We had a bit of a complicated move, they made sure they understood our goals and executed them better than we could have. I appreciated that they would good through each room with us before and after items were moved to confirm they were doing what we wanted. They saved us money by efficiently stacking everything both in the truck and in our storage units. We thought for sure we wouldn't be able to fit everything - but there was room to spare when tetris master Brittan was done with it. This was a far more positive experience than I'd have ever guessed. I'm pretty die hard with DIY approach to everything but this was money well spent.

After they left, my husband started going through the truck and saw that they had just placed things in the truck haphazardly and didn't stack from the bottom to the top so that there would be more room for other items. We realize that if my husband didn't intervene, half of our things were going to have to be left behind . My husband had to unload and load both the Pod and the truck, again, by himself. We were supposed to be on the road by noon. We got on the road at 9:30 that night. We ended up driving all night AND we arrived too late to move our things into the new home that has a strict HOA policy of moving only between the hours of 9 and 6 PM. So we couldn't move any of our things in until the next day. The folks that were supposed to help us move in that day weren't available the next day. This was a nightmare. These guys were terrible.

I would not think twice about what service provider to use if I move again-- U-Pack is the way to go. CHOOSING U-PACK OR A COMPETITOR: In comparison to their competitors (U-Haul, Pod, etc.) their price is similar. I found U-Pack to be about $100 more than U-Haul, but you get what you pay for. However, you receive a heavy duty metal box from U-Pack that protects your belongings from weather. U-Haul's service is a somewhat flimsy looking plywood box with a tarp cover over it. I might consider them for a very short move (across town) given that no precipitation is forecasted. BUT, weather doesn't have to be a concern with U-Pack because their box is reliable. PACKING THE BOX: As long as you strategically pack your shipping box, all of your belongings should arrive as expected. We personally packed our box both moves and experienced no damage to our items except for a flimsy laundry rack that we haphazardly threw into the unit. Please note that you do need to provide a lock for your unit. COMMUNICATION WITH COMPANY: The communication with their local branches was efficient, quick, and easy. My shipping box was delivered, departed, and arrived at the scheduled times by humans that were pleasant to interact with. In short, I would use U-Pack again in a heartbeat.

In the past, we had taken a lawn mower for a new carborator, only to have them install it upside down. Later, we had them work on a snow blower, We didn't see it for a couple of weeks after it was delivered to the wrong address, although owner was sure he delivered to our house. It was several houses away, and finally the person living in that house called the police to report it, and we finally got it back. It's a small circle drive, shouldn't be that difficult to find our house where they picked it up!! (They delivered it to house #103 instead of "123" We didn't take any business to them for many many years until recently, we purchased a new Troy Bilt mower from a different store. A a couple of months after purchase, the mower threw a belt and we were told that Wade's was the only place that did their warranty work was Wades or a a city aproximately 50 miles away. We decided to give them another try.... Big MISTAKE! They were nasty on the phone and told us they were too busy and "their customers came first"! We called Troy Bilt, after which we received a message from Wade's they would come pick it up. After a week or so, they brought it back and left it in the driveway parked partially in front of our garage door, if it had been 15 minutes earlier, my daughtter would have backed into it when she backed out of the garage!! My husband was told it would be delivered in the evening, and they came around noon, not bothering to ring our doorbell to let us know it was sitting outside for us to run over!! Then they billed us almost $50 to pick up and deliver even though they are only approximately 6 miles away from our house. In short, this business is run by HIGHLY INCOMPETENT AND RUDE OWNERS!!

I called, received no explanation, was assured they would come on the second. They weren't here by noon. I called again. They came at 11:30 and did a 2-day job in 4 hours. I believe there is a huge gap in communication and scheduling here. After 6 weeks of waiting for a phone call we had requested 3 times, we called about several issues. Someone was sent out to glue and repair some areas that were missed. He asked how old the carpet was. I said it was installed in October. He thought I meant the previous year, 2023. That is because after just 6 weeks, it looks worn. He was shocked. He reported this to Bryan, who came out to check for himself. He said the carpet needs to be vacuumed 3-4 times a week. He also said the seams will not be noticeable after a time. He said he would check back with us after the first of the year. It is now 2/2025. Haven't heard anything. Seams still show and looks even more worn. My research shows me Shaw carpet has issues. Tip bloom is when the fibers bloom or bush out. This was never mentioned before purchasing. I would think the more you vacuum it, the more it will bloom. Bottom line is..... I cannot recommend Shaw carpet. Do your research BEFORE buying.

We wanted it to look nice but not overspend because we will be moving soon. The person who helped us at the store (Ryan) greeted us right away. He listened to our needs and showed us good options and respected our budget. We went home with some samples. Once we made the decision on coverings they were able to set up installation. We decided to save money to rip up the old carpeting ourselves. This allowed us to save enough to get a better carpet pad. The carpet and the hardwood were scheduled to be installed on separate days a week apart. This was fine with us. The only problem I had was the installers were late arriving both times. By hours. Don't get me wrong they were very nice gentlemen and they did a good job. But if you have a scheduled time, you should arrive at the scheduled time. I am happy with the floor coverings and the cost. I would go here again.
