A brand new garage door was installed less than 48 hours later. Only delay was that the specific door I wanted needed to be cut, otherwise it'd have been replaced in 24 hours. I gave them a call early afternoon and spoke with Cynthia. She told me they'd stop by our home after they completed their other service calls. True to their word, they called to let us know they were on the way. Woody came on up and in minutes had the door and the remotes reset. Refused to honor or help…read morewith warranty work on a shop door opener that we bought from them and that they installed and is still under warranty. Last month, our garage door opener went out. We called Absolute Garage door company and they responded quickly and sent a technician. Unfortunately, that's where our positive experience ended. The technician arrived that afternoon. My wife and I were with him during the service call the entire time. He accessed the opener by using our ladder, pressed a few buttons, unplugged it, plugged it back in, and concluded that opener wasn't working- which we already knew. He asked if we had a power failure, and we told him no. We told him that the motor is only about 3 yrs old and has a 5 yr warranty. He assured us that his company was very good about getting warranty claims approved and would do the necessary steps. He also said he would probably be back the following day to install a new one. The entire service visit lasted about 5 minutes. Instead of receiving a call about the warranty replacement, we received a text with a quote for a new unit. We immediately contacted the company and asked why our warranty wasn't honored. Cynthia told us, that the motor failed because of a power surge, which is not covered. We disagreed because we had no power failure. We also pointed out that the tech never checked the circuit breaker or the fuses on the motor itself and how could he come to that conclusion by not checking those items. Cynthia said she would speak to the tech again to see if there was a misunderstanding and promised to call us back. We never received a call back and after waiting a few hrs and calling her, she never returned any of my calls or texts. In the meantime we contacted the manufacturer directly and they had us check 2 fuses and even sent us photos of the location of the fuses ( fuses were fine). The support team was extremely helpful and we started the claim process with them. The following morning our calls and texts to absolute garage door company went still unanswered until we called from a different phone line. She still insisted that we had a power failure even when I said I would get a letter from my electric company saying that we didn't. She did not change her position. We informed her regarding the fuses that the manufacturer had us check, and she didn't even know that there were 2 fuses in the opener. At this point we realized that we would not get any help from Absolute Garage Door Company and we concluded our call. We went straight through the manufacturer with our claim and about 10 days later we received a new motherboard ( free of charge) from the manufacturer and I installed it myself and had the door opening again in less than 30 minutes. The manufacturer provided excellent service while Absolute Garage Door Company failed us at every level. I definitely DO NOT recommend this company!

I thought it was the opener and something getting out of sync but after some troubleshooting, it was something more serious. I had used Alliance Overhead Door in the past and they were the first call I made. The owner, Chris, took my call on a Sunday around 11am and asked me a few questions to diagnose the issue. It was likely an internal spring that had likely broken and needed replacement. I was afraid there would be an extra charge for a Sunday repair, but Chris so nope. So, I decided to move forward with getting the issue handled. Chris needed to address a current customer and then could be at my place around 1pm. As he was on his way, he texted me with an ETA, which was nice. Once at my place, he confirmed the issue and recommended at Torsion Spring Conversion. He confirmed the price, which was very reasonable, and he got right to work. Within an hour the old broken spring shaft was replaced with the new torsion spring rated for 25,000 cycles. Not only did he fix the issue, he also took the time to inspect the door and lubed the wheels and hinges before leaving. Now I am back in business with a working garage door. Garage door spring broke, searched online for garage door repair. Found "Dan's Garage Door Repair"…read morein my hometown, Buda. The website was clean and straightforward, listing off the services they provided and some coupons. The site had a handy calendar for online booking of repair services, so I used that, which was easy to do. On the confirmation page, it said to expect a call from the technician half an hour before my selected time slot and that if I didn't pick up, they'd cancel the appointment. I received that call almost three hours early (and subsequently missed the call with no voice mail left), so that was frustrating. However, I did get another call about two hours after my timeslot and that time I was able to pick up the phone. The technician let me know he was enroute to my location. The timing still worked fine for me, so whatever. Eric was friendly and right to the point about the problem and cost. I inquired about the coupon I'd found online for $25 off spring replacement and he applied it to the cost prior to tax. That was appreciated. I let him do his thing. Took under an hour (charged $200 for service and $250 for the parts... a little gnarly if you ask me but not like I have the time to teach myself how to repair a garage door spring, so what choice did I really have?). Came with a 6-year warranty and 30-days free service if something else goes wonky in that time window. (Yeesh, it better not.) They accepted check, so I wrote a check because I wanted to avoid the 3% fee for cards. Apparently, they also laughably take Zelle. Noticed the vehicle the technician arrived in was labelled "Nexa Garage Door Repair" instead of Dan's. Eric was upfront about this; apparently, they operated multiple garage door repair places under multiple names and are now merging them all into one. Dunno how to feel about that. But I guess I don't have to feel any way in particular about it cuz my garage door is fixed and hopefully I never have to do it again. I was specifically asked to write this review on the Google platform, which I did in addition to this one. Ordinarily I do all my reviews through Yelp. To be clear, Eric himself was 4-stars. But the exorbitant pricing and wonky scheduling brought my overall rating down.
