My husband and I have been coming to Blackhawk regularly for about a year now. Someone told us to get the chicken low mein at this restaurant because it was the best thing on the menu and it's so big it could easily feed 2 people. The first 5 or so times we got it it was just that. Absolutely delicious, loaded with flavor, loaded with a variety of veggies and LOADED with noodles to easily feed both of us. The last 5 or so times we've gotten the noodles they have been insanely inconsistent. Sometimes we get a TON of noodles, other times it's barely enough to feed one person. Sometimes it has a TON of sauce on it and other times it's like they forgot to put it on. Sometimes a ton of chicken, other times we can't believe we spent that much for 3 little pieces. I used to love their low mein but I can't get past how inconsistent it is that I don't think I'll get it anymore. I also tried their won ton soup and it's nothing to rave about. Not much flavor. I love Monarch casino so I hope they do something about this restaurant!! read more

Sadly won't be coming back here. Was excited to try out secondly made pizza (first one was blackened beyond crispy) until I was struck by the taste of parchment paper. Yes parchment paper sealed into the crust. Recommend to check the bottom of your pizza before taking a bite. I imagine if they do it once , they'll do it again. Do not come here if you have a choice. Terrible service and food made for a miserable experience. On the food side our pizza was comparable to a frozen one in terms of flavor. Burgers were way over cooked and the steaks seemed to be made out of the cheapest cuts imaginable. The service was even worse with orders messed up, late, and some never coming. The waitress screwed everyone's checks up which took FOREVER to sort out and then she lost one couples credit card somehow. I seriously do not understand how they could make our trip as bad as it was. If you enjoy food that's somehow worse that Applebee's at 5x the price this place is perfect for you. read more

Great breakfast. My friend and I ordered the two egg specials. The server was very helpful. I would go with the two egg soft scramble, crisp hash browns, 4 strips of scrips bacon. I like how they give you whipped butter instead of drowning your toast in oil. Hats off to the staff read more

Honestly not one to do this as I am also a server and I know how it goes. Tonight was rather interesting. We ordered everything all at once, drinks and food. My drink came out... well. Completely wrong. Initially was told they didn't have it, then it came out first in a martini glass (I ordered a Bloody Mary) with no bloody mix? Weird. Get my correct drink, no worries, but the other drink ordered was atrocious. Food was okay, nothing worth complimenting. Finally order dessert, which took 20 minutes.... When asking our server where it was, she told us it was still frozen and they were having issues thawing it. What????? I understand mistakes, getting in the weeds... we weren't checked in on, nor was there any attempt to maybe fix the experience. No excuse for it. read more

Took 30 mins after ordering to get our OJs and still waiting for food. Two tables walked out because the service is so slow. Not looking forward to food and advise to avoid this place at all costs. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed. I ordered room service for breakfast. First off it came in a box.....which was weird, I was hoping for a plate. It's a little hard to eat eggs and bacon in a box. Lol the eggs were supposed to be over easy and they were hard and completely cooked through. The toast was in the box with the eggs, hash browns and bacon so they were soggy And not toasted at all. If no stars was an option that's what I'd give. We were seated and then ignored while five of the waiters stood and chatted with the hostess, laughing and hugging and having a good time. We stayed here 3 days and ate at Twenty-Four/7 at least 5 times. The food was spot-on as was the service. We ordered all over the menu and everything we got was above average or more. There were other places to go in town but we didn't bother because there was always something else to try. It appeared that the managers were always watching the goings on too which makes for a well run restaurant. Never had to wait for much. My wife had a Shakshouka dish for breakfast one morning that she really liked. I had omelets and my daughter had French Toast that we really both liked. Wings and Hummus appetizers were great too. Can't say enough good about this place. And the great wait staff! Reasonable prices too. read more

The nachos said it's fresh fried tortilla and all this good stuff but it's for sure cheese from Costco and tortilla chips from king soopers. Came for dinner and was asked by 3 different servers if we've been helped over the course of 15 minutes. Took 5 minutes to notify me they were out of the IPA I wanted. After about an hour of being there, we were served our food. Not hungry anymore, we asked for a box and the check. We never got a box and decided to not wait any longer. Staff didn't seem organized or like they knew what was going on. Only ones that did were the bussers that cleaned our table within seconds of leaving. Multiple guests also were complaining to the hosts about the lack of service. 11/10 would not recommend. read more

