    Miso ramen.
    Adrienne B.

We went here for dinner last night. It wasn't too busy but the service was rather slow. My husband got the bbq mac and cheese. He thought it was mediocre, a bid bland, and a small portion for the price. I got the miso ramen. I was a good portion of noodles veggies and tofu. The broth wasn't bad but definitely needed the hot sauce they brought out with it. There was a generous portion of tofu but it was barely hot and just barely cooked. I got the vegan caramel ice cream for dessert and it was very good. We would come back because it is a convenient location with vegan options but it wouldn't be our first choice.

We had the patty melt and caesar salad with salmon. Everything was average. The burger was a little dry. The sweet potato fries were unsalted. The caesar salad was good, but it didn't even have croutons. Basic diner food pretty much. The service was pretty good despite how busy it was. The restaurant was situated pretty much towards the middle of the casino floor. Can't really beat the hours and location when you're staying at the hotel.

This was my first visit to both the restaurant and the casino. I was greeted right away by the friendly hostess, and the restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained--which made a great first impression. I ordered the Spicy Buffalo Mac n' Cheese (and yes--it's labeled spicy on the menu!) along with a water and a Sprite. The food was flavorful and, exactly what I was hoping for my dinner. However, the service could use some improvement. My water was empty by the time my meal arrived, so I set the glass near the edge of the table to signal it needed a refill. My server walked by several times (6 times) without noticing/stopping or offering a refill. Midway through my meal, I also finished my Sprite and added it next to the empty water glass--hoping that two empty cups would do the trick. Twelve minutes later, my server returned and I requested refills on both drinks. He did bring them quickly once asked, which I appreciated. There were only a couple of tables seated at the time, and while there seemed to be plenty of staff on hand, many were gathered near the front chatting. It would be great to see more teamwork when it comes to guest needs--especially drink refills. A quick glance at surrounding tables could make all the difference. Overall, great food and clean atmosphere, but service could benefit from a bit more attentiveness and teamwork.

There are not very many places in the Black Hawk or Central City areas where you can get late night food. In fact, this is the primary place where it is possible. The food is solid, too. Service has always been good and parking is easy. It's just... it's a casino. You will be assaulted with the mental pollution of slot machine noise and the prices are higher than they should be. I feel like the casinos have become especially greedy and contemptuous of their clientele of late. That's especially true in places like Las Vegas, but can be seen to varying degrees in other casino towns as well through hidden fees and attempts to nickel and dime guests at every turn. I'm not a gambler, I'm just here for the food. That makes me a non-target demographic and I'm pretty damn sure I'm not wanted, so at least the feeling is mutual. So, anyway - you can get late night food here. That's nice so long as you can tolerate psychological manipulation and contempt that will be thrown your way. It's up to you!

We were looking for some food quickly as it was getting later in the evening. We were told this place was open 24/7, he we the name. The service was spectacular and we were seated right away as they were not busy. Unfortunately, they do have very limited vegetarian options. We received the cauliflower crust pizza and it was burnt all the way around. Really can't believe they serve this. It was really lackluster overall. I am sure maybe their other food is great for people who eat meat. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. They are right inside the casino and have a very casual vibe.

Pancakes that I can't even finish.
    Minde S.

The ambience is nice, the service is ok, but the food is HORRIBLE. We ordered hamburgers to go last night and they were so dry, you had to take drinks of water between bites because it would get stuck in your throat! Came back this morning for breakfast because how can anyone ruin breakfast? Yep - ruined. "Buttermilk pancakes" are not actual buttermilk. You can tell these are from the box, plus sitting out for a while. So tasteless and dry. 3 pancakes for $15! Do not order!

Pretty average experience here with mediocre service and a little expensive prices. Their food isn't bad though and you can use your casino comps from monarch at this place as well which would be the only reason why I'd recommend eating here. The brisket burger was great but the steak was tough and not that tasty. Loved the fries though.

