What a beautiful place, it looks fancy but feels friendly and approachable. Our wine guy Rob was so knowledgeable and nice. He is one of the owners which made our visit feel a bit VIP. Good place to chill out given the heatwave hitting the area on the holiday weekend. We arrived with two other groups so we quickly snagged a table in their tasting room which was nothing fancy. The overflow seating looked to be in the tank/fermeting room, This winery had the best prices in the area for a tasting at just $10 for eight samples. The wines were good for Colorado. I personally ran 2 wineries in Napa, stayed in B&B's there and visited many wineries and yet this hidden gem gives you the same experience but in the Grand Junction CO area! Very great stop on way to Moab or even on an adventure to Rockies! Very relaxing on a long adventure. The winery makes their wines with solely sourced grapes from the local appellation, and I must say they are really pretty good! Bob, Billie, Rob, Brittany, and LeighAnn are all family and make you feel like you are a relative too! Visited in March, so I'm sure with the summer concerts, warm weather, and romance of being surrounded by grapevines, spring, summer, and fall colors also offer a full range of activities to go with staying in such a beautiful place, something you want to experience! read more

Fun wine tasting adventure. I enjoyed the wines that we tasted and my favorite was the Cab. We sat inside because it was 100° and the only critique I'd give for them not being 5 stars is cuz our seating was plastic chairs and a plastic table. The staff was super friendly, they had a fridge to make our own charcuterie plates and the land was beautiful to walk around. They mentioned weddings normally occur on Saturdays and we had to call to make a reservation, so be sure to call ahead just in case. read more

Amazing experience coming here! It's absolutely not for everyone, but if you enjoy wine, this winery is worth the drive. We were heading towards Grand Junction and found this winery online. When we called, we were disappointed to find out that their last wine tasting starts at 17:15 and we'd miss it by a few minutes. We were going to check the place out anyway to buy some wine (their store is open until 18:00.) When we got there, we were informed that we can still take part in the wine tasting! The pricing is amazing here. I'm not going to give away all the details, but I don't think you'd find a cheaper wine tasting anywhere. Plus, you get a nice souvenir with your purchase of the wine tasting, which in itself should be worth more than the cost of the wine tasting. I'm sure it's still worth it for this winery as most people coming for the tastings will also purchase some wine, but it's still crazy. This is a great business model that's seldom found nowadays, where the establishment lets its product do the talking and doesn't try to nickel and dime the customer at every opportunity. Wine by the bottle is also pretty cheap, especially when you consider that this is a smaller scale operation, yet their pricing is on par with a mass produced wine you'd find at the local grocery store. They simply let their product speak for itself and it works, because the product is good. The wine tasting included 8 wines. I'd be lying if I said I loved every single one, but there was definitely something for everyone. I really enjoyed the Chardonnay and Port, my wife really liked the Chardonnay and Riesling. Most of the wines, except for 1 or 2, had strong, pleasant aromas. The winery is also very quaint and picturesque. During a sunset you'd definitely wonder whether you're in Colorado or Italy... at least on a warmer day. The shop is also very elegant and inviting. Outside of the shop, they have tables for people attending the wine tastings. It's all very well kept and has this rustic/medieval castle vibe. I'm not sure what else they offer here. The chateau may be a sort of bed and breakfast situation like at some other wineries in the area, but I am unsure about that. Either way this place is definitely worth a visit. It's easily accessible and is perfect for any type of time commitment. You can stay as long as you like, tasting the wines at your own pace, or rush through it and get what you like. read more

A lovely breakfast is provided each morning at Two Rivers feature other hot and cold options. The rooms are tastefully appointed with very comfortable bedding guaranteeing a good night's rest. (Although we did notice the air goes off at night and it got a bit stuffy. The ceiling fan helped.) It has the charm of a Bed and Breakfast. We always visit the Grand Junction area during grape harvest and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Two Rivers. read more

Adorable vineyard on a well-kept estate and conveniently located near Colorado National Monument. The employee working the tasting room was very friendly and even provided us with a cutting board and knife to cut the cheese that we purchased to go along with our wine tasting. The value of this place is what struck me the most- the wine was some of the best we've had and the tasting was only $5 each- AND we got to keep the branded wine glass. Want to find some mighty fine wine at a great price point? This is where you need to be. Beautiful tasting room; no tasting fee (as of Aug 2018), and good wines priced at about $15/bottle. We left with a mixed case of Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon. And after we left, we were regretting not buying more. The woman who originally served us was overwhelmed and was not appreciative of our large group (13) coming in. It was 11 am and not busy whatsoever. My boyfriend and I had a great experience coming here! We went on a Thursday afternoon so we were actually the only ones in there. It was different than any of the wine tastings I've done, usually you only get to try 4 different wines but here you get to try all 8 of their wines which we thought was cool. Both employees that helped us were very friendly and we ended purchasing 2 bottles that we really liked. This is probably the best tasting experience I had in Grand Junction/Palisade. As you drive up the small driveway (it's very easy to miss the actual entrance heading north) the place just looks gorgeous. The short driveway winds between rows and rows of grape vines, and the Winery itself (the tasting house is nestled in with the Chateau, which serves as a very affordable bed and breakfast as well) is outlined in wonderful contrast by the edges of Colorado National Monument directly behind it. It's incredibly picturesque. Upon entering we found another couple who was staying at the same bed and breakfast as us just leaving, and they told us it was a great place! They were indeed correct. The wines were delicious, the woman pouring for us was incredibly friendly. She was all about chatting with us, having fun, trying to help us discover new flavors in the wine and really aiding us in the expansions of our palate. Her only interest seemed to be in us having fun and enjoying ourselves and learning something. After a few minutes the tasting room filled up with tourists and travelers, so we walked around to their other tasting room that was decorated like a cute sitting room, and even got to walk around and look at their fermentation tanks and things. I picked up two bottles of Syrah (it was my favorite red wine of the trip) and the lady brought home two bottles of Merlot (unlike any other merlot I've ever had!) This winery is just outside of downtown, very easy to get to, and definitely worth a visit. read more

