We have dined here a few times. The dining room is large with plenty of seating, however while there on a hot summer day, they did not have their AC on which made the restaurant very stuffy and uncomfortable to sit in. The food here is fantastic - I get the Gyro or Shawarma every time I go and it never disappoints. I will say that the guy who usually works the counter is nice enough until you tell him you don't want any baklava - because at that point, it almost turns unfriendly. All-in-all, I would recommend - maybe not on the hottest day of the summer. read more

This place is our go-to gyro spot for sure! We have only dined in once a long time ago and now we mostly order through their website for take out. It's a fast and efficient process. The parking lot can be busy to navigate through with other businesses in this complex but there are spots right at the door if you're just doing a quick pick up. Service has always been friendly and they have a very strict pick up procedure for verification at the pick up order counter - mostly for delivery services but it can get intense during peak meal times. But it looks like they might now have a window dedicated to those services. The restaurant is open and spacious with an open kitchen. The walls are filled with colorful murals and cultural decor and had tables for different group sizes. Our favorite is the Lamb Gyro and they PILE ON the meat! Also we love the round crinkle cut Greek fries (it's usually not super crispy for take out so we just heat it back in the air fryer) but we always get the spicy garlic sauce and the feta cheese toppings. I tried the Baba Ghanouj this time but it was too acidic for me...but the pita bread that came with it was nice and fluffy though. Go here if you are in the area - they offer a HUGE amount of meat in their gyros (like 1.5 or 2x a normal gyro) with a delicious spicy garlic sauce. 2100+ reviews here compared to like 150 at other gyro places was what stood out to me first. We came back here and this was the only spot we ate at twice while in the Portland area. I got the Lamb Shawarma Plate and it was good but I think the half and half gyro was better. The Hummus is a little tahini forward, which is good but not my favorite. I prefer the tahini to be more hidden. Gyro was delicious and especially with the spicy garlic sauce. We were directed to a table instead of being able to order from the front. Then they added a 30% gratuity to the bill without our knowledge and asked for more. All the prices were blacked out and we had no idea. They brought us food we didn't order and then charged us for it. And when we argued about it they got rude and pushy. I would give it 4.5! It was my first time dining in, as I usually order take out. Environment: It was beautifully decorated with a lot of middle eastern rugs hung on the ceilings. Staff: very friendly, kind, and helpful. They even allowed us to store and eat my cake at their restaurant for free. That was very generous and nice of them. Food: 1. Hummus with bread. The bread was actually very airy that it puffed up until it was time to rip them apart. It was nice and thin, not like gyro. The hummus was nice and a little more subtle than other places but it's still one of my favorites! 2. I got a lamb shawarma and there were lots of slices of beef. The rice was cooked lively and they also had a hearty amount of salad, too with a nice yogurt dressing. It was a very good portion that I was able to have a second meal of it! The slight point reduction was that the slices of lamb were on the saltier side. 3. Lamb shank: it was on top of a bed of rice again and the meat was extremely tender. It was delicious and flavorful. The meat was not salty. Again, another great portion of salad. Again, they were very kind, helpful, friendly and the food overall was good. Even though it was a bit salty, eating it with rice and salad would help but sometimes one piece or part was extra salty. *Keep in mind, the prices on the menu are different than the current prices. They have stickers everywhere saying the prices on some dishes went up but they didn't specify which ones. So, all the foods we ordered were $2-3 more than what's written on the menu. OMG! What a wonderful, surprising GEM we found in this unpretentious, but thoroughly authentic family-run restaurant! Cannot stop gushing about this place. I've never been to Greece before so I may be a little naive. But the food is wonderful, servings are generous and the staff is friendly. We had the lamb and beef gyros (of course) and literally could not finish it. So much unctuous lamb and beef! Same for the shwarma plate with Greek salad - FRESH cucumbers, onions and onions. Perfectly seasoned! We were in town for a graduation so we only had limited time - but we found enough time to go back again. DO NOT miss the fresh hummus - smooth and perfectly seasoned 0and don't forget to order extra pita. Yes, yes ys, the baklava was AWESOME but the manager Omar suggested a new dessert for us to try, Kanafeh is a well-known middle eastern sweet cheese-like delicacy. The step it up by adding vanilla ice cream sprinkled with crushed pistachios. I actually added a picture. WOW!!! We kinda stumbled upon this place while out and about, and we're glad we did! The restaurant was quiet and cozy, and the staff were friendly, kind, and attentive. We chose a couple dishes and some fries, and enjoyed all of it! The gyro was stuffed full of flavorful lamb and chicken and covered generously with delicious, tangy tzatziki. The chicken shawarma plate was my choice, and it was great! The chicken was perfectly flavored, and the rice and Greek salad complemented the chicken perfectly. Plus, the portions were very generous. Hummus Bi-Lahma and Tabouli were spectacular and prepared quickly and correctly. The warm puffy bread that came with the hummus was an added touch I don't usually see, even from the Gyro House in Sherwood, which had always served me regular pita--the Sherwood location has also served me tabouli that was inadequately marinated (i.e., parsley that was overly course) and watery, lacking the lemony goodness that I got from this Beaverton location on two separate occasions. They were polite and prompt when I picked up my order to go. It seemed like a really nice place to eat in too, having lots of seating and a nice ambiance. read more

