Strawberry, soft serve, and a cake cone dipped in chocolate covered in peanuts

Yummy soft serve and toppings, speedy service and fun ambience my go to for a quick drive-through. Sweet treat.

I love this Twistee Treat! All the toppings are always fresh and they definitely give a good amount mixed in. I love that there is a drive through window and the sweet treats come out quickly. There are about 3-4 tables outside so there is not a whole lot of seating but I usually take my twirls to go (: even the kiddie size is pretty big so this is typically my go to!

Service! Took the family to grab some ice cream. Twistee treat is always a hit with the kids. This location has my favorite menu. It's right next to the Publix not immediately viewable from orange ave. Worth finding it. Charlie was great. I witnessed him handle an impatient customer with grace and "killem with kindness". Service with a smile you don't often get. I had the taco! Brings me back to the choco-taco RIP. Definitely be back with the family.

Came tonight on a date with my husband because we love ice cream! No one was in line or ordering so we walked up and was taken care right away. I ordered a small pistachio milkshake and my husband got a strawberry cheesecake sundae. Both of our ice creams tasted great! The ice creams were made quickly. This Twistee treat has a drive-thru and also a few tables outside to sit down. Definitely will be back!

While digesting a delicious burger we saw a lit up ice cream cone next door which led to an evening dessert delight! I have been to Twistee Treat in Winter garden but not this newer sodo one. It was not very busy outside so we got helped right away. My partner got a swirl and I got the peanut butter twist which is like a DQ Blizzard but much better and the size pictured is only a small one! So you definitely get a lot for what you pay for. When you order be sure to scan the QR code to see the menu prices and know what you are paying for. But I cannot recommend this little ice cream place enough!

In a world where we have seen craft ice cream establishments open up everywhere, it is good to see that the old school soft serve ice cream establishments are still alive and well. Twistee Treat is one of those soft serve ice cream places that have been apart of the landscape here in Orlando for quite a while. You cannot miss one of these locations, it look like a giant ice cream cone. Unique Building architecture was probably what first roommate to a Twistee Treat location. Hey, who is in drawn to a huge ice cream cone? This particular location is located in the back of a strip mall on Orange Avenue. I have been here a few times already and each time has been a pleasant experience. My go to flavor at Twistee Treat and honestly, most ice cream places is pistachio. It was a sheet of ice cream at Twistee Treat is pretty stellar. The last time that I was at this Twistee Treat, I had the pistachio twirl and for a few moments, I was in a culinary heaven. Pricing is appropriate and, as I have said, the service is always been very good at this location and almost all of the Twistee Treat locations that I have been to. I cannot really think of a time that I had less than good service at any location. All in all, I would definitely give this place my recommendation and I would also give it five stars.

By far the best soft serve ice cream in Orlando!! The whole family was satisfied. Great atmosphere and staff were super nice and friendly :). Definitely an Orlando gem

Great refreshing treat that also fills you up. I had the small chocolate with cheesecake and praline. The chocolate ice cream is whipped and creamy. This is a nice treat, but the service could use some improvement as the staff was not overly friendly.

The iconic building has a fantastic reputation to go with it! Twistee Treat is my go-to for soft serve ice cream. They have over a dozen varieties and besides cones and cups, serve up ice cream sandwiches, waffle tacos, milkshakes, malts, freezes, and floats. My favorite is their "twirl" -- your choice of soft serve with up to three toppings mixed in.

Headed to this newly opened location in the SoDo area. They are open for drive thru or carry away at the window. They are wearing masks and gloves for all orders and are careful with safety. My husband and I both ordered sundaes - chocolate for me, and vanilla for him. I asked them to keep the nuts off the sundae as I have an allergy and they were careful to keep mine away from any nuts, which was very considerate. We were in and out quickly and our orders were correct. Overall: A Great start for this new location serving up soft serve ice cream!

    The small KitKat Twistee
    Greg L.

I did the drive thru and ordered a small KitKat Twistee. For a "small", I was surprised how "big" it was! It contained vanilla ice cream with KitKat bits and pieces throughout and the topping was covered with additional KitKat pieces. It was quick and easy to get my order through the drive thru. The server was polite and friendly. I arrived in the middle of the afternoon and there were cars in front and back of me and several people in line for the walk-up window so obviously the place is doing quite well in SoDo. If you want to use the walk-up window, please note there is only limited parking on the side for 4-5 cars. Twistee Treat is a nice addition to the SoDo area.

Forgot to get a picture before eating my hot fudge sundae!

