Great coffee spot right on Merle Hay Rd. Walking in you feel the merge of woods and metals with an industrial feel. Very spacious cafe. Coffee tastes great. Smooth. I ordered a latte with oat milk. Good amount of flavor and foam on top. Total came to $6.xx for a 16 oz There are food options like scones, quiches, and breakfast sandwiches. For plant based they offer açai bowls and granola without yogurt. Menu is simple. Easy to read and order. I like the seating options here. There are booths, couches, tables and high top seating. A meeting room to reserve towards the front of the cafe. I like the feeling of comfy and productive while I'm here. Overall I enjoy coming here for coffee meets. I recommend visiting Twisted Bean!

Located on Merle Hay Rd. What a cool place to get coffee. Interior is nice and modern. Lots of seating in front and back. It is a good place to gather or have a meeting. I got an iced coffee with almond flavoring. Strong iced coffee taste. If I am back in the area I will definitely come here again or check out their drive thru location on the south side.

    Nitrous cold brew! Yum

My first time here! It's been here forever and I never had gotten the chance to swing by. I hit the drive through a little after 6 am Friday morning. No wait! The nice gentleman asked how he could help. I asked if they did cold brew. He was happy to offer not only the regular cold brew but the nitrous cold brew! He was kind and quick with any questions. If I hadn't been headed to work I would have happily gone in and enjoyed what looked like a really relaxed interior. I'll be back. :)

Adorable place! Spacious and set up for social distancing, very clean, bright and welcoming! Love the plants and all the breakfast sandwiches and trays offered on the menu and in the display case! The breve drink was delicious and the staff is friendly and extremely efficient! I wish there were one of these on every corner!

My son brought me to Twisted Bean for coffee once. Forgot what we had, but remember it was good. More recently, I was in town with my sister & stopped in again. Got Jitterbug frappe -- oh, wow! Delicious!! I'm in town again this weekend. Hoping to grab another Jitterbug as we leave in the morning!

    Large latte, supposedly

It's got that old-school, decoupaged diner vibe--definitely a little worn around the edges, but that's part of the charm. The staff was great--loud, friendly, and clearly tight with the regulars, which actually made us feel more at home. Our waitress was super helpful and made some solid recommendations. We sat near the kitchen window and got to watch a parade of delicious-looking plates come out. Food-wise: prices were fair if not a touch expensive, portions were generous, and most of it hit the mark. Pancakes were huge (seriously--massive), but ours were a touch underdone. Everything else was on point, though, and we'd absolutely come back and try more menu options. The have daily specials; Weiner Wednesday looks interesting...

The crispy hashbrowns paired so well with the mixins. Definitely go for the everything hash browns with the over easy eggs. I'd say a must for a first timer. Also nothing was overly greasy. You felt good leaving. 10/10! Will be back

This place is right on the corner, well maintained and has good signage. It lacks on curb appeal, but we came for the food, drinks and atmosphere. Upon entering we were greeted by big crowds and a very busy place. We lucked out and were able to sit right down (at the bar of course). The place is dated, and slightly divey but it has a lot of seating and the staff all seemed to be busy making it happen! There is a lot of table seating both high top and standard table and chairs. In addition to about 20 seats at the bar. Plenty of televisions with all types of content playing. Although it was busy we soon had 2 bartenders offering us drinks and menus. Shortly after we were drinking our beers and ordered some hamburgers. Kim opted for the regular hamburger with cheese and a side of fries. I ordered the jalapeño blue cheese burger. It was loaded with plenty of blue cheese crumbles and the jalapeños were a nice touch. I will say they were both solid choices. They make it clear that the $12-15 sandwiches do not come with sides unless you order the baskets. So sides are all in addition to the prices on the burgers. So it makes it a bit more expensive and for me $20 for a burger and fries is on the high side for anywhere in or around the metro. The service was good and as the crowd began to die down we ordered a second round. Though I feel the prices for stand alone sandwiches are high, at least the ones we had and the ones we saw delivered to other tables were pretty generous in size and the ingredients seemed fresh. All in all a pretty decent experience. If you are looking for a well made sandwich, in Grimes this seems like a good place to find it.

We snagged a spot near the back. The waiter was quick to take our drink requests. He came back soon and I asked his recommendations. He sold me on a omelet and my girlfriend got french toast My girlfriend sold me on the Taps potatoes. I haven't had potatoes like that. Almost cut like potatoes chip but then fluffy and fried. Not over crunchy and not to heavy. The make to order omelet was good to. For some reason they left the bacon out but I just tossed it on top with the avacado I was craving. The TVs were on but not to loud yet. There was some football playing later in the afternoon but it wasn't game time yet Music played as we sat and chatted. The food was good. My friend really liked her French toast and black tea. I'm glad I made it out for breakfast. The staff was friendly the whole time. Completely affordable breakfast for us two ladies. I think I want to come back and do this again.

The host worked to get everyone seated as quickly as he could. A server was at the table almost immediately for our drink order, and they were served in no time. There is quite a selection of breakfast and lunch items to choose from, and I settled on The Classic. I really liked the option for a small cake instead of toast, and I enjoyed that tremendously! The ham steak was thick, juicy, and flavorful, and the eggs were scrambled perfectly. The hash browns were a little bland, and I would rather have had an option for breakfast potatoes instead. But the meal was good and reasonably priced for the portions. For those who like coffee, there is a wide selection of options. The place is cozy inside with warm colors and all of the workers were extremely friendly in their interactions with customer. I felt very welcome and the table was well taken care of throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is nestled in a strip mall off the main street, so it isn't something I would know was there if I were just driving by. But now that I know it is here, I will definitely make a return trip to try additional items on the menu that caught my attention (I'm looking at you apple and blueberry bread, cinnamon rolls, and crake!)
