My wife and I both had the twisted cheesesteak from the truck at the punk rock flea market in Edison Growing up in Camden I had access to great cheesesteaks. Of course we all know Anthony Bourdain's review of donkey's. And I've had many of the classic Philly steaks. First issue putting stuff inside a pretzel is always suspect to me... I was hesitant but my wife tried it first was going to share it but ate the entire sandwich. So I got one for myself. The pretzel was more roll like but retained the pretzel flavor. The steak was hot and tasty no sign of fat or grizzle. I'm not sure what type of cheese was used but it was browned on top! Great taste and flavor Ok I'm not totally convinced because I've had some pretty bad hotdog pretzels and pretzel sandwiches but I'd recommend this one. The twisted pretzel cheesesteak was amazingly delicious and did not require anything more than the concurrently grilled onions with the cheesy steak that ended up having that slightly burnt end aspect from a smashed burger along some of the edges. You know? That umami crunch!!!! Yum. If you are not a fan of the crunch... I was educated to not say anything if you can't be nice. Mum's the word. The pretzel itself was delightful and I'd have ordered just one of those as the way the saltiness of it compliments the steak and cheese makes you want one all on its own. Because this venue is part of an outdoor community event, I can tell you that the seating provided at the location is plentiful. But, bring chairs with you in case it's busier than you expect. As for the food truck service? Five stars! The cashier and "front of the house" was taking the orders from each person in line then promptly serving out the completed ones, calmly, in due order and keeping everything warm and handing out the food with a smile on her face and plenty of napkins!!!! Much needed. I'm definitely planning to return to enjoy this delightful combination of a Philly pretzel with cheesesteak before they head on out this year in Brigantine. If you see them listed in your event near you, do make them part of your Food Extravaganza! It's a great food truck. It's one I had skipped in previous year at the Brigantine food truck festival. A decent sized establishment with the good ol basic pretzel bread and cheese steaks made with a twist :] total pun intended! The restaurant is well lit and pretty spacious with room around the corner. We were greeted with the front cashier who took our order and we opted for to go because it was a work day and needed to get back for work. She was polite, helpful, and entertaining. There menu with the basic and a twist included their sides for cross cross fries and egg rolls... super neat! They also have a chicken option for dietary preferences! Also!! Vegetarian options too :] Great selections for proteins and substitution and all around a very easy and straight to the point meal. Spent about 15$ for a jalapeño cheesesteak and criss cross fries! Stopped into Twisted Steaks for lunch today. Order the bacon cheesesteak, $14.00 (before tax). Cheesesteak came to my table after a short wait. First thing I noticed was the "diminutive size" of the package. Unwrapping the sandwich was a letdown, it was TINY. For $14 and change, I was expecting a lot more. Sure, it tasted decent enough, and the pretzel roll was fresh, but the portion size just left me unsatisfied. I left hungry, and when do you expect that when ordering a cheesesteak in Jersey ? The bacon added to the sandwich cost me $2, and there was hardly any of it. Can't see a reason for a return visit, the value simply isn't there. read more

The restaurant was clean, and the seating area was big enough to accommodate a good amount of patrons. The menu is based on items served with a twisted artisan style pretzel as the bun. We ordered the BBQ bacon cheesesteak pretzel, the BBQ Bacon cheeseburger, and the cheesesteak egg rolls. The cheesesteak pretzel was great. They pack plenty of meat and cheese inside the pretzel without a hint of bbq sauce that creates an amazing assembly of flavors in your mouth.
