Beautiful boat. Caught about 15 fish (yellowtail snapper, yellow jack, filefish, parrotfish) and spent some time trolling. Madison and her crew were very friendly and helpful and the vessel was clean and comfortable. My family couldn't have had a better time! We booked a 1/2 day trip offshore trip and had a great time. Our captain - Cam and first mate were great! They were personable and did not hesitate to answer any questions! We left out of Isla Bella Resort and within 30 mins we were fishing! We were wanting to catch Mahi and we did! They definitely knew what they were doing and put us on our targeted fish. We caught 25 or so but kept 17. The water was rough that day but the 36' Yellowfin cut through the chop like butter. When we got back to the dock they cleaned our fish and bagged it for us. The only thing negative is that at the end of the trip we obviously intended to tip ( 20% was mandatory which was $240) but when he took the card and ran it we weren't asked to input how much we wanted to tip. It turns out they ran it for a $300 tip. Not a huge deal as we would have tipped more than the standard 20% because we enjoyed the charter and caught what we were looking for however I'm not a fan of just adding what you want and not letting the customer know. All in all we would use them again. My family enjoys watching this outfit on YouTube and it was cool to go on an actual charter with them. read more

they love to sit in a no wake zone at vaca cut where the aquarium uses bait to bring in tarpon and sharks. this causes one of the underpasses of the bridge to be blocked. their captains will intentionally drive towards jet skis, cut them off from behind or follow close to them. they will intentionally drive towards a jet ski and essentially play chicken with them while the jet ski is trying to get out of the boats way, they will just turn their boat in the same direction, they will then laugh at any inexperienced riders that may fall off due to them basically side swiping a jet ski and causing such a big wake so close to them. even if a jet ski is stopped or turned off with a diver flag, they will intentionally drive towards them or get closer than they should to a stopped vessel with a diver flag read more

Extremely disappointed!! My 50 th birthday we chartered a 31 ft while we were staying in marathon with my own 21 ft cc. They canceled the day before because of weather so I took my own boat out and we caught about 25 mutton snappers. Then we pay extra to go out on a bigger boat to catch on reefs and wrecks. I have watched Two Conches for years on TV and idolized them then we pay 1800 to go out ( with tip) and they can even get me a bite! Super bummed. Then they come back in at 11:30 , with out even getting a bite! The pin fish were all bruised in the live wells and died as soon as you put a line in the water. I took my boat out , my little 21 ft with a 150 Yamaha 2 hrs after being drop off and caught 12 keepers in 2 hrs. Super sad that their fishing show does not carry over to charter fishing in their expensive yellowfins. The Two Conchs boat had outdated garmin and Captain didn't even use sonar to see bottom structure to see if fish were even there before wasting our fishing time! The wife of captain even kept asking if the boat was on the reefs . SUCKED!!! read more

HOLD ON TO YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER!! They charged us an additional $300 after our reeef wreck trip, claiming we went off shore. We fished a wreck, no trolling and only brought back one fish. Captain neverf mentioned any additional charge during our trip. When we called, Captain Jack was unpleasant and claimed we went on a "Far Wreck" trip. Captain Dylan was amazing from the moment we left the dock until he filleted the last fish. Kind, funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. He didn't hesitate to answer all of our questions and was quick to engage both kids with facts about fish. Truly an amazing experience! Chances are the captain will be in a bad mood, have outspoken (racist), anger, threatening issues, and take it out on you, in front of your family in a profane rant. There was 6 of us that have done charters before and this time was not a good experience. They should have cancelled the trip since the seas were so rough and two of us never touched a pole. Took at least an hour to catch bait. Once we were out the waves were so rough we ended up coming back in. They canceled the afternoon charter as well as the day after. We just felt like they should've canceled and rescheduled another day or refunded the money. We tipped the captains well because we didn't feel like it was their call. I have a very different kind of review to leave for Jack and 2 Conchs Charters. The Florida Keys has been my home away from home most of my life. I usually went down to visit my brother. This last trip was very different as I was down because my brother suddenly passed away. I had a chance meeting with Jack at his bait shop and it turned out that he and my brother knew each other and worked together for various reasons over the years. I had no idea when I met Jack that he owned 2 Conchs Charters and told him of my wish to do a memorial service out on the water for my brother a couple of days later. Jack offered up two boats, with no charge... his captains, Brandon and Jason took us out on a beautiful memorial boat ride to remember my brother. I had the pleasure of riding with Brandon. He understood the ambience I wanted to create, helped us with music, aligning the boats close together so that both parties on the boats could feel together and set us up with. beautiful backdrop of the 7-mile bridge at sunset. Jason nor Brandon would accept a tip even... I can't say enough about how kind and generous the whole crew was. I'll be back to Marathon very soon and will be going out on 2 Conchs to remember my brother by doing what he loved so much... fishing! Thanks again! read more

