I love Tribble Mill. I've been coming here with my clients from work since 2020 and have had many lovely, peaceful, reflective walks here. This is one of my favorite parks in Gwinnett. I feel like it has something for everyone. There are steeper trails to challenge yourself and plenty of flat , paved paths for all who might have balance issues or just want to take a smooth stroll. There is so much to check out, I have not been around the entire park on foot yet. I just recently discovered the back end where it turns into the Harris Greenway Trail. The park is a great place for a picnic at one of the many pavilions, fishing or kayaking on the lake, biking, playing outdoor games with plenty of areas to spread out, etc. and the facilities are always clean when I've been here (pavilions and bathrooms). It's just an overall, great tranquil park. You can even bring your horses here, if you have them. Highly recommend this park if you haven't been yet. read more

Tribble Mill is a HUGE park in Lawrenceville and it is perfect for family fun. It's a 713 acres park with 3.4-mile paved trail, but plenty of non paved equestrian, mountain biking and hiking trails. Some of the amenities go from fishing lake, playgrounds, picnic tables with grills to restrooms. There is plenty of parking, and plenty of trash cans everywhere so make sure to clean after yourself to keep the parks well maintained. This is definitely a very large park. There are 3 lakes at this park, an equestrian area, a playground and several paved trails. The playground was very accommodating and offered options and ramps for people in wheel chairs. There was also a pavilion nearby so you could watch the kids from the shade. The park seemed to be well kept we did not find trash. Getting to the playground was a bit confusing if you follow the signs, but really you just have to follow the signs to the end. read more

My favorite park to go to, i live about a 15min walk away. I come here constantly and take loads of pictures. I am always finding a new trail or path i've never been down. Great place to go to enjoy nature, take your kids if you have any, or just solo it out. I love everything about this park you will not be disappointed. They also have open grills too near the pavilions right by the water you can use at any time if they're not being rented out. read more

Tribble Mill is undergoing landscaping renovations. I recently discovered that one of my usual dirt trails that leads to Sliding Rock is now nicely paved. We took our pup out for a nice stroll this past weekend, which she really enjoyed. The creek had steady flow and she enjoyed running through the water. This park is packed with plenty of activities for families to enjoy; you can also fish here. Signage is clear. Always clean up after your pets. read more

The most beautiful, serene, captivating park in Gwinnett. Complete with a mini waterfall and brook. If you go early enough, it's nit uncommon to see deer abound. Also, there are nice areas to bbq, or even sit down and get some work done. I typically do a 3 mile walk when there, abs I feel totally safe. read more

Large, well kept park with nice lake views. They have a 3.5 mile paved path around one of the lakes, which is nice. I didn't see any dirt trails marked and supposedly there are some, based on other reviews. The inadequate 'trail' map doesn't mention any. Along with providing a map that shows where the dirt trails might be, this place needs more maps posted onsite. The only one I saw was at the entrance road. None at the big parking area with the playground and restrooms. Overall, a nice place but if I want to do a little suburban hiking in this area, I'll go down the road to Harbins Park. read more

There are several beautiful trails to walk or bike. The yurts are a really fun way to experience the park without roughing it too much. Leashed dogs are allowed on most trails, but can only stay in yurt #1. They book out fairly quickly so plan ahead. read more

Bridges floods and trails Tribble Mill Park is a 715 acre park in Gwinnett County that has all kinds of cool things to do. A nice lake for fishing, a paved path for biking and walking, equestrian and mountain bike trails and even a crazy river to bounce down during floods. Some unique bridges, dams and waterfalls add interest while prowling around the park. The park is still being improved and construction is going on in places but since the park is so huge the work doesn't get in the way of whatever activity you are doing. You can move around and have fun without bumping into other people. When we were visiting the park a river was running wild from recent heavy rains and some young, adventurous folks were sliding down the river and rocks on their butts. A fun if potential painful way of having fun. Tribble Mill Park is a deceptively huge and lovely park that doesn't reveal it's true personality from the road. A lovely Gwinnett County park that has enough nature and space to do just about anything you could possibly desire. read more

Here is what you need to know most about Tribble Mill or ANY of the larger Gwinnett County parks: They are amazing works in progress. As a Gwinnett County resident, I am extremely proud of our park system. We have some of the largest public parks I've ever seen in my life and they are all well maintained and each have a theme and personality of their own. Some focus on different sports like soccer, baseball and football while others have historic features like old Grist Mills or pay special attention to recreational activities such as skate boarding, aquatics or mountain biking. The glory of Tribble Mill is nature! If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil place to walk your dog -or- go for a morning run, this is one of thee best parks in the entire Gwinnett County park system! Tribble Mill is approximately 713 acres and because of the size of many GC parks, they tend to add new features (little by little) every couple of years instead of all at once. This makes almost any review obsolete within 3 years or so. Before my visit today, I hadn't been to Tribble Mill park in about 5 years and I was utterly shocked at all the new trails (both paved and unpaved) that were now available. I literally got lost, and that never happens to me. The trail around Ozora Lake is so beautiful that I am now going to make this my official walk/running park. However, today I discovered a hidden gem that I was not previously aware of! Just past the overflow release for the lake, you will find a dirt trail that leads to a large stone outcrop where a creek crosses. Normally this is a tame area when the creek is behaving as it usually does, but today was special. We had about 2 inches of rain overnight and the creek was raging. Locals who are in-the-know were using the smooth surface beneath the creek as a giant slide that propelled you downstream 100+ yards! I was not prepared for such fun, but I was almost tempted to join them fully clothed! You can bet money the day after the next heavy rainfall I will be here sliding through the water on my butt or our pool tube! You can find them online and from what I can tell, Tribble Mill isn't even 1/3rd of the way through its planned future development. There is an old Grist Mill they plan on preserving and some really cool additions to the festival field as well as completely developing the area around Chandler Lake, the second and smaller lake. As a runner, I love the paved trail around the lake. It's long enough so that it doesn't feel repetitive as you do your laps and it has a variety of hills vs flat terrain. If you start near the (under renovation) playground you've got some good flat pavement for the first mile and then the last mile gets very hilly and challenging. Starting your route at the playground gives you access to a good water fountain as you continue each lap. One of the other reviewers said it was 3.4 miles - but if you decide to not take random branches and do a circuit it's about 2.7 according to my GPS. My only con with this park - to me, it feels much more humid than the other parks I run at. That plus the distance from where I live keeps this as a daily park for me and puts it as a weekend park when I don't want to make the drive to Stone Mountain. read more

Awesome place for family, fun and adventure. The park is major, with a lot of different things to do from fishing to boating to water rapids to walking to exercise and fairgrounds. I take my family there to work on my photography because of all the great scenery and beauty. If you need a place to socially distance and relax, this is definitely a must see. read more

I was told, "Paul, go over to Tribble Mill Park for fishing." Today I decided to go and recon the area to look for some potential spots to do some bank fishing. I found about 3 so far, however I didn't patrol the whole park due to the fact that it's very spacious. It was cloudy out today and I sort of wish I had my rods and reels with me. However I will be there soon enough. The spots that I've found isn't far at all from the parking. I can be at my spots between 45 seconds to a minute and 15 seconds. I love to do some catfishing as well as bass. Those are my targets. So when I do go and end up with a 20 pound cat, I will definitely give this place 5 stars on the strength of the fishing. However I will have to check with Georgia DNR first as to see the rules and guidelines. I'll tell you this much, it looks more promising for fishing than some places I've already been to. I'm always on the hunt for some good fishing spots. read more