This place was awesome. My friend got married here and it was a beautiful venue. Some great photos ops in the vineyards and in front of the amazing arched doorway and stone buildings. The best part is when you book a wedding they give you the 10 rooms at the Château for Friday and Saturday. It was really nice to be able to get there on Friday afternoon set up everything for the wedding on Saturday, get dressed there and then when the night was over have your friends and family be able to walk (or stumble) upstairs and go to sleep. The breakfast in the morning was really good too. I personally didn't get to go to the tasting room, but my boyfriend said it was nice. It's not too far from everything, but you do feel like you're nice and secluded. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We even stayed and extra night cause we liked it so much! read more

We walked in the door at 5:47pm and were rudely turned away by the person that we talked with on the phone. Thanks for wasting our time driving to the other side of town. Imagine driving for six hours. You allowed extra time because the weather was snowy/icy. Then you get to the place where you booked. (Two River Winery) The drive was easier than anticipated so you get there early. You walk in - knock on the office door to check-in. No answer. There is a sign on the door that says 'the office is closed."You look at the front door and see a sign that says check in with the bartender if you are checking in. You go to the bartender - he passes you off to someone else who takes you back to the office. He opens the door and there is a lady there eating a heaping plate of food. She sees me and says "Sorry I didn't answer the door when you knocked. I was on the phone." Then she says "You're early... we don't check people in before 3 pm." I said I just drove 6 hours to get here and I'm not feeling that nice welcome I usually get when I arrive at a hotel/B & B/etc.. A place you plan and pay for in advance so you can get some nice hospitality, What we get is lambasted for arriving at 12:45 instead of 3 pm - for interrupting your phone calls and your chance to chow down. More chastising followed.... "It's customary to check in at 3 pm" "If you had read the email that we sent you would know check-in isn't until 3 pm." The tone is beyond condescending, meant to degrade and scold. The rude talk continues. "It's polite to call ahead of time and let us know you're arriving early." Imagine being scolded by the place you have chosen to pay to stay- to spend some relaxing time at. After some inhospitable back and forth the lady whose meal I interrupted says maybe we're not a good fit. She refunds my money. Meanwhile, the guy takes out his phone and starts videotaping me. I played the actor for him and spoke to him about how inhospitable the managers are at The Two Rivers Winery. Nothing like immediately getting chastised upon arriving at your destination after a long journey. If you value your getaways and need to be pampered and feel valued- you must avoid Two Rivers Winery in Grand Junction at all costs. But, if you enjoy rude, disrespectful, and creepy gatekeepers.... then you might actually like this place. read more

I'm not into pretentious modern replicas like you see in Las Vegas, but some of them can still be fun. The facade on Two Rivers looks pleasing and it could still be a good experience if the management was friendly. However I found the owner to be quite a snob. Having been to authentic wineries in France, Italy and Spain where hosts and waiters actually like their guests and show their appreciation, this was a deal breaker for me and I will never be back. If you decide to try it anyway, book ahead of time, ask them to keep the owner locked up, and it's possible you might have a pleasant experience. read more

We were having a lovely time with Mrs Witham and another couple who own a tourism business in another state. Bill Witham the owner came in and was nasty mean to the gentleman who tried to talk to Bill in a kind and gentle way to calm Bill down. Was told to leave or he would call the sheriff. Mrs body language changed to very timid almost fearful during her husband's on going tantrum. We did not make our planned purchases, only the tasting. The winery sits below the cliffs of the Colorado National Monument - breathtaking in and of itself. The tasting room was upscale and the wines were all exceptional. Used to drinking high quality California wines, we were amazed by what this winery had to offer. We especially liked the Chardonnay and Cab, but the Sarah was also excellent. Very cute winery in Grand Junction. Was looking for a place to get away from COVID. Very impressed with steps they have taken. Tasting was only $3.50 each for 8 tasting and you kept your glass. Tastings were in individual cups that were numbered to correspond with tasting notes. You got all the tastes at the same time to avoid contact. Seating was spaced out and employees were wearing masks. Your choice of two rooms to sit inside or outside on the patio. Felt very safe going and had some very tasty wine. What a great surprise after a hot day in the Monument. Four miles up the road...it's worth it! Lois helps you with your complimentary tasting and shares details about the wines in a friendly and approachable way. Their 2015 Cab is great (fruit forward) as is their Vintner's Blend (a nice spicy finish). The Chard is European rather than Californian... no descriptive words like "buttery"; thank goodness.