First timers (traveling for work) and will definitely be back!! Stopped in right as they opened at 11am on a Friday. We ordered a lamb gyro and a chicken gyro and at last minute decided to add hummus and a two piece falafel just because it looked good. That was a great idea !!! Everything was so GOOD! Falafels were giant, and probably enough for two people, but we took remaining to go. When raving about the great Greek food that we had eaten, multiple people knew exactly which restaurant we were talking about and heartily agreed. Visiting the area and decided to go here instead of Oasis, and glad we did! The restaurant is cozy inside and the staff are very friendly - our waitress was super kind and attentive. We ordered the hummus plate appetizer and it was amazing! Super smooth and delicious and the bread that comes with it was great! Just the smell of the warm bread was heavenly (we ordered extra since the apologized comes with a good amount for 2 people). We both ordered the chicken gyro and added the spicy garlic and feta. It's another Friday night date night! Continuing our culinary tour of the Mediterranean and our desire to find the best shawarma in town Wife N. and I landed at Gyro House. As we were seated I started looking around and the decor is fabulous in this place. The walls, the ceiling--everything has something to catch your eye. I ordered the dolmah appetizers and a lamb shawarma gyro. She ordered a hummus and pita, getting both their "puff bread" and some flat pita, along with the chicken shawarma platter. Growing up in the L.A. area, Mediterranean food was everywhere. You couldn't drive any major arterial for two miles without heading past at least fifteen Mediterranean, Lebanese, Greek and Persian restaurants. My sentiments have a high bar and I'll openly confess I'm difficult to please on shawarma. Our olfactory and palates have memories of their own, and mine is hankering for early-'80s San Fernando Valley shawarma; one bite will relegate a restaurant to "it" or "not it" status. The dolmah arrived. I got all six to myself, because Wife N eats few green things and even fewer things wrapped in leaves. She grew up in a food desert and didn't have the luxury of dolmah a couple times a month. Okay, first off, hold the presses. This is seriously tasty dolmah here. It is the absolutely perfect balance of rice, herbs and veggies with a citrusy tartness that went crazy well with the creamy white sauce. This is the closest I've had to "L.A. dolmah" in our past "month of Med." The mains arrived. Her chicken was atop a bed of bright yellow saffron basmati rice and was nicely flavored and as with most of the region's food, mildly spiced. My gyro was...huge. Like, there's no way this would work as street food because it took two hands just to lift it. Now, if I was just looking purely at quantity of food, this is an IMMENSE $10-$11 (spicy) gyro. It is seriously two meals. I'm not a light eater but dang, this gyro is family sized for the money. I took my first bite (and made a mess, because I ordered the $1 upcharge slathering in their spicy garlic sauce). You know that moment when a memory is triggered and suddenly you find yourself transcending into your past, temporarily unaware of your surroundings or companion and forgetting to chew for a couple seconds until you shake yourself back to present-day Beaverton and your wife looks at you with this quizzical look like "umm...you kind of went somewhere for a second or two there?" This shawarma did that to me. I found it. I found my shawarma. This was perfectly cooked, fork tender (I gave up on holding it), and the lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and sauces all brought home this delicacy from my childhood. Total meal was barely over $50, making this the least-expensive meal we've had in the past 5 weeks. We took the other half of our meal home (neither of us could finish ours) and it became today's lunch. Not bad cold either. Absolutely gonna be back here. These guys nailed it. read more

We ordered the lamb pizza, the lamb gyro and the fries! The gyro was really big and there was a lot of meat inside! The pizza was good too and we really liked the crust which was more of a naan texture instead of the normal pizza crust. My kid has been coming here for awhile with his friends. And he's been raving about it. I was in the area one day around lunch so I decided to pop in. It was very busy inside around 1 PM with both diners and people waiting for takeout. But there was no line to order, so it was a fairly quick process. They did try to upsell everything so that was kind of annoying, but it wasn't too big of a deal. I ordered their lamb gyro and their fries with spicy sauce. The lamb gyro was pretty big and came with plenty of meat. I ate a decent portion of the lamb from the gyro, and there was still almost an entire gyro left for my husband to try. The fries were okay. I probably wouldn't get them again. But they weren't terrible. Five stars for portion size and three stars for flavor. All in all it wasn't my favorite. But it wasn't terrible either. read more
