P4. Pad See Ew!! Best wide rice noodles in Chapel Hill!!!
    Ryu D.

Love the location, parking is great. You can literally park in front of the building for pick up. Interior design is beautiful and cozy if you're in the mood to dine in! Consistently cooked to perfection, I won't go anywhere else in Chapel Hill for wide rice noodles. The price is extremely fair for dinner ranging from $13 is a huge bargain for a full meal in this area! Posting this after my second day in a row of dining in at their restaurant. Needless to say: REPEAT CUSTOMER FOR LIFE

Very cute, but a little difficult to find. The food was amazing. I had yellow curry and it was enough to fill me and have some for the next day! Great portion sizes. Try their mango sticky rice! So amazing!

Got delivery from here so granted my food is not as good as eating in the store. The green curry was good but the pad see ew was not seasoned well and it was mostly noodles and not much else. Doesn't compare to the other Thai places on Franklin St.

I've been enjoying Twisted Noodles since my undergraduate years, but they have earned a lifelong customer today (see attached photo)! Thank you for making my day! + level 2 medium still has some heat! + green curry is wonderful, not too sweet and full of flavor + generous portion, affordable price, excellent service

This place is great! The only things I'd say is it would be great if they labeled vegan options. It's a very good price and flavor! I've been in to get takeout and it's always been quiet inside! The staff is very friendly.

This is a great local restaurant to satisfy your Thai food cravings! The location is unassuming, but the food is high in flavor and freshness. For those of you familiar with the area, Twisted Noodles is tucked away in the corner of the same shopping plaza as Trader Joe's, next to the Clean Juice and across from the Starbucks off East Franklin Street. I ordered the Pad See Ew, Green Curry, and Summer rolls, and Thai Fried Rice. The Pad See Ew consisted of chicken, eggs, flat rice noodles, and broccoli stir-fried in a sweet soy sauce. Pad See Ew is my favorite Thai noodle dish and this was an excellent rendition. The broccoli was fresh and cooked perfectly and there was a nice proportion of veggies & protein to noodles. The Green Curry was very good, but had a kick despite being ordered as "mild." Just a word of caution for those of you sensitive to spice! The Summer rolls were beautifully wrapped and full of fresh vegetables. Unfortunately, the Thai fried rice was underwhelming. It was too oily and the green peas were under-cooked. Overall, I was very satisfied and happy to try a local business that is serving high quality Asian food with quick service. Ordering online and curbside pick-up was a breeze. My order was ready even though I arrived 10-15 minutes early to pick it up! I will be back to try their noodle soups as the temperature continue to cool down.

Curry on in and Thai the noodles!! Twisted noodles always satisfies my Thai cravings on Sunday afternoons when most Thai restaraunts are closed. The atmosphere is casual and quiet and offers a nice place to wind down with a nice meal alone or with friends. I usually get the Penang curry, because it is so warm, soothing, and full of flavor. Service is always great, and I have never had to wait too long for food.

Today when I called to ask about if the coconut noodle soup had any pork broth, garlic, or onion (things I have to avoid or I will get sick), I could hear a man on the other end of the call being very rude towards me and the girl asking about the ingredients on my behalf. Stuff like this is what steers people with intolerances away from eating out or asking more information about the food we might want to buy. I didn't want a recipe as he suggested, I simply wanted to know if it had anything that is a common allergies or intolerance. Even when I provided the specific things I have issues with, this man continued to be rude. He had an attitude and was saying, "it's coconut" with a rude tone, as if I was dumb for asking if it has any type of broth in the soup. Meanwhile, many restaurants can make soups with chicken broth and other broths and it still be "coconut" or another flavor so I found that really aggravating. Food is a five a star but the man with the attitude bumped it down to three. 4/20: In response to owner's response-- Let's remember that people can develop food intolerances and allergies as they get older. I was having consistent issues before because I did not know what foods gave me issues and pain. However, now I know and am trying to be careful with what I eat. Additionally, recipes can change over time, just like people and their health. I was just asking and you were very dismissive and rude to both me and your staff.

The Tom Kha in particular was only sour and did not leave room for "sweet and savory" as the menu described. For the price of the items the value also isn't there. The passable thing was the appearance of the restaurant and the theme. It felt like there was intention there. The main disappointments come from the quality of the food and also service interaction. The chicken in the Tom Kha and the pork in my friend's ramen were both tough. I was charged extra for the chicken in my Tom Kha order even though the menu said "choice of protein" and it did not indicate an additional charge. Upon addressing this at checkout I asked if it could be compensated since it was not written. The cashier just gave a blunt "no". I am understanding that maybe there was nothing that could be done, but the disappointment and lack of care towards the misunderstanding felt like a disregard for the customer experience. Lastly, my friend ordered a Tonkotsu ramen which is not pictured here and had food poisoning. Seemed like there were plenty of people that visited the restaurant for takeout and enjoy the food, but I will not be returning.