Top notch charter outfit. We caught 29 Mahi and two small tuna. The captain was awesome and the mate was kick ass. Super laid back and know what they're doing, much different from almost anywhere else you fish offshore where the captain is yelling all day or the mate is poorly trained. read more

We had a decent time. We came on our honeymoon and did deep sea fishing through Isla Bella Beach Resort with Captain Emmanuel (Manny) Souza. First of all, we do think this charter is seriously overpriced and a 20% gratuity minimum is required. For the deep sea charter, expect to be riding on the boat more than actual fishing. It was a bumpy ride for sure. Captain Manny was just okay. He was very nice and cordial, but his communication was more on the poor side. We weren't told there was no bathroom on the boat or what to wear for best preparation especially for me being a beginner. Even though my husband has fished before, Manny seemed to get slightly frustrated with our newness to fishing as he assumed we knew things about the boat/fishing/terminology/etc. but with no explanation on how to do any of it. Come to think of it, he never showed me how to fish or what to do step by step. Not that it's a big deal, but he was on his phone a lot while driving. However, Manny was nice in that he filleted our fish for us afterwards so we can eat our catch. We tipped him 20%. We did enjoy ourselves, but don't think we'd do it again. read more

That was the single worst charter I have ever been on. In 20 years, that's the first time I've ever gone out and didn't catch ANY fish in the keys. 3/4 day, 0 fish caught. Worse than that? Not only were no fish caught, no bait was taken even. Actually, we lost the big due to a poorly tied knot by the "captain." Spent 3 hours drifting for permit where there weren't any with dead crabs for bait. Then went to a spot 140 feet AWAY from a wreck, and used old, rotted ballyhoo for 1 bait, and a jig for another. Went to another wreck, but still not on or close to it. 200' isn't close to a wreck. Capt seemed intoxicated, lazy, uninterested in actively catching anything or going to places that actually have fish, or even using live bait (which he had, but didn't want to use.) he was more interested in telling us about how doesn't even fish in the keys for more than a couple months a year, and how great he does in other states. So, we spent over a $1200 on a part time captain?! Then he smoked the whole time, tossing cig butts into the ocean. Classy. It was so bad, we cut the trip short an hour early. You should be ashamed and embarrassed that that is how you choose to represent yourselves. Boat wasn't even that nice and seemed beat up, not kept up. "Captain" reminded us of a chain smoking Peter Griffen. Couldn't strongly recommend against this company anymore. Fishing is better in Islamorada anyway. AVOID! read more

Eventually, we did catch two nice fish that tasted great! Other than that our 8 hr. Fishing trip was a 1 star performance at best. Captain was 15 min late to boat. Still needed fuel, ice, bait and some tackle. While fueling cap was not watching the fuel nozzle. Pumped an extra couple gallons of gasoline inside the boat. The fishing we scheduled was not the kind of fishing we did. We wanted to be actively fishing individually but instead we fished one electric rod the whole time apparently going for a trophy. Which we could have spoken up about but we're just there to have fun and hoped the captain make us some magic. Once back we tipped 20%, in cash, on the trip price we had scheduled. To our surprise we received a message later that day saying we were being charged for off-shore fishing plus the additional tip for the upgrade, when we had scheduled the eco-tour fishing and sand bar hopping and were not informed of a price difference while on the water nor the night before when the trip was confirmed. We attempted to call them and discuss our situation but couldn't get anyone to call us back. Then we stopped at their office tackle store in marathon on our way home but no one was there except store workers who gave us the email for the owner Jack. We emailed jack of our situation but have received no response, as of now that is over a week past. Also our captain made a careless path under the highway bridge with too much speed and a horrible sharp angle which nearly resulted in swiping the concrete pillars with the stern. Do not go out with these guys. I would try hillbilly Hooker next time out of key west. Their boat appeared to be well cared for and the young man preparing the boat (before customers arrived ) was obviously more motivated than our captain. read more

