It's right next to the Publix not immediately viewable from orange ave. Worth finding it. Charlie was great. I witnessed him handle an impatient customer with grace and "killem with kindness". While digesting a delicious burger we saw a lit up ice cream cone next door which led to an evening dessert delight! I have been to Twistee Treat in Winter garden but not this newer sodo one. It was not very busy outside so we got helped right away. My partner got a swirl and I got the peanut butter twist which is like a DQ Blizzard but much better and the size pictured is only a small one! So you definitely get a lot for what you pay for. The girl who was working the drive thru tonight named Jenise was very rude. Did not get our order right and had an attitude about it. She was very inconvenienced by getting our order wrong. Hey, who is in drawn to a huge ice cream cone? This particular location is located in the back of a strip mall on Orange Avenue. I have been here a few times already and each time has been a pleasant experience. My go to flavor at Twistee Treat and honestly, most ice cream places is pistachio. It was a sheet of ice cream at Twistee Treat is pretty stellar. The last time that I was at this Twistee Treat, I had the pistachio twirl and for a few moments, I was in a culinary heaven. Pricing is appropriate and, as I have said, the service is always been very good at this location and almost all of the Twistee Treat locations that I have been to. I cannot really think of a time that I had less than good service at any location. All in all, I would definitely give this place my recommendation and I would also give it five stars. read more

Headed to this newly opened location in the SoDo area. They are open for drive thru or carry away at the window. They are wearing masks and gloves for all orders and are careful with safety. My husband and I both ordered sundaes - chocolate for me, and vanilla for him. I asked them to keep the nuts off the sundae as I have an allergy and they were careful to keep mine away from any nuts, which was very considerate. It's giving summer night in a movie vibes, but it's perfectly well lit & has cameras for those late night ice cream cravers! There's also a bathroom & a drive through! I did the drive thru and ordered a small KitKat Twistee. For a "small", I was surprised how "big" it was! It contained vanilla ice cream with KitKat bits and pieces throughout and the topping was covered with additional KitKat pieces. It was quick and easy to get my order through the drive thru. The server was polite and friendly. I arrived in the middle of the afternoon and there were cars in front and back of me and several people in line for the walk-up window so obviously the place is doing quite well in SoDo. The sundae includes peanut topping, whipped cream and a cherry. This is my favorite dessert because they warm up the brownie and it sits right atop the ice cream. I'm giving it one star due to the customer service. Our treats came out just fine but ordering was a hassle. The girl at the window didn't say anything so my boyfriend said "hi how are you" and she just didn't say anything back. We brushed that off. Very rude service! I ordered a small vanilla cake cone dipped in chocolate and my husband had gotten a chocolate milkshake and both were very good. I praise the two young ladies who made my order but the man who took my order was very, very rude. He rushed me and my husband about our orders and I noticed he tended to shout at the other workers inside. The window opened and I heard him ordering the two ladies making my order to do something else while they were already busy. I assume he was the manager being as everyone else wore nametags except for him. I've never once had a bad visit from here before everyone has always been very nice and accommodating.
