The food always tastes fresh here. The garlic sauce elevates any of their dishes. Best baklava in town. Friendliest people which makes you keep coming back. One of the best food truck experiences I've had.

The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Even though it was the lunch hour my lamb gyro came out within 5 minutes. I can't recommend this place enough. It was fantastic! Gyro included the highest quality (and variety) of ingredients -- prepared and presented in a "tasteful" and beyond delicious way. I'm typically a "purest" with Chicago's gryo being the standard. Shockingly, for me to admit, these gyros are simply amazing. Each bite is savory, tangy, crunchy, refreshing, filled with textures and hitting notes I wasn't expecting. I am swooning! Sadly, we live NE and don't get to the far west side of town often. However we ARE planning a return trip soon. I want to mention they offer bulgogi (which my husband loved) and options Sharma, too. Rather than a sandwich, any meat can be ordered as a salad or rice bowl. Seated patrons were eating ALL of the menu options. Fries are crispy and can be topped with any combination--or LOADED with all of it. Many canned and bottled beverages (and Coke a Cola on tap) are available: cider and sofa (pop for us Midwesterners). The staff was super helpful and retrieved every beverage from the frig for the patrons, delivered meals and provided extra napkins spontaneously. Thus is an amazing place for lunch or dinner. The shop is small but has adequate tables which handled the lunch crowd well. They close for couple hours at 1430-smart business sense. Naturally carry out is available. We'll be back in a few weeks!

The young lady at the counter gave possibly the worst service I have experienced in a long time. She gave no acknowledgment, no recommendation, seemed bothered that we were there, no response when we said thank you multiple times. ZERO ENGAGEMENT! The place is also dirty and appears unkept. The outside seating area has trash and debris from the previous day...we were there right after open... needs to be swept. Doesn't appear like it has been pressure washed in a while either. Planters are smeared with dirt, concrete stained with food buildup and tables need a bath. The inside is just as bad, which starts at the front door. Front glass looks awful...smears, dirt, grime, and streaks galore. There are also signs peeling and tape residue left from signage that used to be present. Soda machine and bathrooms were also beneath expectations. You can't have a "thank you for supporting small business" sign if you aren't doing your part. I would love to support you in the future, BUT service and cleanliness must improve.

Usually, chicken breast is somewhat unexciting, but it's delightfully moist and popping with flavor here. And of course, the barberry saffron rice is an experience not to be missed. Owner is pleasant and obviously cares about his business. No healthcare fee or automatic 20%+ BS which is trending in Portland. The new location looked like they were still on the middle of renovating but we were still able to dine in. Parking was easy as well. I came in on a Saturday evening at 6:30pm and was shocked to find they were sold out of tahdig, which was the one thing I was looking forward to. I found it odd that they didn't prepare extra for a weekend dinner but that's okay. Our party loved the lamb shanks and kebabs! The lamb shank was so tender and not gamey at all. And the kebabs was one the best kebabs I've had! There weren't too many customers when we came so hopefully it'll ramp up more once they are more settled into their new place.

I'm giving a fourth star because the guy at the counter is always welcoming. The place is located within a busy Fred Meyer shopping area. So parking can be a bit busy, especially during lunch hours. There's Pho Tango restaurant, a nail salon, and a UPS store all sharing the lot. Inside dining is simple. Mostly tables for two or four. Clean table tops with the times I've dined-in. So no issues with service or dining. Regarding the gyros, they've got lots to choose from on the menu (and up on the menu board). I've tried their Lamb Gyro and Chicken Gyro for $11.99, as well as their Combo Gyro with chicken and beef for $13.99. I do love the fact that the pita bread is nice and warm, and the toppings were flavorful. But I feel the gyro slices are a bit small, not your typical long juicy strips. More like slivered shawarma cuts. I've also tried the Double Meat over Rice ($16.99) which consists of the chicken and lamb cuts, hummus, tzatziki, a little bit of lettuce, tomatoes, all on top of rice, with that warm pita bread included. Honestly, I thought this plate would blow me away, but it didn't. I mean their sauces were good, but I feel it needed a spicy kick to it.. Overall, Monte Gyro is a great little spot for lunch. Plenty of items to choose from on the menu and at reasonable prices. Dining is typical and service is exceptional. I'll likely be back in support of this local mom'n'pop shop.
