I have driven by this location so many times and was thrilled to finally try it out. I've been to many others but this location is very intriguing. It is nestled in the heart of a neighborhood and really brings the warm and cozy vibes of a neighborhood ice cream shop. There is no seating inside. Outside has many picnic tables with string lights above. Super cute. Inside the workers greeted us right away. I appreciated sampling a few of the monthly flavors. I got a waffle cone cup with 2 scoops - key lime and blueberry cobbler. I was excited to find out that with the rewards account I have, I finally earned a free scoop on my next visit. Definitely sign up for rewards if you haven't already. We went to sit outside and it was nice atmosphere besides the flies. There were hundreds of flies it seemed to we opted to sit in our car that was parked right outfront of the shop. It looked like several other guests sitting out there also were having issues waving off the flies. The ice cream itself was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the blueberry cobbler. I visited this location last Saturday, and unfortunately it was the worst experience I've ever had at a Kelly's. This is my local location, so the disappointment was even greater. Upon entering, my party and I were ignored by staff. There were only two employees working: one actively helping the line of customers, and another who appeared to be doing nothing. When the employee assisting customers finally reached the person in front of us, the second worker walked up to her and said, "Take your time," despite the line continuing to grow. The comment came across as rude, unprofessional, and dismissive of the customers waiting. The overall service was extremely poor, and this experience has made it clear that I will not be returning to this Kelly's location. read more

The ice cream and service at every Kelly's is basically standardized. You know what you're getting when you approach that counter. What's always different, though, is what each location has to offer you on the outside. I haven't been to too too many Kelly's, but this one was the nicest, I think. Outside was a whole fenced in playground area with soft, fake mulch, nice little park benches, some games like giant Connect 4, and dainty little fairy lights that probably look very nice at night when they're turned on . The flavors they had this time were exquisite, which I know has nothing to do with the location. But it certainly helped this trip be very, very good. read more

If you like ice cream, this place is a must. I got a caramelized pineapple ice cream and kiddy cone . It was very creamy and the pineapple compote is sweet juice and full of flavor. This does not have cake chunks. Which is great for me. The staff here is also super sweet and helpful, and they even gave us as great advice for the amusement parks. The OG Kelly's is a cute spot for dessert and has a great outdoor seating area with yard games. Da OGGGGG! This behemoth chain wouldn't exist if not for this initial shop! They have a cute outside area - not too feasible during the summer hots, but the winter lows, I can see this place being super busy. The inside is pretty no frills and also does not have a lot of space. Parking is also a bit of a pain as it's small and you have to back into a main road to get out. So these pain points really reduce it from the full five. But if you're able to walk here? I would be here everydayyyyy. If you're not familiar with Kelly, this is essentially an American style ice cream scoop shop. They have really fun monthly flavors, mostly tailored to the American tastebud. You may occasionally find a more colorful flavor, but they generally stay true to their roots. Their collabs are also great (Parlor!) but my favorite special? DUNKAROOSSS!!!! A blast from the past from when I was in elementary and I would just dunk my entire fat finger into the dip and suck on it like a babie. I went to the standalone location on Fern Creek/Kaley St. I was able to take my golf cart which I'll admit was a frivolous purchase but came in handy because there is minimal parking and it is always packed, understandably (I would never take ice cream to go). Like with any ice cream shop you get the rush of walking past of the flavor options and deciding which you want to choose. I went with coffee/oreo, it happened to be one of several dairy free options but I just chose it because it combined by two favorite foods! The cup in the picture is the junior size, which I thought was perfect to feel satisfied and avoid stomach ache/guilt/etc. Makes me more motivated to go back and try more flavors. There is a refrigerator inside with to-go pints - they are pricy but a great idea if you have family in town or are celebrating a special occasion. The inside is quiet at this location because of the seating outside. There is corn hole and big connect four outside in addition to tables and benches. The restrooms are also located outside. This is the only Kelly's location I've eaten at, but I've been to several Foxtail locations that they partner with (Winter Park, Hourglass district, Milk district) so if you're a local you shouldn't have to travel far to try some of Orlando's best ice cream! read more

We stopped here after lunch while searching for Vegan ice cream. This place is cute, especially the outside seating where the woodchucks is actually tires shredded which was super cool and good for the planet. They had a very small and limited number of Vegan options (1-2). My boys ended up having the cookies and cream ice cream and sorbet. My sister had the banana pudding which had actual cookies and bananas in it as it was so good. My son dropped his sorbet and they was so nice to give him a new scoop after noticing her dropped it. Love Kelly's! They hire high school kids with manners and are courteous serving the public with this delicious ice cream which became Orlando must go ice cream shop if you are a foodie. They offer ice cream flights which consists 6 single scoop ice cream flavors of your choice placed in either a waffle bowl (extra cost) each or without. They also offer merch which are so adorable imo. I have been eyeing the face mask and cup cozy lol My favorite go to flavors are banana pudding and pistachio. Cookie monster is also delicious as well but the blue food coloring turns me off. I am not big on heavy food coloring on ice cream. Most of these stores are CASH LESS meaning less robberies involved with these shops. Its smart for kellys to do transactions this way. I noticed the shops are clean and last visit I was at .. at Corrine the employee was busy cleaning glass windows. Only flaw was he was spraying the window cleaner onto the glass causing aerosol in the air while customers like myself were eating our ice cream. He should spray the paper towel then wipe the glass window to avoid aerosol in the air. Kelly's is known to the Orlando community and recieved good feedback!
