The cafe has a nice vibe going and I loved the atmosphere and decor. The service was great too. I noticed a lot of reviewers posting about the wait and service but I did not experience that. I went on a packed morning with large families and I was immediately greeted and seated. My waitress was sweet and I would say average wait time for drinks and food. On to the food. Oh my god. Told host what time everyone was arriving. 20 mins before everyone's arrival time, she said our table was ready. She wouldn't seat us because "all" of our party wasn't there, then gave our tables away. Talked to management, and they said as long as most of our party was there, we could be seated. 15 of us were there. They said it would be another hour. They didn't apologize. My server was JT but even if you get someone else it seems like all of the staff are quite friendly and interactive with the customers. I am changing my diet to a very low carb, no bread/pasta/potato sort of thing, and asked JT if it would be possible to have the Mediterranean bowl over their "fresh greens" instead of the listed grits or potatoes... he said they'd never had anyone request that but that they'd do it. It was delicious. Now I know I said low carb but I'm in the "Peach" state so I had to have some.... So JT suggested he'd bring me a bowl of the peaches they put in their cobbler without the crust. So I had the fish and grits. Fish was seasoned well and crispy, it was good. Grits were served on the side that was the only minus. I would have liked to see that fish sitting on top of my grits with some type of sauce or gravy. So it was a little dry but still very good, I ate everything. Ordered the side of potatoes, I have to be honest that was pretty disappointing. Regular degular potatoes no special seasoning or anything (they were fine but I ended up throwing them away). The only downside at this particular location is the seating seems a little crowded. The Conyers location is bigger and more spacious but all the food I've tried thus far has been excellent.
