Went here several times and spent a minimum of 8 hours each time. A waste of 8 hours. No fish or even bites on most trips. The time I did they were very small catfish. The lake is supposed to be known for its monster cats but despite having the gear and bait for it, I have yet to see one. I don't see others pulling any in either. The owner seems nice enough and they do have overnight camping on the weekend but the fishing isn't good. I might give it 1 more shot at an overnight stay as other places I go the catfish do seem to bite better at night. Especially the bigger ones. read more

Nice lake. A lot of space to spread out definitely get there early. Late night fishing is better for bigger cats.

Went there today, it's now $14 per person (plus tax). Spent 5 1/2 hours and didn't catch anything worthwhile. Between the 4 of us we caught 11 tiny catfish, an itty bitty bluegill and then two catfish that were about 1 pound each. Nothing worth keeping and after driving two hours each way and spending $57.69 just for the four of us to fish I don't know that we will be back. read more

Terrible, I've been here 3 times and have caught absolutely nothing.....even using the bait they recommend. Last weekend I spent almost $40 stayed 5 hours and caught nothing, it's a whole wrap for this place.....if you bring your kids....they will catch because they purposely overfill the kids lake so your kids can catch. The other side. Absolute waste of time you'd have a better chance finding a random river to fish in. read more

Caught a lot of blue gill, some carp, fish are very active , nice spot but admission is too high for fishing, they sell bait though which is good however admission fee should cover any fish you catch which isn't the case , you have to pay per pound. Yesterday me and my son happened to stop here. My husband happened to be attending a funeral down the street from here and we were a little too early to pick him up. While driving less than a mile from the church we noticed the blue sign that kinda sit off from the road. We were only trying to kill a little time and I love fishing so I decided to check it out. We pulled in and went to check into the Bait Shop as we were instructed to by the signage on property. There were two men on duty and they both were friendly, helpful and encouraged me to try the property out since it was my first time being there. They had everything a person would need to start their fishing adventure. There was a nominal fee that was well worth the price to enjoy the lake. As you entered the lake part you could see geese and ducks enjoying the property, there was a boating launch part if you wanted to go out in the middle and fish and there was a bridge that extended across it for up close fishing. The bridge also led to a part of the lake that was exclusive for children 12 and under. It obviously was stocked with fish to help encourage the younger kids to get involved with fishing. They had a little paddle boat attached to the bridge if you wanted to go out in that. I saw multiple families out there enjoying the lake with their children. It is definitely a family oriented place for you and the kids to enjoy the joy of fishing. I saw a man catch some catfish and another man catch something that he put up too quick for me to identify. There was benches out there for you to sit and had several spots where it appeared someone had a fire pit started the old fashioned way out of wood. Next to the fire pits were trees that had already been chopped so you could easily start a night fire if need be. The noise level was respectable as everyone seemed to be totally focused on the sport of fishing. Me and my son were not there long at all but while there we sat on the benches enjoying the waterfall that was in the middle of the lake, my son walking up to the ducks and their babies and enjoying the peaceful serene scenery. As we exited it also asked that you stop into the bait shop and check out. Again, the man was friendly flashing me a smile and wave as we drove off. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone interested in fishing. read more

Do NOT go here! Owner is very rude! I was the only one fishing and had 3 other people (my mom, girlfriend and little brother) that just wanted to watch, he tried to charge them $42 to just watch! That is $14 a person, more than the $12 it was gonna cost me to fish! RIDICULOUS! read more

We were in Georgia for a wedding and the guys decided to spend the day fishing at Twin Bridges Lake. It was a rainy day, but they still adventured on! Many fish were caught...our family has a tradition of betting a signed dollar for the first, last, most and biggest fish. The five year old ring bearer won it all! The only thing that there was any complaint about was getting an open real to use. So, if you are not experienced with that type of real, you should let them know to give you a closed real. This place was a disappointment. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it is clean and a nice place to hang out. But as for fishing.... don't waste your time or money. We've been twice within the last month and both times we've gotten not a bite nor a nibble. We saw ONE man pull a decent sized cat fish out which got our hopes up, but nothing. Both times, once in the after noon once at night, we sat out there for hours just to get our money's worth. This lake sucks and I honestly don't think the owner keeps it stocked. read more

The place is great. There are fish in the lake pretty much year round. They stock it at least once a year and then it is catching and not fishing. The rest of the year you gotta know what your doing and fishing is about patience. Checking the good times to fish really helps you show up. However fishing with shrimp and worms seems to get them. read more

I have fished there twice and, as it is the only pay lake I have ever fished, I cannot compare it to others. I caught a lot of small channel catfish up to around 2lb, several of which were very skinny. I also caught a 24lb 8oz small mouth buffalo, which was in excellent shape. If you are a half way decent angler, you should catch plenty of the small channel cats. I fished corn/bread/ worm at around 30 yards and had plenty of bites. I couldn't get the fish close in. There are apparently large catfish there...however I was not fishing for them, so I have no idea if the rumor is true and b) if it is, how easy they are to catch. Is it worth $12? Not really for me...I can catch better fish for $0 out of the 'Hooch. However for those without a decent local river or lake nearby, maybe. read more

Our family has looked forward to our visits here, since we began coming last Summer, even though we had never caught any fish. It was a nice family oriented location, with friendly staff. Yesterday, we paid, as we always do, $32 to fish, bought $10 worth of bait and snacks from the front office. We spent over $50. We fished the children's lake, and the other side of the lake, as we always do. You must be accompanied by a child in order to fish the children's lake. It is posted. There were several men on the children's lake fishing, who did not have children with them. The children's lake is catch and release, and none of the men were releasing the fish back into the water. The owner did not at any time say anything. Much to our delight, we caught 6 fish- 3 from the adult side, which we kept (you can keep up to 3 lbs and pay for the rest, which we intended to do.). We caught three on the children's side which we threw back as is posted. One fish caught from the children's side, we could not dislodge the hook, and since it was going to die, we kept it. I threw the other two I caught back. We were given several fish by other people fishing the adult side. We had all of the fish together and I had just gone to buy ice for the cooler to put the fish in, before we went to the front office to have them weighed and pay. We were thrilled with what a beautiful, happy, day we were having w our family and already talking about bringing a tent with us the next time, and inviting my parents along. I was taken aback when the owner came up to me and aggressively asked me when I intended on releasing the fish. I told him we were going to pay for them and take them home to cook. He told me I would do no such thing and started walking over to our belongings, at which point, we followed him. He accused us of keeping our catches from the children's lake, took our fish from us and demanded that we take them and evenly distribute them between the two sides of the lake, which is divided by a bridge and nets, the nets are full of holes, so I'm not sure how it keeps the fish on any one side, We asked why we were not being allowed to keep what we had and he got hysterical and said he "Wasn't the fish police, didn't know where we caught the fish.", then over and over, "I trusted you, I trusted you.". His behavior was embarrassing to us and ruined what had been a wonderful day. The thing that bothered me most was the look on my little boy's face, confused by why the man was upset, and a little scared by his ranting. Then the owner talked about us to other patrons as we packed up our belongings to leave. In the several times we visited, we have paid close to $150. Yesterday was the only day we ever caught fish. He has never treated us like that before. My opinion is this comes down to greed. He wants your money for admission, but if you have fish, he doesn't want you to keep them, even though he has posted that you can keep up to three pounds and pay by the pound for anything more than that. Sadly, we will be spending our Summer and our money elsewhere. read more

it's a very decent spot to fish. it's not the biggest lake but you'll most definitely catch a fish here. it's peaceful and the people here are friendly. my first time here I caught 6 catfish. I recommend beginners to come here and practice. read more