After having dinner nearby, my husband and I decided to stop at Twistee Treat for dessert. We visit this area from time to time but hadn't tried TT yet. We both ordered small sundaes. I'm glad we ordered the small size because even the small size sundae is quite filling! Our order of two hot fudge sundaes with whipped cream and crushed peanuts was quickly taken and delivered to us. We sat a table with a large umbrella to enjoy our dessert in the shade as it was quite hot that afternoon. Service was pleasant and efficient. Prices are reasonable.

It's a small hut in Sodo, but there are a lot of tasty toppings and flavors there. The small/medium Twistee is a lot to finish up.

Craving the soft serve here and wanting to try the UBE…read more They offer samples of the custards if you are not sure which to get. I sampled the vanilla and ube. Both were delicious but the UBE stood out for me. This time it was not as packed and warm temp like it can be at times here. Ordered the Maiko Parfait in Ube : soft-serve with mochi balls, Japanese chestnut, adzuki red beans, sponge cake, corn flake, & agar jelly for $9ish. It was a delicious creamy not too sweet ube soft serve that had a delicious taste of ube. It was bright purple with the yummy-ness of this creamy ube flavor not the flavor im used to in filipino version ice creams. It had the mochi balls and chesnut - Corn flakes, Matcha sponge cake - Red beans, and jelly. I love this dessert. The interesting part of this soft serve - It was slow to melt! It was sturdy enough that when you take your time and enjoy it - It does not melt so fast unlike other soft serves. Would def come back again and get UBE!

Matcha Cafe Maiko is a specialty matcha café focused entirely around Japanese-style matcha desserts…read moreand drinks. We walked into a cute and welcoming space with a menu built around showcasing matcha in different forms rather than treating it as just another flavor option. The atmosphere is cozy and fits the theme well, though seating is limited and it can get crowded during busy times, making it better suited for a quick dessert stop or grabbing a drink to enjoy nearby rather than settling in for a long visit. The main reason to visit is the matcha soft serve and dessert selection. The matcha flavor is noticeably rich and earthy, with a stronger tea profile compared to many sweeter matcha desserts. The soft serve has a smooth, creamy texture and works especially well in combinations like matcha shaved ice, floats, or parfait-style creations. The matcha shaved ice stands out with layers of shaved ice, matcha soft serve, red bean, mochi, and Japanese chestnuts, creating a dessert that has different textures in every bite. The combination of the creamy soft serve with the chewy mochi and the slight bitterness of the matcha creates a balanced dessert that does not rely solely on sugar for flavor. The drink menu gives plenty of ways to experience matcha, from hot and iced matcha drinks to floats and specialty creations. Options like matcha with ube, matcha lattes with foam, and hojicha drinks add variety for anyone who wants something beyond traditional matcha. The café also offers coffee options, which makes it easier for groups with different preferences to find something they enjoy. The matcha lattes are well balanced, with the earthy notes of the tea coming through clearly without being masked by milk or sweetness. Beyond matcha, the menu includes other Japanese-inspired desserts like taiyaki, mochi-based items, and seasonal offerings. The combination of traditional flavors and playful presentations makes the café feel like a dessert destination rather than just a drink shop. The desserts are also visually appealing, with the kind of presentation that makes them worth taking a photo before digging in. The taiyaki are crisp on the outside and filled with a sweet red bean paste that contrasts nicely with the cold soft serve. Service is friendly and helps keep the experience smooth even when the café is busy. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and make it easy to choose between the many matcha options, offering clear descriptions of the flavor profiles and texture differences between the soft serve, shaved ice, and latte options. Because the café has a strong focus on quality matcha and specialty desserts, it can get popular during peak hours, so visiting outside the busiest times may make it easier to find seating and take your time with the menu. Matcha Cafe Maiko is a great spot for anyone who enjoys matcha or wants to try Japanese-style matcha desserts. The combination of rich matcha flavor, creative menu options, and a cozy café atmosphere makes it stand out from typical dessert shops. It feels like a place worth visiting when you want a matcha experience that goes beyond a basic latte, offering a dessert that feels both authentic and indulgent without being overly sweet.

Another good ice cream place to add to my list of favorite places to go in Orlando!…read more The ice cream is a perfect combo of dense, soft, and creamy. From the top of the swirl to the very bottom of the inside of my cone, there was not a single air pocket to be found. I got the chocolate flavored ice cream, and every bite was chocolatey and creamy heaven. Now, if you know your desserts, the cone that is used is usually known as a chimney cake. It is a sweet pastry that is soft on the inside and has a glass-like crunchy exterior that is coated with cinnamon and sugar. It's a little like eating a cruffin, but with a crunchier exterior due to their special way of making it. Definitely worth trying at least once if you've never tried it before. Overall, if you're looking to impress a foodie with something sweet, decadent, and pretty, I'd say give this place a go. The ice cream is as perfect and delicious as you see it.
