As a woman raised in Chicago, I KNOW a great gyro. Honestly, this one is twisted in the most fabulous ways! Gyro included the highest quality (and variety) of ingredients -- prepared and presented in a "tasteful" and beyond delicious way. I'm typically a "purest" with Chicago's gryo being the standard. Shockingly, for me to admit, these gyros are simply amazing. Each bite is savory, tangy, crunchy, refreshing, filled with textures and hitting notes I wasn't expecting. I am swooning! Sadly, we live NE and don't get to the far west side of town often. However we ARE planning a return trip soon. I want to mention they offer bulgogi (which my husband loved) and options Sharma, too. Rather than a sandwich, any meat can be ordered as a salad or rice bowl. Seated patrons were eating ALL of the menu options. Fries are crispy and can be topped with any combination--or LOADED with all of it. Many canned and bottled beverages (and Coke a Cola on tap) are available: cider and sofa (pop for us Midwesterners). The staff was super helpful and retrieved every beverage from the frig for the patrons, delivered meals and provided extra napkins spontaneously. Thus is an amazing place for lunch or dinner. The shop is small but has adequate tables which handled the lunch crowd well. They close for couple hours at 1430-smart business sense. Naturally carry out is available. Weelllll the dinner bell rang and this is where we ended up. It's a very nice place,clean and friendly. The food was priced right and a clean bathroom . I ordered the loaded fries with bulgogi it looked delicious and the fries were very crispy all the way through. Tstars for me because within 5min of finishing my dinner I was hit hard with bloating and a very dry mouth. The plate was extremely salty but camouflaged with the sauce that covered it x also the Cheetos and takis didn't help . I should have stopped eating but was very hungry after a good trip to the gym. My son really wanted to try Twisted Gyros out because he heard great things about this place. He asked if I thought I could find vegan items here, and I said I'm sure I could. I'm glad the restaurant understood vegan. I ended up getting a bowl with falafel, saffron rice and salad fixings. The only vegan sauce available was hummus and hot sauce. The other sauces had mayo or honey in them. I wish they did a lemon tahini dressing, which is my favorite. I can't remember what my son and his step daughter ordered, but they thoroughly enjoyed it! While eating my meal, one of the owners came out with a sauce made vegan just for me! That was so sweet of her! That just made my experience stand out. At first, for me, Twisted Gyros was a 4 star experience. I asked my son and his step daughter what rating they would give, and they both agreed 5 stars. He was super upbeat, helpful, and even brought our food out to us. After we finished eating, he offered to clear our table, which was such a nice gesture you don't always get at casual places. We ordered them following for two- Whipped Feta: this was the highlight! It was creamy, both savory From the chives and zatar and sweet from the honey, and had a nice crunch from the pistachios. The pita was also nicely toasted. Chicken Shawarma Gyro: juicy, seasoned well and flavorful. The portion was huge and could be 2 small meals. I asked to have mine without pickles and they put in that modification. The Greek Gyro with fries added inside: when it came out, they had stuffed the fries inside the gyro and put the extra fries on the side. Everything was wrapped up with all the toppings and sauces. Very filling and it did get a bit of a messy. There's a parking lot out front, which makes getting in and out easy and they also have a bathroom inside for customers. We did come close to closing time and I think they ran out of chicken shawarma after my order since we overheard other folks trying to order. So good to know if you need to plan ahead. read more

This was my second time coming here for lunch and tried something new. The parking lot can get full fast since it shares with lots of other businesses in the same complex but the place is easy to find. It's small but brightly lit with awesome graphics and pictures for their menu. They actually have quite a few tables in this space but it does fill up fast during busy lunch times. You can choose from gyros, rice bowls, salad bowls, twisted fried and sides and desserts. They also serve alcoholic beverages too. The owner was working the register and he is always so friendly and came around the tables later to check in as well. The kitchen was working hard keeping up with dining in and online orders. This time we ordered lamb rice bowl and my friend ordered the mango habanero chicken twisted fries. I mean the fun presentation of the food is the first thing you notice when you get your food. Fresh veggies, pickled onions and banana peppers, and lots of side sauces. The Cheetos are always a fun touch for a splash of color and a texture and flavor addition. Although this time the cheese puffs were a little stale but that mango habanero chicken