The staff's attitude immediately gave me the impression that customer service was not a priority. When I politely asked for some hair product and to wash my hands, I was met with an attitude that made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. The haircut itself was even more disappointing. The barber seemed determined to rush through the appointment, attempting to finish my haircut in about 10 minutes. I had to stop him because I wasn't happy with the result and asked him to fix it. Throughout the entire appointment, he made no effort to engage in even basic conversation. I tried several times to be friendly, ask questions, and make the experience enjoyable, but received almost nothing in return. I paid $70 for a haircut and beard service, and I genuinely feel like I wasted my money. The beard trim, which cost $30, lasted no more than two minutes and looked like almost no work had been done. The entire appointment felt rushed, careless, and completely lacking in attention to detail. I don't mind paying premium prices when the quality, professionalism, and customer experience justify it. Unfortunately, none of those were present here. Instead, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and regretting my decision to give this place a chance. With how difficult the economy is today, customers deserve businesses that appreciate their support and take pride in their work. Based on my experience, this barbershop fell far short of that standard. I cannot recommend this shop to anyone, and I will not be returning. If I could, I would give them a negative score from how bad the whole situation was. PLEASE, do no go here EVER EVER.

I tried everything to talk him down and get him to come around to the idea. James was amazing, trying to get him excited but it just wasn't in the cards for us last night. James asked when I drop him off at school and offered to come in at 7am, THREE HOURS before they open to get my sons hair fixed up. We didn't need to be there till a bit later so 8am was totally doable for us and he insisted we come at 8am. Fast forward to the next morning (today). We got there at 8am and James was ready for us. My son was in a much better place and was happy to be there, but still a bit nervous. James was SO patient, kind, and even a little silly to get my son comfortable. He showed my son everything he was going to do, let him pick the comb color, the water bottle, etc to allow my son to feel like he was a part of the experience. James gave me some pomade and explained to me how to use it best to get my sons double cowlicks to sit down properly. And then.... He REFUSED to let me pay him for the hair cut OR the pomade. I practically begged to let me pay and he refused. He said he was happy to get my sons hair fixed up and give him a positive experience so he's excited to come back. Hair cuts have always been a touchy thing for my son, so thank you so much James and ALL the barbers there on Thursday evening who tried to help my son through the nerves. My Husband Always get a great cut here no matter who he uses at the Twins Barber Shop but he does not use review like I do.. but since I love the way he looks when he leaves "So Sharp" I wanted to share our experience with yelp. There are Hair Salons and Barber Shops everywhere we have many options where to go . About the place they have 5 barbers there, you just walk in no appt within 10-15m one of the barber gets down to business. Clean modern comfortable the way you would expect to see in a barber shop but the best in Moon Valley Area. Pretty much the men of Moon valley go there. I wanted to mention my husband started growing a beard. I'm very happy when my got his new beard tamed a little (it was looking good, but shaggy!!!) The barber here did a FANTASTIC job. I moved here from Philly almost 3 years ago and was lucky to move into an apartment right down the street from Twins Barbershop. Prior to moving out here I had the same barber for 27 years. Radi and his crew of beautiful and very kind girls made the transition smooth and easy. I like to get my hair cut every 2 weeks and get a low bald fade, and trust me when I say Radi has skills with the clippers. The barbershop is clean, Radi has the shop hooked up nice, the staff is professional, and most importantly THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! If your a little low on swagger, get a straight razor shave from one of the girls and you will walk out of the shop feeling like the King. Not too long after moving to North Phoenix I had to relocate to the Southeast side of town. I still make the drive to Twins for my cut (about 70mins round trip) because Radi and the crew play no games!! Best barbershop in the valley, hands down. read more

What can I say about Twins! The haircuts are dope. But the people are even better. I believe that the barber shop is the most beautiful and diverse place in this country. Twins exemplifies humanity. Great hair cuts by amazing people. Stories are told and life is shared together. Humanity needs more fades at Twins! I've been going to Twins for over a year now and have had cuts and beard trims by almost everyone however Vicki is my fave! She always has a great story to tell and makes me feel like we've been friends for years. I live in Peoria and I still go to twins for my cut. I now take my two sons 13 and 11 so they can have the flyest look in school. I used to take them to the chain places to save money but you get what you pay for. I have been going to Twins Barber Shop for over ten years now. I wouldn't go anywhere else and I wouldn't trust anybody else to cut my hair. On a few occasions due to life and being in a rush I have opted for other hair places which on more than one occasion I truly regret. Nobody matches the quality and professionalism of Twins Barber Shop at 19th Avenue and Greenway here in Phoenix, Arizona. Radi is amazing and Regina is awesome too. I to have been going to the Twins Barber Shop for quite some time. I started when they were still at Thunderbird and 19th Avenue. My son goes there and now my grandson. You have to stick with your barber, after a while he gets to know your likes and dislikes. I not sure what you call my hair cut but Eddie just asks if I'm going summer or fall. Summer is short fall is a little longer. Cutting hair is not an easy occupation and there is a lot of turn over. Once you have been going to your barber you can see who works out and who moves on. Whenever, I'm in town I go see Eddie over at Twins Barber Shop. Although many of the other barbers/hair stylist appear to be good. I only see Eddie, because he gets it right and tight. Since moving from the old location on 19th Avenue and W. Thunderbird to the new location at 35th Avenue and W. Thunderbird, I feel much more comfortable. And they must have spent a ton on the decor and overall environment . Eddie keeps his prices low and provides the best value around. Been coming here a while now. Honestly the best military fades ever. I went there first and met anahy. She has stayed my barber since. She is personable, will talk, and is considerate of time. But will still give u the best. My wife came with me last time to see how it is done. Wife said over 13 tips for the shaver, and complete respect. I've been going here for about five or six years now and I won't go anywhere else. The whole line up of barbers does a great job and I never worry about a bad hair cut. When you walk in you're always greeted at the door and their is always something interesting on the TV while your waiting your turn to get cut. The place is full of regulars that keep coming back and it feels like more like going to a friend rather than a "barbershop". I've been getting my haircut here for 15 years plus. I went to the old location on 19th ave and thunderbird for 7 years than when Eddie told me he was moving it just got better. Now it's closer to my house and more convenient, but even if they moved to Mesa I would make the trip....they are that good!!! The Staff is always very friendly and professional and in the event your Barber is off that day or busy every single employee there does a GREAT JOB!! I love going there to get cut, I never have to wait long, and they are so quick yet thorough. I was going to another shop by Metro and it is cheaper but they had made small mistakes twice since I've gone and then I discovered Twins, and tried it out and since then I have not had one issue with a cut nor have I had to wait a long time. and the Barbers are nice and friendly. When I arrived there was only one person waiting in the lobby, so I assumed it would be a quick wait. Instead, I sat there while a stylist finished with a client and walked out without acknowledging anyone in the lobby. The other person who had been waiting was taken back next, which made sense. But then another customer walked in and was taken immediately by a different stylist. Maybe he had an appointment, but it would have been helpful to know that before I drove down after being told to just come in. Then a pest control company came inside and started spraying behind the chairs and around the shop. The smell was strong and unpleasant. At that point I decided to leave before even getting my haircut. I drove to Floyd's across the street to since it didn't smell like pesticides and got my haircut there instead. Overall it just felt disorganized and not very welcoming, wont be back.

Austin took care of my husband beard it was needing some attention and as a wife I appreciated the attention to detail to the beard because there have been times where the husband comes home and the beard needs to be grown out again because it just doesn't look right. Thank you Austin for taking care of the husband and highly appreciate James for putting out good vibes and taking your time with my son he was also very happy with how handsome he looked with his fresh cut.
