Yes, of course there is yoga involved. But instead of focusing on the eagle pose, you focus on the fun pose that is conducive to pro-goat poses! The staff was so entertaining and nice! Our instructor did a fantastic job of leading the class and was so patient. All the while a friendly gentleman (I believe her hubby) made sure we all got some quality goat action! No one left unsatisfied that they didn't get the full run yoga experience! I went on my own because I'm a one man wolf pack. But most others went in small groups or with a friend so I imagine it's even more fun when your friends can snap photos all the while there is a goat enjoying your mat. :) Give in to your inner goat loving self and enjoy the quirk that is goat yoga! However, the way that the zoo is set up, you can definitely see everything if you walk along the guided path that is laid out on the map. There are some divergent paths, but they all wrap around and lead you in the right direction. Just trust their system and you will naturally continue to go forward instead of doubling back. When we went, it was their 130 Years Celebration so there were several cute photo ops and displays. This zoo had several birds and animals that I haven't seen before, which made it more enjoyable. I mean, after visiting many zoos you become underwhelmed when you see giraffes, elephants, and/or tigers. There were some exhibits that had no animals, but it didn't take away from the experience because there are SO many other animals to view. My favorite exhibits were the penguins because I learned many interesting facts from one of the workers and orangutans because I just loved seeing them interact and slide around on the firehose. There were several stations where you are able to go inside and get more up close and personal with the birds. You can also touch stingrays! In addition, there are a handful of interactive elements inside the zoo, which made it more engaging for my boys. For example, you can take photos against bear silhouettes to see how you compare in height, you can jump to see how far you go compared to certain animals, and etc. The zoo does offer some other experiences that require additional payment, such as the Denver Zoo Railroad, riding a carousel, and Wild Explorer VR. We didn't pay for any of those activities and still had a fabulous time. I think we spent around 3-3.5 hours at the zoo and it was us going at a casual and leisurely pace. My boys were able to withstand the heat and sun fine. I appreciate that we were able to bring in water and snacks because it was absolutely necessary to keep us going!

I'm not sure how many different butterfly species there were, but they were everywhere! I was so lucky to have one land on me. I spent most of my time chasing a magnificent blue one. I didn't manage to get any great photos with my camera, but I did manage to record it weaving through the tropical environment. One of the best parts of the tour was the gift shop. We stocked up on butterfly-themed arts and gifts, and I even brought home a blue butterfly in a still case.

We paid to feed the bison, not realizing they would give you food for free on the train ride. Our kids had a fantastic time and it was a lot of fun feeding the bison on the train. I think this is a great activity to do in the area with kids and it was definitely a highlight in our trip. The Terry Bison Ranch is the only place I have ever heard about where you can hand feed Bison. They also have other things to do here. We got here an hour and a half before our train departed and we have plenty to do. They have lots of animals on this ranch from full grown ostriches and baby ones, a long horn cow, plenty of chickens, baby bison that you can pet, lots of horses, goats, and much more. On the ride over to feed the bison, they had a train robbery reenactment which was fun. The whole train ride takes about an hour to make sure to use the restrooms before getting on. It's a great place to bring kids. Prices were reasonable. $20 per adult $10 for kids to ride the train and $10 for bison feed which is a must. They give you a decent amount of food in the bag. No reservations needed you can buy tickets at the general store. There they have plenty of souvenirs to buy and can answer any questions you may have. An easy day trip from Denver. If you are on a roadtrip I'd recommend stopping here if you are heading to Wyoming from Colorado or vice versa.
