Good selection and better service. Came for the specialty items, stayed for the fun spice blends. Thanks for existing.

Holy freaking sausage heaven…read more They are at Eastern Market, Shed 2 on Saturdays and Westside Market in A^2 on Thursdays. Just an FYI. They finally have a website up and running and hopefully online ordering to expand their great business soon. I love that they give out samples in person though so I will probably stick to face to face transactions myself. The Vietnamese chicken is awesome as are the juniper and garlic brats and the green curry and pork. All these have been mentioned by prior reviewers so I will just +1 them. I have to say I love this place for branching out in the realm of sausage delights. I am a devotee of Hot Doug and these, while not reaching that height yet, are indeed on the path to gustatory greatness. These guys will rock your narrow little world with the majesty of some adventurous charcuterie local style at least. I will add the angus beef and chimichurri worked for me as did their spicy Italians and merguez. They seem to have a real nice feel for spice, I will agree with Mary if you are not into heat a lot of these varietals will not do it for you. If you like a bit of zip though, these babies will make your palate do a little happy dance. The wallet? Ummm not as much. I can't wait for them to have some salumi for purchase.

As soon as you opened the container, you could smell the fresh baked sweetness. I really appreciate the care they put into their food. Always on time, excellent customer service, great homemade food.

I normally do not like breakfast burritos since I find them really dry, but the eggs were moist and tender and ditto for the tortilla. I had the sausage, and it was diced and mixed in with the other ingredients, but it was more of a processed sausage (maybe chicken?) with a bouncy texture. Western Potatoes: This dish has diced red skin potatoes with thinly shredded cooked red onions and bell peppers. It has a coating of spice on it which made the ketchup unnecessary as it was already so flavorful. The inside was fluffy, but the outside had no crisp and was slightly oily. I know part of it was due to the fact that it was delivered, but I wasn't a fan still.  Veg Life Quiche: This was a good quiche. The egg were tender with the addition of buttermilk, and it was teeming with spinach, tomato, onion and topped with cheddar cheese. The crust was a standard crust.  This is a solid option for catering if you want to have a more unique place than the standard chain restaurants. I liked how everything was almost all pre portioned out too.

Even so, employees often go out of their way to offer my dog scraps and bones when we are passing by (shoutout to Mo, especially). I also love that they're so sanitary and keep their part of our block clean, which isn't always true of local businesses! We appreciate them so much and are happy to see that they get so much business. They seem very customer-focused, always chatting and happily transporting to their customer's cars.

Having found Berry & Sons Islamic Slaughter House on Goggle I took a trip to Eastern Market in Detroit, MI. This is not a store. when you go there you need to know what to ask for. I went in the front door and there was a sign that said "Go through the steel door to purchase meat" There were two doors so naturally I picked the wrong one, for reference the one you want is the large steel door to you left when you enter the building. So I went through the wrong door and didn't see any meat, then saw a cold room with the lights on and went over to the door and it was a cold room with many, many lambs and sheep hanging from hooks. A man saw me and walked over and ask If he could help me I ask If i was in the wrong place and was told yes. Ask me what I was looking for and I told him I wanted to get a saddle of lamb. I was led to the other end of the room where the men were breaking down carcasses. We had some difficulty communicating over the differences in Languages. But we were standing by the bench where the man was cutting the saddles out. So I just pointed and said I would like one of these, In like five minutes it was bagged up, paid for and I was on my way. Get I home and cooked it a day or too later and it was the best lamb I've since I was a little kid, It was just wonderful. Very nice people to do business with. I will be going back in a couple of weeks to get a shoulder for Shepard's Pie.
