So... besides being unhappy with what they called a monte cristo, which was just a grilled ham and cheese. They sold me on the jalapeño jelly and what did I get strawberry topping you get for your cheesecake. Way over priced. Then to top it off a dirty fork, not just one left from a bad wash, but I don't think this fork ever even made it to the sink. DISGUSTING!! They should be ashamed. The coffee was ice coffee in a hot cup. Not sure how long it has been sitting. Left very disappointed, but they kind of have you over the Barrel. Nothing else is open this late. There was a bone in the Cuban sandwich, it was great up until that point. They have a new robot that helps to bring food to the table, so are trying to be innovative. We had breakfast here twice, and the food and service were very good. I would give the breakfast crew at least 4 stars. Thursday evening, however, was only worth one star. We came in at the end of the dinner hour. Although it was not crowded, the host seated us behind a large barrier at the "forget-me-not" table. My husband tried to object, but the host dashed off immediately and promptly forgot our existence. We waited over 15 minutes, and no server ever came to take our order. I stuck my head around the barrier and tried repeatedly to get the attention of one of the many employees who were standing around. However, they were all too deeply engrossed in conversation with each other to notice. I finally got up to look for the manager on duty. Like magic, a server suddenly came back around the barrier! All he said was, "The person who was supposed to serve this table had to go somewhere else." No "Sorry for the wait," no "Thanks for your patience," no consideration, no nothing. When the food finally came, mine was fine, but my husband said his was so bad he sent it back. If you eat here, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES must you allow the host to seat you at the "forget-me-not" table. The WILL forget all about you there. read more

We ate dinner at 9PM on a Thursday night, and the food was worth the 20 min wait. I am Celiac and they have a gluten free bun that's very good--I got the BLTA on the GF bun with a side salad. There was a ton of bacon on my sandwich, the vegetables on my salad were fresh, everything was excellent. My husband got the beef lo mein and he said that was great, too. Horrible experience. I want to first say we had the most amazing waitress and she is not to blame at all (the waitresses at this restaurant do not typically bring out the food once ready). First our buffalo wing appetizer came out as fried chicken. The server saw and offered to get it fixed, I just asked for the buffalo sauce. No big deal. We waited 40 minutes and our dinner never arrived, I asked the server how much longer. Turns out the kitchen claims they never got the order. Waited another 25 minutes. Many tables came, ordered, ate, paid and left before we got our dinner. The manager was horrible, no apology. He didn't come see how our dinner was once we finally got it. Came here for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. Very quiet. I will say from the time I walked in, to the time I left my experience was well above average. All the staff were super friendly. I could see they have a "Team" atmosphere here, as they were all helping each other. The prices are a tad steep, but you do get a large portion to match the price. I wasn't able to finish my breakfast as it was too big. Plan on about $20 a plate average. Located dead center of the casino and very close to the room elevators, I could see orders waiting as several people choose to eat in privacy. They will have your "to go" orders ready. The quality of the food was also above average. If my chicken fried steak was frozen, I would have never known. Probably the best I've ever eaten. We came here for breakfast. It seemed like a nice spot and I am so happy we did it. The waitress was on top things and the service moved along quickly. I ordered the Shakshouka, which I never even heard of. With that said, I can't even compare it but it was really good. I would highly recommend it. The only thing for me is I felt it was a little too heavy on the olives (which I like) but, again, this is based on personal preference as I don't really know this dish. The bread on the side was fantastic - thick, fresh pieces of rye! I like how bright this place was, lots of windows, and a number of TV's if so inclined to watch some sort of sporting event. I had a great late night! My husband and I were astonished that this restaurant is open 24/7. I parked my F150 for free in their car tower. The food was not the average casino frozen to table entrée. The service here was so personal. The calamari were tasty with just the right amount crisp. The diamond grill marks on my MR steak add a touch of virtuosity. We decided to do dinner here since our hotel was sorely lacking in the food department. The menu was exactly the selection we'd want though we were shocked there was no house cocktail menu. Our food tasted great (3 cheese grilled cheese & the buffalo chicken mac & cheese), but all the negatives are with the staff. Our margaritas didn't come until halfway through us eating our entree & only because I reminded the waiter they were still missing. There seemed to be a lack of incentive in terms of drinks or dessert & the waiters are just interested in getting you in & out with your entree order. Ultimately, this is a great food spot since it's open at all hours with a great menu but don't expect to be impressed with the service. read more

Didn't receive any call/notification so came to check and supervisor gave our table up!? They sat us at two different tables across the restaurant then when a table became available to accommodate the group, supervisor would not allow us to move, yes it was same server who was willing to move us as well. The only place in Blackhawk open 24/7 so I gather this is the main reason it's always busy. Service was good, our server John was extremely polite and helpful, unfortunately he wasn't the chef. We ordered wings as our appetizer and on my first bite it felt as if I bit a snowball. Wings were literally warm on the outside and cold on the inside, first time encountering that. My husband and I have been coming to Blackhawk regularly for about a year now. Someone told us to get the chicken low mein at this restaurant because it was the best thing on the menu and it's so big it could easily feed 2 people. The first 5 or so times we got it it was just that. Absolutely delicious, loaded with flavor, loaded with a variety of veggies and LOADED with noodles to easily feed both of us. The last 5 or so times we've gotten the noodles they have been insanely inconsistent. Sometimes we get a TON of noodles, other times it's barely enough to feed one person. Sometimes it has a TON of sauce on it and other times it's like they forgot to put it on. Sometimes a ton of chicken, other times we can't believe we spent that much for 3 little pieces. I used to love their low mein but I can't get past how inconsistent it is that I don't think I'll get it anymore. I also tried their won ton soup and it's nothing to rave about. Not much flavor.
