I used to buy my vales and eliquid at this store regularly but the owner would consistently overcharge me, so I took my business elsewhere. However, I went in today and he overcharged me for a vape and he told me it came with extra coils and that it would last 6 months but these were all bold faced lies; there were no extra coils one on coil lasts for one month tops. Then he charged me 20 dollars for an absolutely tiny amount of eliquid and lied that it would last longer. This man is absolutely DISGUSTING and the epitome of greed. I walked into the twilight zone yesterday and met with Eddie. I told him my situation where my old box mod burned out on me and I was in dire need of a new or used box mod. He showed me a few new 18 650 box mods I mentioned to him that the new ones are pretty complicated like my old one that burned out, and I spent too much time fiddling around with it. Does not take care of customer purchases that are defective. Bought a vapor unit that would continually leak and was defective. Proprietor was never able to fix problem. Would not let me exchange with another product with receipt or get a refund. I was however able to send to manufacturer for a new vapor unit. I recommend "New City Plus Smoke Shop in Oakland. Good service and proprietor is more knowledgeable on Vape units and had no problems with any exchanges I needed there. read more

APPROPRIATELY NAMED Went to Twilight Zone to buy my first vape pen the other day. The woman who waited on me was not helpful at all, didn't ask me any questions to help steer me to the right product or anything. Very weird vibe. Anyway, I'd already bought an oil cartridge and I don't know if it's the cartridge or the pen (oh, it's called a "battery," and they don't explain that this term applies to the whole unit, not just the part that provides the juice, i.e., normal English usage), but it's very difficult to draw anything out of it. I went back to the shop where I bought the cartridge, and the guy at least tried to be helpful. Not so at the very appropriately named Twilight Zone. My vape mod died a day before a 2 long week trip. I had to get something fast. I ended up getting an Aspire Plato here. After getting home I saw that the kit was supposed to come with a battery and 2 drip tips, however the kit I got from them had the battery removed and only 1 drip tip... Pretty lame. When I went to swap coils later that night noticed they weren't the same size and wouldn't work. Thought it was a mistake and came to swap them out the next day. One pro for this store: They have a really good stock of atomizer coils. However, a major con: For a store that is listed under vape shops when one does a search, it really should offer a selection of vape juices, in my honest opinion. If this store had a vape juice selection, I would add two more stars to this review. Another con: The selection of atomizers seem to be a lot more expensive than competitors in the East Bay and SF area. I went looking to replace an atomizer that I bought at another store in SF, and Twilight Zone wanted $10.00 than I paid for the atomizer only a couple of months ago. Last, Be mindful when going here that parking is pretty limited. I usually park in the red zone, say a prayer, throw on my flashers, and dart into the store for coils and right back out again. I bought 2 of my bongs there. I am not sure if the quality here is better then the other smoke shops since I've never bought a pipe anywhere else. This place seems to be the most convenient and lot of selection to choose from. They have pipes from cheap to high end. Also they have these incense sticks with lot of selection as well. Both females that I interacted with in helping me were nice however I am taking one star away because the first time I bought my pipe the holder didn't fit and I had to go back to get a replacement. This is when Donna helped me. The second time I bought my pipe Donna sister almost forgot to put the pipe holder in the bag I had to remind her otherwise I would of had to come back. On my first visit I was very satisfied. I brought a pretty good kit. Two weeks later I went there for a replacement tank. The saleslady informed me that they no longer carry tanks for nicotine vamping. She told me they can only sell tanks for marijuana gaping. This is one of the worst smoke/vape shops I have ever been into. I went in a few months ago and purchased two bottles of "juice" and left without a "thank you." Recently, I was out of coils and decided I would pick some up there to buy me some time before I went online to purchase coils, etc. I like to shop locally but not when the merchandise is marked up at least 50-50% of what reputable online shops sell for. Moreover, the woman working behind the counter (I've encountered here on more than one occasion) is desultory and borderline rude. Case in point: when I asked her about the prices of the coils I was interested in she didn't even look up from her magazine. This place is pathetic. The staff is of little to no help. The prices are out of line. They are judgmental (about what I don't know...dress? Make of vaporizer?) Never again will I darken their doors and am going to pass this on to all of my vaping friends. Stay away from this place unless you enjoy paying highly inflated prices and treated by staff who seem disinterested at best. They should be ashamed and I'll be surprised if their doors stay open much longer without some major revamps. read more
