Couple of minutes after the waitress took our order she comes back and asked if we were going to watch the fight because there was gonna be a $5 charge per head. She did tell us you don't have to hurry. Then she came back and asked us again if we were going to watch the fight, I said NO we are not going to watch the fight, mind you we had just gotten our food. So she comes back and asked us the same question if we were going to watch the fight. Then she goes and gets the some one to talk to my husband. I did not appreciate how the dat guy with a beard treated the situation. I think they should of told us there was going to be a fight and that they were going to charge. Friends and family have visited Twin Peaks Restaurant in El Paso, TX on numerous occasions. After discussing experiences that we've had, we noticed that every single one of us were overcharged for drinks we DID NOT consume! The waitress would wait and casually say "your friends that just left did not pay for 4 drinks" or they gave us a tab for drinks and food that we had already paid for at the bar while waiting for a table. the cherry on top was when we opened a tab with a credit card but closed it and paid with cash and they still charged our credit card!!! This is very bad practice and the waitresses need to be informed that consumers take notice and share their stories with other patrons. It was extremely disappointing when the manager was told and all he said was "well I have to believe my waitress if she said you haven't paid well you haven't paid" As I mentioned before, taking advantage of the patron is very bad practice and we will make sure not to visit that restaurant ever again. read more

I had resisted attending this fine eatery for quite some time, initially because it had lines going outside and wrapping around the building, then because I just wasn't in the area at the right moment. I finally went on Veterans' Day, and was very pleasantly surprised. Since I was in uniform (Navy, 1974-9; only my topcoat remains, and it is rapidly shrinking!), they were giving a fee meal to all past and present members. This is a meat & potatoes establishment, but I had become a vegetarian-pescetarian for my 57th and superb waitress Giona absolutely accommodated me by substituting extra greens along with my shrimp. The food is delicious, the staff are all very bubbly, helpful, courteous, and very respectful. It is immaculately clean and has the disadvantage of being part of the "Fountains" strip mall. This was pretty good. Ordered the chicken ranch sandwich. Chicken tasted fresh, cheese was melted and fries were fresh. We had a party of 6, server was very attentive. Drinks came out in a timely fashion, food came promptly and hot. We were pleased. We went around noon and I thought that it would be busier with a lunch rush but it wasn't very busy. The immediate parking lot is somewhat small but the overflow lot is more than adequate. Traffic getting onto Gateway can be dangerous as cars coming off I-10 are going quite fast so be careful. read more

First I just want to note that this place is NEW and is still trying to get the bugs worked out. We have been here a couple times and each time it has been a little bit better, but still a lot of work to be done. First time we went they had just recently opened and were not even offering service on the patio at all. They didn't even have seats out there yet. This meant everyone had to go inside to order a beer which was a nightmare. It took my husband almost 30 minutes standing at the bar to get 2 beers. The waitresses had 1 side of the bar where the taps were open and it was incredibly congested for the servers inside the bar itself. 2nd time there we actually wanted to eat with a group and the wait was outrageous (as expected, this place is new). They again would not be serving on the patio but they did finally have seating out there. As they were explaining to us that they wouldn't serve on the patio (it was "too cold" for the waitresses, give those girls a scarf and let them make some money!), they sat a few more couples outside and my husband was finally able to get the manager to seat us ( we had a very large group and explained that the waitresses would be well taken care of). I was really frustrated when I went inside to go to the restroom and there were 6 or so waitresses standing in the hostess area having a hula-hoop contest when I knew people (not just our group) were waiting to be served. Not to mention, it was so crowded in that area, it made it almost impossible for anyone to walk around. Those contests are awesome for slower times, but during the peak of busy time put the hoops down and make sure your tables are handled. The food was ok. My burger was SO overseasoned I could barely get through it. I will definitely give them another chance because I am seeing improvement each time we go. Victor, unknown last name, he refused to give it to me, presented himself as the general manager. He refused to honor my reservation from Open Table. When I asked why, he stated that they just don't honor reservations from online. I asked for his name, her refused to give it to me, when I asked why they were on Open Table if they refused reservations, he told me that they just don't accept reservations online. At this point another person approached named Ivan Tovar, he stated that he was the real manager. I asked why the other person had lied to me and told me he was the General Manager. He did not comment just apologized that he knew that there was problems with the online reservations and that they don't honor them. I asked why they hadn't called me an hour ago to let me know, why they just let me show up thinking I had a reservation and he said he didn't know. What kind of GM doesn't know what is going on in his location and allows his employees to lie to his customers about who they are. Great food. No, really it is great food. Steak was juicy and we got the peak platter. Oh my goodness, fried pickles was great. We tried fried pickles at another place and it was more batter than pickles lol. Anyways, food was good. Bar was quick. But I guess they have a quicker standard cause our waitress had informed the manager that our drinks had come a little late due to the bar so they took it off our tab and apologized. Wow. Yes, they have super cold beer. And they have a little display that lets you know how cold it is. But...it's expensive beer! Almost $7 a pint. The waitresses are nice, they seemed a little uncomfortable. And even though we went on a Saturday night, the place was not busy, but our poor waitress was super distracted and got my friend's order wrong twice. And then forgot to take the item off the ticket. Good thing we checked it. I think this place is really geared towards the guys. The waitresses' uniforms and the taxidermy all over. I had the smoke house burger which was great. I was only able to eat half of it. Right off the bat we got a shitty server. We asked for silverware and waited 20 min until we asked again. Generally you get napkins and silverware the moment you sit down. We ordered the double stack nachos, and those were pretty good so we expected the food to taste just as good. My husband got the Smash Burger. He didn't even attempt to eat the whole thing it was too bland. I got the ghost pepper wings. Those barely had any heat and the wings tasted like they were from a Tyson chicken wing frozen bag. Music was extremely loud. I felt like I had to yell just to get my point across. The server barely came to check on us during our time there. The atmosphere was lousy. Servers were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. And you could hear the expiditing manager yelling at everyone in the kitchen to get their plates right. You can easily tell when you are in El Paso, restaurants are way too over crowded & the waits are ridiculous. We didn't stay too long for that reason, I have a Twin Peaks in Scottsdale and the food and beer are great. I checked out Twin Peaks and loved my experience. The servers, Rihanna and Mary were super friendly and fun. I had the Avocado Smash burger with Asparagus and it was perfect! The Asparagus was the best I've had and the the burger was on point! I met cool patrons and overall a great experience. I plan on coming back!