Our server Jennifer was great. It seemed like she knew what we needed before we even needed it! You could tell she was extremely busy, but she was personable and still made sure to make time for us. Even with the high volume of customers, everything came out fairly fast. Our food was awesome (and the prices are pretty reasonable, especially for the area!) We got shrimp linguini and something with rice and impossible meat that I can't remember the name of. Great vegetarian selection! stay away!! this place is so out of control. we put our name on the wait list with our cell phone number and we were never called we had to go up and ask. We placed our order and asked for our soup and salad first and then we were in nope hurry. after about 20 minutes we had to hunt our waiter down to find out where our food was, three other tables they were seated after us had already had their food delivered. And just as I thought all the food came at once soup salad and main entrée. My beef dip sandwich had the Audrey sauce all over the plate so the bread was already all soggy. Made a reservation than got there TO AVOID WAITING IN LINES, THEN, , they told us they dont even use the reservation system and that it'd take 1 HOUR to be seated. 2nd time here, second bad experience. My card was charged twice and I clearly showed them it on my bank statement and without keeping the receipt because I didn't notice till the next morning they refused to reimburse me for 1 of the charges. They even acknowledged the girl that charged me struggles and was new, but did nothing for me. I should have never given this place a second chance. It's never happening again. Last time it was hot food that was disgusting. My pizza was undercooked and doughy and my husband's sausage was still pink in the middle. I thought I was safe ordering a salad and sandwich which was already prepared. Nope I got double charged instead. Oh and asked if I want ketchup for my sandwich (really) oh and no fork for my salad. This restaurant is connected to the new Monarch hotel in Blackhawk. There were several reason I rated this low. Ordered soup, it came warm and had to send it back. Waiter seemed a bit unconcerned during this dining experience. Had a burger and fries. I asked for ketchup and got three tiny packets. I asked for more. None came. I asked again and the waiter said he would have to look for more. Later, three tiny packets came. I told him I would like a total of at least ten tiny packets or a ketchup bottle. None were delivered until after I completed my meal they brought me three more. The burger was bland, dry and lukewar. Didn't find any ketchu, mustard or pickles on the burger. A 2 out of ten! Through out this process, the waiter seemed not to care about our dining experience. Will never return to this restaurant. read more

But if you don't mind soaking your bread in water first this may not even be noticeable to you. Would not have been so bad if it was a quick turn around for them to put it on a new bun. But we had to try and flag down a waitress (who ignored our attempt) then a bus boy who said he would get her (but didnt) when she finally showed back up and everyone else was done eating she said she would have another one made..... we waited got the food with the wrong side this time but hey its just a $18.00 burger meal. I am at a loss for words to describe how disappointing it was to take my wife here for our anniversary. First, we shared a BLT for lunch, the bacon was tough and chewy and the half slice of tomato was hard to find. Dinner later was really like going to a second rate small town dive, it was so messed up that the manager lost his composure and comped half our meal without us even asking him to, (he just simply knew it was that bad). Breakfast the next day was even more disappointing, they burned part of the dish, had to re-cook it, they kept the part that was already done under heat until the remake was finished. Everything except the remade part arrived cold, the remade item was put on the plate on top of burnt particles from the original disaster, so halfway through eating it, I got a nasty burnt taste that didn't go away for hours. I'm not sure what has happened to this place but it has gone Down Hill! I was here last year and it had a bigger/better menu and the food was very good. This time, I went in the afternoon and service was slow and the hostess was surly. The waiter was very nice but there are some serious issues here. Most of the people that work there congregate around the front stand/payment area. I ordered a Chopped salad and it was HUGE which was great except they use strange lettuce that I can't eat. Most places use Romaine so I asked if they could remake it with Romaine and get it to go since I'd been there for quite some time. Waiter said yes but I waited, and waited, and waited and he realized that so asked the Manager if he could comp the salad. They did but when I got it and started to eat it, it had the same weird lettuce and no utensils..What the? Went back for Breakfast the next morning, which was a mistake. AGain the waiter was great but my coffee wasn't hot and the cream was sour. The pancakes had an antiseptic taste and the chicken sausage were pathetic looking, they were obviously in the microwave Way too long. I won't go back there. It was Bad! read more

Great atmosphere. Bad food. Pork belly BLT sounded great on the menu. Not sure how it ends up being cooked to a crispy dry piece of petrified wood. The sandwich was inedible. The server offered to bring a cup of soup on the house and I was served a cup of cold clam chowder. It was disgusting. No offer to take the uneaten sandwich off the bill. They will hopefully find someone who actually knows how to cook. Be warned by the other reviews and stay away from this place at the Monarch Casino. read more