I was on the charter with Maggie, the review Captain Jack wrote an extremely rude reply to. I am not surprised by this reply as he showed the same lack of professionalism throughout our entire experience. To start, I have been told multiple times in Marathon that we were unable to go fishing due to the weather. The weather was not even mentioned by Captain Jack when we booked this at 9pm the night before. Maggie went into detail below on our actual experience, but in summary we were freezing and soaked from head to toe the entire trip. The swells made it impossible to fish as you could barely stand in the boat and the lines kept getting blown into the engine. I did not even touch a fishing pole and nor did Maggie because apparently there were only four poles for certain fishing spots. We saw not one other boat on the water and were told we were the only ones brave enough to go out. All six of us combined have been on dozens of fishing charters and have never experienced anything remotely like this. I have never not enjoyed a fishing charter and was very taken aback that we were allowed to go out. As Jack pointed out we did tip our captain well because he was a nice guy and we are decent people who realize that is how he makes his living. Jack was not our captain to be clear as he has only been unprofessional and combative throughout our experience. . When my husband called Jack to ask why we were allowed to go out that day he was extremely defensive and insulting from the start. He blamed us for not looking up the weather and for being poor fisherman. Yes, we are tourists like most of his customers I assume, not expert fisherman. We did not realize that just because the weather on-land is nice does not mean the seas won't be treacherous. If I am not mistaken these are the exact reasons why we pay big money to hire a charter, to tell us those exact things. In all honesty though, if Jack would have been a decent person on that follow up phone call, like our captain was, this review would never have been written. All he had to say was guys, I am really sorry, I wish this would have gone better for you because we really value our customers and we would not have gone back to him, but would have chalked it up as a loss and moved on. Obviously we hit a bad day that we should have never been out on in the first place, but the larger issue that lead me to write this review was how rude Jack was. read more

Charter Date 1/26/19 with Captain Austin With 5 experienced, saltwater fisherman onboard, (over a century of experience between us and hundreds of charters)chartering this boat was a riot and unlike any one we have ever been on. Disaster. We were hyped from the social media campaign these guys put on. Making a trip to the keys is a special trip for a fisherman.... in our case a once In a lifetime trip and the only thing we cared about was getting out on a great charter. Social media is what they care about, not catching fish for their clients. Only charter we had ever been on where the mates and captain were taking pics holding the few fish we caught so they could post on Facebook or instagram. It was strange to say the least. They were out for pictures ... we were out to fish. Should be the opposite. Every time we caught a fish instead of worrying about getting the rods back in water, they had to make an instagram update first. Instagram makes them seem like hearty local fishermen with tons of local knowledge but all they talked about was their fishing show, the colorful wraps and logos on their boats and getting back to the dock early. Fish was not a priority nor did they care about what we wanted to catch. All reports were fish west so we headed east ! Of course. On to the ridiculous -- Captain Austin got the props tangled up 2 times with lines. The first time the mate put a rod down and the line got caught in propeller and pulled the rod overboard. They tried blaming us and asked us to pay for rod that they lost. It was silly. You are the captain. Your sole job is to get us to where we need to be, safely. 5 mins later the the line was run over again and prop fouled us. Thought we may have been on whale wars and just didn't know it. Kept telling us it would be great television for their show. Fellas we are not on a show and this is not funny!! We wanted to sailfish and the conditions were not right. They asked what we wanted to do... we said catch fish. We caught very few fish, nothing over 12". Should have just stayed and fished in the pond at our hotel. Would have been more fun and cheaper. read more
