Great soul food. I've tried several items off of their menu and every thing tastes like my grandma…read morecooked it herself. lol Definitely worth stopping by for a plate or two.

I visited this spot on Easter and overall I had a really great experience. Yes, the wait was long,…read morebut honestly I expected that because of the holiday. If anything, I took it as a good sign. I noticed people weren't leaving or giving up on the line, they were staying and waiting, and to me that says the food must be good. Now let's get into the food... because this is where they really shine. I've had a lot of soul food around Atlanta, and I can honestly say flavor can be hit or miss depending on the place. But whoever is in that kitchen here, they are doing their thing. Everything tasted very homemade, like real deal, cooked with love type of food. The cornbread gave very much old school, just right. The peach cobbler? Absolutely outstanding. It's actually rare to find a restaurant peach cobbler that truly tastes homemade, and this one definitely did. That alone would make me come back. We ordered the beef meatloaf, mac and cheese, collard greens, lima beans, and dressing. The dressing was especially good, again very homemade and full of flavor. The only small thing I would mention is there wasn't any gravy on the dressing, and I would've loved that. The meatloaf was good, but could've used a bit more sauce since it was just a pinch overcooked. Outside of that, everything was really good. The food was flavorful, the portions were solid, and the prices were very affordable. Overall, I'd definitely rate this place highly. I truly enjoyed it and will be coming back. I'll also be recommending it to my family and friends for sure.

I can't lie. I was extremely disappointed in my visit to Steve's BBQ…read more Now let me start by saying, I am a BBQ snob. I take BBQ seriously. So when I walked in and found out they did not have ribs, I almost needed a moment of silence. WHAT?! Yes, you read that right. A BBQ place with no ribs. According to the cashier, Steve's didn't have ribs that day. I let it slide because, at the time, they had only been open for a couple of weeks. I believe in giving new businesses grace, especially when they are still getting their rhythm together. They did have a nice little crowd seated inside, which was good to see. I wanted to support them. However, while the doors were open, the place did not feel fully ready from an ambiance standpoint. There was junk behind what looked like the soon to be bar area. Boxes and clutter were visible, and honestly, that takes away from the experience. It is hard to focus on the food when your eyes are trying to figure out if you are in a restaurant or the back room at a storage unit. They did have booths available for customers to sit and enjoy their food, so that was a plus. Since there were no ribs, I ordered a steak hoagie sandwich and asked for extra cheese. Well, the young lady forgot to put my order in, so I ended up waiting over 25 minutes for this hoagie. By the time I got it, I was ready to take a picture, sit in my car, and have my little food review moment. But NOPE. That could not happen because the sandwich was absolutely slathered in "special sauce." It was giving sauce with a side of sandwich. And after all that, there was no extra cheese, which was specifically what I asked for. I was disappointed for three main reasons: no ribs, the order was forgotten, and the sandwich was soggy. I did not even get pictures because I refused to touch my phone and risk turning it into a saucy crime scene. I will not order that sandwich again. One day, I may give Steve's another try because I would still like to actually try the ribs. You know, the BBQ item I expected a BBQ restaurant to have. Ok, that is all. Bye!

COME HUNGRY! We have passed by so many times and it just wasn't a time to eat and it smelled so…read moregood and you could hear the music blaring. The portions are real man sized so be prepared. At first I thought the prices were a little high but then I saw what all we got and it was well worth what they charge. We actually were confused at first by the Vegan trailer outside. I assumed they cooked in the house and sold out of the food trailer but that is a whole separate business, when I asked for meat they said "over there." We went inside the house and we were greeted by 2 nice beautiful ladies that explained all our questions, as it was our first trip in, and we put our order in. There is a good bit of room inside if you want to dine in but we were on the road so Togo it was. We ordered the 2 ribs lunch, a half rack which was 6 bones and the pork sandwich. I got the hot bbq on the half rack and it was actually medium in hotness just fyi. I'm not a huge fan of beef ribs because most people can't get them tender enough but TOH did the deed and they were fairly tender. We will be back again to try other options.

Being from Texas I'm a barbecue snob. I Grabbed one of my best friends and he and I took the ride to McDonough Georgia to check out this small little house with a rusty BBQ Pit in the back to taste the barbecue. When we pulled up music was playing and I enjoy music when I'm eating. Initially the way the location looked I wasn't sure if they had a place for us to sit cuz this was my first time. I will admit I was nervous for the experience but the young lady at the counter was Pleasant enough even though the first two things I asked for they were already sold out of and to be honest they were had only been open for a couple hours at the time. So I ordered a half a pound of rib tips and 2 rib bones some yellow rice and potato salad. My friend got a pound of the rib tips green beans and potato salad. We sat down and started talking and before we could really get in a conversation the food was ready. that was a huge plus. Instead of driving the 45 minutes back home to eat we decided to sit in the restaurant and enjoy the food hot. First bite I was like oh yeah it's official. They had a honey mustard barbecue sauce mix they give you with the rib tips it was okay but again I'm from Texas just give me straight barbecue sauce on the side because I need to taste the meat first and make sure it's legit. The meat was delicious with no sauce that's the true test of barbecue so it was 10 out of 10 for the barbecue. The potato salad taste like it was Resers Fine Foods store-bought potato salad and I was cool with it because I actually like that particular potato salad and I use it when I don't want to make it myself. The yellow rice was the other side I chose and it was a little underwhelming a little crunchy so it was dried out a bit which was kind of disappointing but it didn't ruin the experience overall. The portion size was good enough for me to actually bring some home and stop somewhere else and get sides and make another meal out of it so that was a plus. So go and check out a Taste of Heaven's Rib Shack. I regret I didn't take pictures to post for y'all but take my word the barbecue is the main event, stay for the main event. The sides are the undercard. I'll go back for the main event.