was so flavorful with just a little kick! The fries were the star of the show actually - extra crispy and a great vessel for all the yummy toppings. I did think my lamb was a little dry but it was a good portion for everything to be between $13-16. I was so excited to try this place because their bowls looked so good and full of fresh ingredients. I got the lamb gyro bowl and while it was good, after a while everything felt so dry. I felt like the bowl really needed some sort of sauce or hummus. From pictures it looks like it comes with sauce but there was sauce with my side of falafel that I wasn't sure if it was for my meal or for the falafel... the sauce was some sort of mayo/honey mustard sauce, a sweet pink sauce, and Tabasco??? I'm confused why Tabasco was a sauce of their choice. Their sweet pink sauce was good though but they only gave a tiny portion of it. I thought my bowl comes with a pita bread as well and either it doesn't or they forgot about it. My husband got the fries which was very interesting because it was topped with hot Cheetos and takis. Then you choose from lamb, beef, chicken or falafel. Falafel is the only option for vegetarians like me but their falafels are so good that even meat eaters will enjoy them. I was so excited to try this place after noticing it on a previous trip to the shopping center that it's located in. Aesthetics are key for me, and I immediately noticed the branding and modern design of the interior, as well as the many people sitting inside enjoying their food. So I couldn't wait to come back and experience it for myself. My husband and I returned on a Friday evening, about 45 minutes before closing. Upon entering we were greeted so kindly and because it was our first time, we asked what the house favorites were and then made our decision. We ordered the lamb gyro, beef bulgogi gyro, the pita & hummus and a side of fries, along with squirt in a glass bottle which is my absolute fave. They have so many drink options including beer & cider which I look forward to getting in the future. Nearly every table was filled with happy diners. Was greeted warmly by the owner, Jason. Decided on a veggie falafel gyros and Topo Chico. Jason grabbed my bottled drink and opened it for me. I waited maybe five minutes? Jason's wife (I'm sorry, I didn't get her name, a sweetheart! checked on me , told me my order was nearly done, and offered me a seat at their waiting table. So accommodating! Amazing considering the constant stream of customers. Despite the animated crowd, it was not at all loud. The place is spic and span and cheerful inside! I waited across from the colorful drink case. There were 6-7 beers on tap, others in the case, kombucha, San Pellegrinos, various waters, Red Bull and fountain drinks. FUN! Clearly the owners are wanting to please everyone who walks in the door! My gyros was full of fresh veggies, at least 5 falafels (full disclosure: I only had the 3 extra ones spilling out and three bites and got full!) There may be more! First bite had a nice tender bite of cauliflower, feta, yummers tahini sauce, cucumbers, lettuce, pickled red onion and fresh pita. Another bite in revealed a nice sweet potato cube too. Can't wait to discover what other gems will appear. The three extra sauces didn't add anything to the experience but nice of them to provide options! We finally had a chance to try this place out and glad that we did. The place is located in a strip mall in Hillsboro. The interior is not too big but has enough spots for dine in options. We ordered the Lamb rice bowl, mango habenero chicken Gyro, and loaded fries with bulgogi beef. The lamb rice bowl was really good and had sides of dipping sauces. The mango habenero Gyro was my favorite as it was full of flavor. The spice level was just right and not too spicy. The loaded fries were full of toppings and fun to enjoy but can be a little messy. My husband and I ate here for the first time today and it was so much more than we could have asked for. The restaurant itself is unbelievably clean, and they have so many options on their menu that absolutely anyone could eat here. My husband believes that he has had the best french fries in his life here. And they really were phenomenal! I had the bulgogi beef gyro which was unbelievable. I could not get over how fresh and crisp all of the vegetables were. The meat itself was so tender and seasoned to absolute perfection. My husband ordered the Greek lamb gyro and he felt it was phenomenal. I tried a piece of the lamb meat and I have to agree. I'm used to gyros with shaved meat in them, but these were thick cut pieces of lamb and just absolutely worked beautifully with all the different flavors within the pita. I do not typically like falafel, however my husband ordered some and I took a bite. I have never had falafel that good before. The seasonings were absolutely on point, with no one flavor overpowering the other. And last but certainly not least, the staff. We had multiple interactions with different employees today and every single one of them were absolutely delightful.
