The hostess then asked for our name and where we lived, and informed us we could not dine there because we were not members or residents. If this is a members-only restaurant, that should be clearly communicated upfront - before guests are allowed through the gate and into the restaurant. We might have considered membership, but after this experience, we definitely will not.

I was in Phoenix for a work trip and ordered breakfast and drinks for three people. The bill was around $100, which would be perfectly reasonable if the food and service matched the premium pricing. Unfortunately, they didn't. I ordered the Morning Meditation, advertised as a fresh juice made with orange, beet, lemon, ginger, turmeric, and agave. After a long wait, I received what appeared to be plain orange juice. When I asked for it to be corrected, the server brought me a small cup of beet juice and told me to mix it in myself. I then asked about the other advertised ingredients, including the ginger and turmeric. He mumbled something, and when I asked him to clarify, he said something along the lines of, "I can't go to the station; I don't have access to it." He then walked away, and that was the end of it. No attempt to correct the drink, replace it, or remove it from the bill. This wasn't my first visit. I've eaten at First Watch many times (various locations), and the food has consistently been bland and barely okay--perhaps a small step above IHOP--while the coffee tastes like basic hotel coffee. Service is hit or miss, but more often than not, it's a miss. I have no problem paying premium prices for premium food and service. But First Watch is charging premium prices without delivering either. At this point, continuing to return after so many disappointing experiences is probably my own fault. I won't make that mistake again.

I recently dined at Two Bros Kitchen and had a memorable experience. Our server, Dee, had a unique sense of humor that some might find a bit rude at first. When I ordered my lavender tea, she quipped, "The one that smells like dish soap?" It caught me off guard, but I realized she was trying to be funny. Despite the initial impression, Dee was actually quite attentive and sweet throughout our meal. The food at Two Bros Kitchen was outstanding. It was so delicious that we ended up scarfing it all down before we remembered to take any pictures. Dee managed our order perfectly, even with all our add-ons, substitutions, and subtractions. Everything came out exactly as requested. My senior citizen mother absolutely loves this place for breakfast, and it's easy to see why. The combination of great food and attentive service makes Two Bros Kitchen a top choice for us. Despite Dee's quirky humor, her service was spot on, adding to the overall positive experience. Worst breakfast experience. My pancakes were cold. I said nicely with a smile my pancakes were cold. The waiter was nice he said he would fix it. When he brought them back they were warm but very well toasted maybe from an over or toaster oven. Dry and crusty. Couldn't eat them, by then they had a strange taste. How difficult is it to make breakfast? My Dad had biscuits and gravy. The gravy was mundane and tasted greasy. No chunks of sausage or meat. Just the grease. Biscuits were bland as well. I'm sorry but our other choices here in Anthem are Denny's and fast food. It's sad when one would rather go to disgusting Denny's then Two Brothers!! Give us better food Anthem!!!! I visited on a Saturday morning at 8 am. It was dead but picked up by 8:30. Really if I had a breakfast joint and monopolized the clientele for lack of other places to go, I would fix it. Creepy, we are locals and we love the the food, But on this day there was this little old man staring at us while we were eating, it was 3 to 5 mins but it felt longer, I thought it was just us but it was not he continued to do this for at least 35 to 40 mins , at other customers in the restaurant, so we decided to time him, yep he stared for 3 to 5 mins at different tables. So freaking Creepy. We asked our server who this person was and she told us he was one of the owners WOW really. I went with my husband and daughter for brunch. I got steak and eggs, my husband got jalapeño cheddar biscuits and gravy and our daughter got a bacon, egg and potato skillet. Our waitress was very kind and prompt. My food was good and I appreciated the variety of hot sauces available. My husband liked his meal as well. He enjoyed that the pieces of jalapeño weren't too large. The cost for 3 breakfasts was a bit higher than I'm used to, but we are from somewhere where the cost of living is lower. read more

Nothing special and a little too pricey to make it a regular lunch spot. The restaurant was practically empty at lunchtime - no ambiance, unless really quiet is what you are looking for. I like the fact that the chicken was organic/free range - didn't like the additional cost of $4 to add it to my salad entree. Its unfortunate because we don't have a Wildflower Bread Company or a New Frontier's deli to lunch at in Anthem so a healthy alternative would be welcome...at the right price. read more

It's a good restaurant. They have organic, hormone free, antibiotic free and are right across the park in Anthem. The menu is limited and that is the main thing. But I loved the food and the iced tea was not sweet, as I like it and delicious. Yum. You have to try it. read more
