This was an amazing experience! We went for a tasting and the gentleman was very nice and knowledgeable. The location is GORGEOUS. We bought three bottles of (very affordable) wine and honestly had a hard time picking because they were all so good. Check out this family-friendly winery that is not pretentious!

Fun wine tasting adventure. I enjoyed the wines that we tasted and my favorite was the Cab. We sat inside because it was 100° and the only critique I'd give for them not being 5 stars is cuz our seating was plastic chairs and a plastic table. The staff was super friendly, they had a fridge to make our own charcuterie plates and the land was beautiful to walk around. They mentioned weddings normally occur on Saturdays and we had to call to make a reservation, so be sure to call ahead just in case.

Wonderful winery! Our first stop in the area and we loved it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Amazing experience coming here! It's absolutely not for everyone, but if you enjoy wine, this winery is worth the drive. We were heading towards Grand Junction and found this winery online. When we called, we were disappointed to find out that their last wine tasting starts at 17:15 and we'd miss it by a few minutes. We were going to check the place out anyway to buy some wine (their store is open until 18:00.) When we got there, we were informed that we can still take part in the wine tasting! The pricing is amazing here. I'm not going to give away all the details, but I don't think you'd find a cheaper wine tasting anywhere. Plus, you get a nice souvenir with your purchase of the wine tasting, which in itself should be worth more than the cost of the wine tasting. I'm sure it's still worth it for this winery as most people coming for the tastings will also purchase some wine, but it's still crazy. This is a great business model that's seldom found nowadays, where the establishment lets its product do the talking and doesn't try to nickel and dime the customer at every opportunity. Wine by the bottle is also pretty cheap, especially when you consider that this is a smaller scale operation, yet their pricing is on par with a mass produced wine you'd find at the local grocery store. They simply let their product speak for itself and it works, because the product is good. The wine tasting included 8 wines. I'd be lying if I said I loved every single one, but there was definitely something for everyone. I really enjoyed the Chardonnay and Port, my wife really liked the Chardonnay and Riesling. Most of the wines, except for 1 or 2, had strong, pleasant aromas. The winery is also very quaint and picturesque. During a sunset you'd definitely wonder whether you're in Colorado or Italy... at least on a warmer day. The shop is also very elegant and inviting. Outside of the shop, they have tables for people attending the wine tastings. It's all very well kept and has this rustic/medieval castle vibe. I'm not sure what else they offer here. The chateau may be a sort of bed and breakfast situation like at some other wineries in the area, but I am unsure about that. Either way this place is definitely worth a visit. It's easily accessible and is perfect for any type of time commitment. You can stay as long as you like, tasting the wines at your own pace, or rush through it and get what you like.

A lovely breakfast is provided each morning at Two Rivers feature other hot and cold options. The rooms are tastefully appointed with very comfortable bedding guaranteeing a good night's rest. (Although we did notice the air goes off at night and it got a bit stuffy. The ceiling fan helped.) It has the charm of a Bed and Breakfast. We always visit the Grand Junction area during grape harvest and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Two Rivers.

Adorable vineyard on a well-kept estate and conveniently located near Colorado National Monument. The employee working the tasting room was very friendly and even provided us with a cutting board and knife to cut the cheese that we purchased to go along with our wine tasting. The value of this place is what struck me the most- the wine was some of the best we've had and the tasting was only $5 each- AND we got to keep the branded wine glass. After we finished our tasting, we were permitted to walk around the grounds and even through the rows of vines. Great location and I would highly recommend stopping by!

They seated us about 30 min before they closed. The hours are different than posted on the website currently so make sure to check before you go! They have a pretty good cup system for tasting during COVID. We enjoyed the Chardonnay and the Syrah very much!

