While the actual product is wonderful and the order process easy - everything else after that is exceptionally BAD. One would expect a $5,000 fireplace/tv lift purchase with "white glove service" to be exactly that - it turns out NOT! The support from TV lift (Emily) and the actual moving company was deplorable and full of deception. No one would pick up the phone they hid behind email and text. The overseas customer support center was horrific. After weeks of not responding, they scheduled a date and blew it off merely texting they wouldn't deliver. Moreover, I needed to call to reschedule (which I waited on hold for 15 minutes and was disconnected as soon as I gave my name/phone). Finally, after a month of torment, a different delivery company was brought in to assist. They had nothing but complaints about the original company and proceeded to make a small dent in my wall. When I pointed it out, they simply ignored me (house was brand new). At that point I just wanted the nightmare over and sent them off. We've owned a TVLift cabinet since 2019. Apart from being a lovely piece of furniture, the lift system itself has always been reliable... We've operated it at least twice every day since 2019. Completely reliable... until last week! Argh! A power surge here caused the TVLift "controller" to fail. But initially, I wasn't sure. Was it the controller? Or did the drive motor itself fail? I contacted TVLift and, all via email, Emma proceeded to help me through troubleshooting. Yup, I needed a new controller. They FedExed one out to me. And with some pointers from Emma I was able to install the new controller in 5 minutes flat. We're back up and running. AND best of all... I was pleased to see that the new controller now incorporates a fuse. Super! I won't be having this same problem again. We are modifying cabinet for old large TV with new flat panel. The lift kit for 32" flat panel came with easy to understand instructions and in 20 minutes the lift was in and working, quick download from app store and iPhone was operating the lift. Then we decided to change lift to top mount not hinged and the top lift kit was sent to us free- not even a shipping charge. Excellent customer service and solid TV lift. read more

I was lucky enough to purchase a TVLiftCabinet.com from Wayfair. It is beautiful and very well made. Unfortunately, the tv lift was not working. I contacted TVLiftCabinet.com and was helped immediately. I was given very easy to understand tests to figure out the issues. I videoed what I was asked to do, so Emily could see if I was doing what she wanted. With a short video she could see and hear the results. I was fortunate to work with Emily Ochoa. She is amazing. Cabinet quality and customer service are good, but 'easy returns' is far from the way I'd describe that process. We tried to return and exchange the original cabinet we ordered because it doesn't fit with the room, but it turns out you have to totally coordinate the process yourself (researching companies to package/palletize, dock-to-dock ship, etc.)- and it costs anywhere from $1000-$1500. The company I found who offered to do everything themselves quoted me just over $1400 (before taxes), and the only hope of bringing total cost closer to $1000 is to call and coordinate multiple vendors. It was a substantial headache. Unless you're absolutely positive the piece fits & coordinates, be prepared for major effort & costs to return or exchange. read more

I purchased the andover tvlift cabinet on line and it was shipped immediately. I had questions regarding my shipment, installation questions and they answered promptly. This cabinet is so awesome and I'm so impressed with their prompt response to every question. The tv attached to the tv stand easily. The 360 degree turn catches the cords but it's workable and the back board has a little trouble latching as it powers back into the cabinet... Maybe 1 out of 5 times it does not latch to the cabinet. I live my tv lift! I live in a small NYC apartment and own a lot of art. I didn't want a tv using up art space on a wall. That's when tv lift came to my rescue. I now have the best of both worlds. Tv when I want it and art on my walls. It's is the same on both side so I can use as a room divider in the future. I had questions about install but Robert answered immediately. If you've any doubts about purchasing from this company - don't - they really are amazing. We have two cabinets - the first I purchased 10 years ago - the quality is really impressive. The second we bought around 5 years ago for another home. The cabinets are beautifully built, robust and last. What is most extraordinary is their support - after around 8 years the small remote stopped working - I called the company - a new remote arrived the next day with no charge. Yesterday I called because we were replacing our 11 year old plasma TV for a new OLED TV. The mounting bracket at the back of the TV was too high for the new TV - a quick call and a picture of the problem to Rob resulted in them telling me I needed an accessory bracket - I was thrilled because we love the cabinet and a lot of the new TVs have the mounting low rather than in the middle. I offered my credit card to pay with expedited shipping and was told that there would be no charge - the bracket arrived today - less than 24 hours later - I am absolutely flabbergasted at the care, promptness and service from this company - they are an absolute delight to deal with in a time when everything seems so frustrating, difficult and complicated. I ordered my TVLiftCabinet, I was told it was backordered and it would be in about a month. I called to check and was repeatedly told they were unable to give me a progress update because it was being made by the Amish ( which I doubt now) and since they didn't have modern communications they were unable to provide me with a ship date. At six weeks I asked them to provide me with a definite ship date. Again they told me because of the problem with communication with the Amish they were still unable to provide me with a ship date. I wrote and requested a refund, which they did promptly. I ordered from another supplier who shipped the cabinet the next day. The salespeople at TVLiftCabinet were very nice, but they just don't seem to have any control over there production or shipping of there product. read more

I was really excited about this product, but the company has been terrible. When I paid, they told me that the cabinet would be delivered in 7 - 10 days. It did not show up for more than 11 WEEKS. There was a gash in the side upon delivery. They told me they would fix it, but that was several weeks ago and they have not communicated anything. The motor is loud. The cabinet is solid and the heater works well, although the "fire" pattern is only 2 seconds repeating, so it makes me dizzy to watch it. For this much money, I expect a lot better customer service. read more

The WORST customer service. My suggestion is that you look elsewhere. Our cabinet arrived and first of all it smells of lacquer. 2nd the finish is very spotty. Considering how much you're paying for the cabinet it should have a uniform finish. Lets start out with the most important part if your out of state think twice before you buy a TV Lift from these people the customer service is horrible..... If your a out of state customer the first question should be if I need this lift serviced ( and you will) ask who will be the service agent in your area get the name and call them see if they ever heard of TV Lifts.... Another thing to remember you have a one year warranty (not a one year and one week warranty they love to remind you of that) thats after coughing up over 3000.00 for this lift. Another thing to be aware of this lift is made in China so the question is not if it will brake down but when it will brake down. If you must buy this lift I would suggest taking the extended warranty ( Good luck finding someone that can fix this thing when it brakes down leading back to my first question who will do the repairs) My problem started out slowly the TV wouldn't line up to go down as time went by the problem got worse now the TV would spin but not go down called customer service they diagnosed the problem I need a new controller and they had one in stock price 500.00 my next question are you going to have someone install it? Answer a big NO we don't have anyone in your area and that would be extra if we did...... He suggesting that I could do it myself.... My question what if it doesn't fix the problem what if I put it in wrong would that be covered by warranty??? So anyway I decided to save 500.00 and air my problem on yelp As you can tell I'm not happy about this lift but hopefully somebody will learn from my experience if nothing else ask the right questions Please remember this is a company with one store in Florida and if your problem that can't be resolved through customer service your legal options are very limited.............. read more

I purchased a year ago and have been unable to secure a cabinet maker that could make heads or tails of the directions and specs. needed. TV Lift Cabinet would not let me return even though I have never opened the box. I expected that I would pay for shipping and a restocking fee but even that didn't make a difference.