Not super impressed. Started bad with a gross fork that still had food/something on it. Father-in-law orders coffee but no coffee comes for at least 8-10 minutes and then it's lukewarm. He did order decaf at 10 PM. Even his refill was lukewarm. My wife and I ordered the Monte Cristo. She let me pick what we were going to share and I read that it came with a jalapeno jam. It did NOT. Just a regular cherry compote or something similar but no jalapeno jelly. No powdered sugar on the Monte Cristo, which is OK for me but I was surprised that it came without the sugar and no mention that it was not the typical Monte Cristo. I should have picked the fish and chips because that did look good. Did I mention the annoying gnats that were flying around our table. Yeah; again, not impressed.

    Lettuce shrimp cups + calamari
    Kristi M.

I'm going to list the pros first, then the cons. Pros: - it's 24/7, (obviously) lol there isn't a lot of options after 9pm - menu items: great shrimp lettuce cups, crispy chicken strips, and french fries (good ranch and chipotle aïoli) - great customer service (shout out to our waiter, Cash) Cons: -The smash burger wasn't an actual smash burger and lacked any seasoning. - the baked potato was one of the worst I've ever had -the calamari..just don't order it -since you're in the casino, there isn't any bathrooms in the restaurant area and they are not close by

Not sure why the stars are so low. This place is great! I have eaten here every single time that I have gone to Monarch, at least four times. I have sat down and eaten there, done take out and even ordered food at 2pm before. Can't go wrong. Please bear in mind at busy hours, or ordered at the take out stand, the food will take longer. Finally sat down for breakfast, and it was a great experience. I wish I would have gotten his name, but our server was amazing. It was 9am on a Thursday and he was super upbeat/friendly. Our food came out in around 10 minutes and was delicious. Highly recommend. Overall, 5/5

We requested the Korean Chicken Wings which were described online as a "brown sugared sweet and savory sauce" but were stopped by the server who asked if we'd tried it before and if we liked spice. I like spice, but my husband isn't as big of a fan. The server told us "They're spicy. They're too spicy!" so we went for the Lil Dragon Wings at his recommendation. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with grilled Wagyu beef which was grilled directly in front of me, and topped it with a ramen egg, corn and lime. The tables have little induction heaters on them which you can place your bowl on to reheat if they get too cold! I utilized this cool tool twice to reheat the broth after it had gotten below my preferred temperature. The wings were crispy and well seasoned, and we didn't feel deprived of any spice (so thank you to our server for your recommendation!). The Tonkotsu broth was super rich, flavorful and warming, the ramen noodles were perfect al dente, and the Wagyu steak was mind blowingly tender and delicious! I didn't get pictures this time, but would highly recommend both the wings and the ramen, and might risk the Korean wings next time, just to say I tried them!

Lately it feels like a lot of restaurants are charging more while giving less, and it's getting harder to find places that actually care about the customer experience. Unfortunately, this was another one of those experiences. We ordered three side dishes and three drinks, and the bill came out to around $100. Two of the three sides were served cold, the dumplings at least came out hot, but they were pretty mediocre and nothing I'd order again and drinks were extremely over priced. The waitress was fine, no real issues there, but it did feel like the food may have been sitting in the kitchen too long before it hit the table even though the place was empty. At the end of the day, it's hard to justify paying that kind of money for cold, underwhelming food, then feeling awkward about the tip because the experience just wasn't good. I won't be back. If I had known this is what the experience was I would have definitely gone somewhere else. As an added bonus I felt like crap afterwords, I think it was because of poor quality ingredients. My aim in writing these reviews is to highlight the restaurants and businesses that truly take care of their customers, to give people a heads up about the ones that clearly do not prioritize quality or the customer experience, and to express myself in a world where it often feels like there is very little room to speak honestly about paying top dollar for mediocre experiences. Very disappointing.

The banchan, sundubu, and mandu-guk were all incredibly flavorful and comforting. The ambiance was warm, clean, and inviting. The decor was a blend of Korean and Thai influences, with familiar Korean touches like soju brand advertisements alongside Thai decorations that reflected the owners' background. It felt authentic to both cultures without trying too hard. The only thing that stood out to me was that they serve jasmine rice instead of traditional Korean or Japanese sticky rice. I personally love jasmine rice, so it wasn't an issue, but it does tend to break apart a bit when mixed into soup. The owners are incredibly friendly, and we'll definitely be finding excuses to make the drive back. What's especially interesting is that this place outshines several Korean restaurants in Aurora that are actually Korean-owned.