Wow what a great experience and a beautiful place the service was fantastic the facility was beautiful the wines were great I would highly recommend anyone coming to this place the flights of tasting were only $3.50 and then you got the keep the souvenir glass so it is truly one of the best deals in wine tasting I have ever found and really the wines were very good which was very unexpected I will be back and I will bring more people

Wonderful little winery with plenty of outdoor seating! My husband and I wanted to get out of town, but we are extremely cautious when going out, so it was nice to find a winery that had safe practices. The flight is a great deal and none of the wines disappointed! Highly recommend

The vineyard was not only restored to its current state but the owner also restores classic Mercedes cars. The views are spectacular and you can see a great distance. We had already strung together a nice wine tour on the Friday and then we we did parks on Saturday. When we were back in town Sunday I suggested we swing back through Palisade(our Airbnb was in Grand Junction) and see if there was another bottle of wine we might like. After 1 other spot we swung by Hermosa Vineyards. It was a humbler operation than some we noted, as we pulled in. I sorta like that over a grandiose entrance. The tasting room was even more humble in size and layout. As we walked in a larger group was just leaving and bought a few wines, so I figured it must be pretty good. It was good overall. The vintner was also our bartender he said. He told us alot about the history of him and the place. We learned alot about the produce he had growing as well. We were the only customers at that moment so he was especially chatty with us. It was a nice stop, we didn't get a bottle here, but we did appreciate the vibe.

As my expectation for this small but reputable winery grew as the day of the trip was near, today, I have the pleasure of writing this 5-star review to add to others' raves after I had a wonderful time spending 30 minutes at this one of a kind winery a few days ago. Kenneth was the most experienced/knowledgeable wine makers out of all 11 places I got to visit in Palisade mid this week. He certainly knows what wine making is all about and I could taste the precision he puts into each varietal. No wonder his place is ranked one of the top Colorado wineries. Hermosa is small and quaint but big doesn't always describe the success of a/any business. I certainly see that his pride as a wine maker is reflected in the kind of winery he runs: no extravagance, no big/expensive sign. Some great business is not always on the main/busy street; hence the expression, "hidden gem". Ken's winery is a hidden gem of Colorado's wine country is an understatement. His wines are not cheap like other wineries' wines so expect pay $5 to $10 more. But once you have tasted the qualities of his wines after a flight, you WILL be convinced to buy a bottle or two.

We were one of only two parties and soon, were solo in the tasting room which offered a great opportunity to ask questions and hear more about the winery's personal history. We even spoke to one of the vintners about the blends that make up one of their newer wines. Super cool! Many of their wines are VERY easy drinking. Head's up here, this winery can be very dangerous, lol, if you are not staying in town. We took advantage of their wine flight and choose 5 wines each. Sharing a few sips here and there gave us an opportunity to try even more. I loved so many of the whites, it was hard to choose which ones we'd take with us. What I maybe appreciated most was their handy "catalog" of each wine, the notes, dryness or maybe fruitiness and what to expect when choosing it. The staff were incredible - everything you'd want when trying new thing: friendly, educational, funny and not at all in a hurry. Carlson FTW! We took 5 bottles home! Overall, I think we tried 11 different items (try their tasting flights), but in the end, I settled on a glass of the white merlot, closely beating out the red merlot that my wife ended up selecting. Given the great weather, we ended up sitting in the gazebo outside and had a lovely time. The staff is very personable and knowledgeable. We knew there were plenty of wineries, but since my wife like trying new things and I didn't know where she had gone in the past, I had her pick the place to go when we got in and she 'randomly' selected this one. We couldn't have been happier. They have plenty of places to sit outside, but we went to the upstairs patio that overlooks the vineyard. It was a great choice. It's very pleasant, the view is beautiful, it's covered (so you're not baking in the sun), and when the breeze rolls through, it's perfect. We were a little taken aback that we had to go "all the way" downstairs when we wanted more wine, but then realized that it's the 'winery atmosphere' (remember - first day in to Palisade). We absolutely loved sitting on the patio and having a couple glasses of wine. We spent the next day visiting a few other wineries, but after two others, we decided to go back to Carboy. Sat on the upstairs patio again and listened to the live music (with a couple glasses of wine). It was amazing. Carboy has an assorted selection of food that can be ordered. We didn't order any, but it looked amazing and the people around us that did order things seemed happy with it. The only thing that we commented on was that when there's live music, we would have loved to have had the option of a food truck. If that had been the case, we both agreed that we probably would have stayed and had dinner there (as it was, we decided to leave and get dinner from a restaurant). If you're in Palisade (and are visiting wineries), I highly recommend Carboy. Personally, I'd skip the tasting 'flight' and go straight for a glass of wine, but that's mostly because the tasting varies from white to red (and I'm not a big fan of whites).

It was absolutely amazing!! From the service to the very last drink. It was worth the stop.read more
