The Two Men and A Truck crew came yesterday and they were fantastic! I could not have asked for a better experience.  Each man introduced himself and we all shook hands. Chris, the leader, assessed the situation, and he and his second, James, formulated a plan. The team set to work immediately and seamlessly finessed the transfer of some very heavy wooden furniture and large paintings, taking extraordinary care with each. Absolute professionals at every turn, they worked together like a fine-tuned team of chefs in a hot kitchen.  I'd also like to mention the intelligence and ingenuity I witnessed. Chris, in particular, had plenty of sharp skills up his sleeve. Undercover architects and engineers to a man. A real pleasure to observe. So, thank you to the five gentlemen for a smooth move!  Quote of the day, à la James, "Assess, then lift." Our dryer was damaged in the move, we paid good money. Did not complain that two out of the 4 men were 90 minutes later to our destination which was 20 minutes away. Complained about the dryer and after many phone calls the reply was $50 refund Never returned the last call because that was lousy! It seemed like it was the men's first day on the job but I was okay with that. Just beware and babysit if you use them!!!! Very disappointing with my banged up dryer. Will not use again or suggest anyone to! Wish I had read the reviews prior too..lesson learned smh read more

TWO VIOLENT MEN and a TRUCK, is this what a professional moving company looks like??? Not only did I have violence during my move but the movers broke a bunch of my furniture too , what's worse is the company wants to charge me overtime for the move because they had to replace the two violent movers. Overall poor experience , company will only pay for my damaged property if I pay their overtime and extra time needed to finish my move because they couldn't send people who are clearly not trained well Broken bed frames, broken tables, punctured walls, broken chairs, broken futon, this company WILL BREAK YOUR STUFF , THEY HAVE POOR TRAINING! Avoid this company at all costs. This was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. The company was paid to pack and move my belongings, and the invoice included packing materials. However, they showed up with none--no bubble wrap, no protective materials at all. They just started throwing my fragile and delicate items into boxes with no care. I had to dig out my own packing materials just to prevent things from getting damaged. Despite bringing fewer boxes than they claimed, they overcharged for them anyway. Items were packed haphazardly--shoes tossed in with spices, decorative items smashed together, resulting in dents and breakage. When I asked them to pause so I could label the boxes (because I didn't have time to label in advance and I'm disabled), they ignored me and refused to stop, making the unpacking process even more difficult. That's exactly why I paid for packing services--to get help I physically needed. They didn't provide it. They also didn't reassemble my bed, even after I pointed out the slats were still in the truck. Later I found the slats just dumped on the floor. They did not complete what they were paid to do. To make matters worse, they tried to bill nearly $4,000 for this move (which took barely an hour and a half) through a state-funded program for domestic violence survivors. I was able to recover most of the money, but the whole thing felt exploitative and borderline fraudulent. Do not use this company. TERRIBLE! They didn't show up on the moving day we had established, so I had to switch to the next day. Then it took 3 men almost 9 hours to complete my move. I paid almost $2000 back in July only to then find my new couch, loveseat, bureau (ripped the legs right off), and coffee table damaged - damages are covered per the contract or so it says. I call and speak to a Manager who apologizes and tells me that they are under new management and that he is waiting on his "vendor" to respond to him and that he will "call me tomorrow". Last time he said that was OCTOBER 9th and I had to call him today OCTOBER 27th. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR BELONGINGS THAT YOU WORKED HARD FOR!!! read more

Holy cow -- we need a level set here. Having moved too many times in my life, moving is always stressful. Always! My experience with Two Men was outstanding! I emailed asking for a quote for a quick move. Answer in less than a few hours, and it was very reasonable. Sent in deposit -- safe and simple. Time was arranged to be between 9 and 10 am and they arrived at 9:30. They were smart, careful and very intelligent. When we got to my destination they were prompt and again very careful. The final bill was less than the high estimate. Could not imagine a better moving experience. Highly recommend these folks! read more

