs. My husband and I went in to check to see if the bulb in my Mitsubishi TV was broken or if it was the TV that was out. The tech did a diagnostic on the bulb and found that it was out. After contacting Mitsubishi they informed me that I needed the diagnostic sent over by email in writing in order to get it covered under warranty. The diagnostic was already performed and Chris refused without a $28 charge to email a written statement over to Mitsubishi. After all the money that we have given him at a courtesy he should have sent the paper over no charge. I will not be going back to TV Chris and I will be telling all my friends and family not to go there either. Out of principle this is unacceptable as a reoccurring customer. Instead he'd rather lose a lifetime customer over $28 and an email. Very disappointed at this customer service I'm sorry lack of. Do not take your tv to this place to get fixed. I have never been more taken advantage of by a business in my life. Right after Christmas, I took my small 28' tv to be fixed. A part from the audio/video cord got stuck in the hole in the back of my tv. Mind you, the tv itself still worked, there was just a small pin from the cable cord stuck in the audio/video jack in the back. I took it to TV Chris. He seemed helpful at first. There was a $19 diagnostic fee, and he told me that the repair would cost $64 so I agreed to the repair. A few days later my husband picked up the tv. We plugged it in that night and it wouldn't turn on. I took it back immediately the next day. He called me back a few days later telling me it was broken, he would refund my money, and he would recycle my tv. This was the shady, taking advantage part. In the midst of dealing with 3 very sick children at home I said I was disappointed at his service and fine. My husband called him later and said we were not satisfied with that solution and that he owed us a new TV since the TV went to him in a working condition and we received it back completely broken. Something else interesting to note is that he sells TVs in his shop. How do I know that he just didn't take my TV and try to sell it to someone else and make a profit??? We are currently seeking legal action against this business. Terrible, terrible business practices. DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS! read more

We have been using Chris for many years setting up entertainment centers and fixing all of our programing needs. He is reliable, reasonable in price and always on time and available when needed. Took before and after pictures of our TV that we took in to get looked at. After a month of having the tv we finally get a call back informing us they could not fix the TV and we had 1 day to pick it up. Mind you, we have contacted them several times in regards to the status of our TV and every time their response was, "I'll look into it, and give you a call back". Never received calls back. Went to pick up our TV and the guy was walking around in white dirty socks, looking like he has not showered in a few days. Totally unprofessional and disgusting.