Horrible. Don't use this company! They showed up late with none of the normal equipment for professional moving -- no dollies, no shoulder straps, not even gloves. They had to use our tools to disassemble furniture. They clearly had no idea what they were doing or how to properly load the truck. They damaged literally every piece of furniture they touched. We specifically hired movers because our office furniture is solid cherry and particularly heavy. They did not put it on a dolly or even use gloves. It was a warm day, and they were sweating, which was their excuse for dropping the office furniture, causing irreparable damage to it, while also damaging a support column in our new home that required us to hire a contractor to fix. They told us it would be covered and we just needed to call the main office the following day and file a damage report. We did so and just got the run-around from Izzy, who is apparently the "office manager." After many, many calls with them, we never received any sort of professional response or refund, with Izzy only offering to send "a guy he knows" over to our house to try and repair things, as if we'd ever let them in our house again. To add insult to injury, the final charge was $800 over the estimate because they had to go "over time." They went over time because they were so inexperienced, inefficient, and incompetent. They suck quoted $400 to move 35 feet from one building to another ask for no truck, they brought a truck loaded. The truck drove it 35 feet unloaded the truck charge me for fuel $1300... I would definitely think twice before using this horrendous excuse for a moving company.Oh and then charged me $35 in gas to back the truck up the 35 feet that wasn't necessary!Also broke a family heirloom,but did tell me at least. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. There are so many things wrong about the service we received. My boyfriend and I moved out of an apartment into a house. My boyfriend's parents were at the apartment to oversee the move since we both had to work. The first issue I had was that the mover asked my boyfriend's mother if there was anything of value over $1000. When she replied that she believed a few things including the couch because it was real Italian leather, the mover replied that even then he didn't think it was over $1000. Because the company will only reimburse up to that amount without additional paid coverage, I find it absurd that her comment was dismissed. We certainly did have things of value over that amount and would have willingly paid it to ensure coverage in case of an accident. My second issue is that during transport, our glass top for our dining room table which valued at $1500 upon purchase was broken and our couch which had to be disassembled to be moved was ripped in a few areas, a part of the frame was bent from being forced through a tight doorway, and the cables for the reclining action were left hanging out of the couch when they put it back together. We have been going back and forth with management over these issues. We were offered reimbursement for the glass top for approximately $370 and they offered to send someone to fix the couch. Granted that this table was only a little over a year old and a valued gift from my mother, I was very upset that I was being offered significantly less than it's worth. The website they sent us where they would be purchasing the tabletop to replace (a wholesale glass replacement company-should we have gone that route) showed the retail price and the sale price. Two men and a truck refuses to pay out the retail price and only the sale price which was $300+ cheaper. I understand that the company cannot understand the value of the table as it meant to me, but to refuse to at least pay the monetary value of the table as labeled by the website THEY sent to ME to save their own company money is disgraceful. We requested that instead of paying the full retail price as stated on the website, plus the damages to the couch, we break even and not pay for the move (which totaled to approximately $875). This was denied. When we spoke to the higher up supervisor, we told him that he was dismissing not just the value of the item itself, but the value of it to us by offering a cheap replacement/reimbursement that wasn't even close to the actual worth and he only wanted to save the company money. He just kept saying "it's the company policy" and ultimately agreed that yes the company doesn't care about the value of items. THEFT I trusted the four gentlemen that moved my bed to be alone in my room unsupervised as they reassembled it. Huge mistake. A $16k watch of mine has been stolen. I feel as though I've been violated in my own home while paying the perpetrators... First time dealing with a theft so I'm in the process of dealing with police. First the positive. The crew we had to move 3 large sofas were pleasant and professional. It was clear as soon as we got started that they were inexperienced. Surprisingly, the clock started when the truck left their garage, more than 20 minutes before they arrived. Add another 10-15 minutes to go over their policies and procedures, while the clock ticked on. It took them forever to get the pieces out the door. It would still be in the house if not for my experience and strength. In the end, all three of the leather pieces were scruffed up and one has a tear at the bottom as they tried unsuccessfully to push them through the slider. The same inexperience followed them to the new place, with walls marred on both sides. I pointed out the damage, a photo was taken and i received a prompt call from customer service who listened to my concerns. Still waiting to hear about next steps on resolution. I simply want some of my money back not so much for the damage but the sweat equity. If i wanted to do it myself i would have. read more

I have moved 15 times in the last 20 years because of work and, in fact, have moved the exact same furniture and items in my move today with two different moving companies twice who completed the job in 2 1/2 hours. Today, I am having a nightmarish experience with Two Men and a Truck. I booked my move and paid a deposit and scheduled a start time of 8am and hired additional people to help me unpack on the other end (5 minutes away from the first location). The plan was to start at 8am, pack the truck with items going to my house 5 minutes away, items going to Savers another 5 minutes away, and move boxes from an attic to the second floor for organizing a second move. No one showed at 8am and there was no communication. I called the company and was told that no move was booked and no one was coming. I was told that they would work on pulling together a team and would call me back. No one called me back. I called back at 9:30am and was told they did show my move was booked but there was a mixup internally on how to staff the job but they found a team and they would be there by 10am. The team showed up at 10am and walked around talking about how to move items for almost an hour, then started moving and came to tell me that they traveled from New Hampshire and I would be charged for their 4 hour roundtrip back and forth from New Hampshire as part of my move, that the job was scheduled for 7 hours so if they didn't finish in 3 hours, I would start to get charged overtime. I was shocked and one mover insisted that they should be paid for driving from New Hampshire (which I agree but that's a company cost and I shouldn't be footing the bill to staff movers from out of state or I wouldn't have agreed to pay for 4 hours of travel time!). A second mover said the boss would call me to discuss but I received no call. I have had to scrap the plan to move boxes from the attic, have asked my friends to move items at the house instead of the movers and am sure they will sock me with a bill for the full 7 hours or more. I had planned to hire Two Men and a Truck for the second move but I am cancelling that now and going with a different company. This has been the worst moving experience I have ever had and that is saying something because I have moved so many times but this has been truly horrible. read more

It was raining on the day of our move so I was very worried. As soon as the movers arrived I felt at ease because of their professionalism and amazing teamwork. We just stepped aside and watched-what a great stress free way to move. They took excellent care of our belongings-nothing was broken or lost. They did the job in less hours than anticipated and even made sure I was not charged when they took a 15 minute break between locations(I insisted because of how hard they worked)When we arrived they reassembled our bed and made sure I was happy about where I thought I wanted the furniture. We needed a small move with heavy items to be done quickly. The office staff was helpful and confirmed ahead of time. We had some junk removal that we added on with only short notice. The entire team was very helpful. The movers arrived on time, were very careful with our furniture and were extremely nice!! I will definitely use them again. read more

The 2 movers that came and packed up our apartment were wonderful. They were very personable, knew what they were doing, and very kind. After they packed up our stuff and had left, we received a phone call that our quote was going up an extra $3800 because we had 60 boxes instead of 50 and needed another 2 crates for our long distance move. The employee who called to tell us was anything but kind or understanding on the phone, kept referring to his "calculator" for the move and not taking the time to let us speak. What we found most frustrating was that the two men packing up our things could have told us that the last minute things we asked them to take could have told us it may make our price go up, but they did not. Two men and a truck then told us over the phone that they would happily return our belongings to where they were picked up if we didn't want to pay, which was not an option since we were moving out of state. The Two Men and a Truck in Foxobo MA was not wonderful, and had I known this would have happened, I would have never used them. Two Men and a Truck in Dallas, however, were beyond wonderful and I would never hesitate to use them again. read more
