Awesome brewery, so glad we found it. It's a huge place with so many different areas - area 1 taproom, outside seating, area 2. During the pandemic they are only taking reservations for inside and outside, nothing for area 2 which is their experimental area. Area 1 is so big they didn't have to move tables for social distancing. Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Outside was a lot of fun. It's very spread out, Adirondack chairs in the grass. They have food trucks for both areas and they're always pretty good. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgable about the beer. If you're looking for more of a variety of beers, I would sit inside where they have more choices on tap. Be sure to make a reservation, they don't take walk-ins. read more

Took a short road trip to CT yesterday since it's one of the only "open" states. Made a reservation for inside for 4pm and it was everything I wanted, or needed, and more. We were the very first table of the day and although we had a 90 minute time limit we were informed that if no one was scheduled for our table, we could extend. 30 minutes prior to our time being up an employee came by to let us know, but we opted not to extend. I don't say this lightly, but this is by far one of the best breweries I've ever been to. The space is huge, comfortable, and the service is excellent. Joe was attentive, friendly, and fun. They have an arrangement with the pizza place across the street - Pizzaco - where you can order in, or place an order with one of the food servers who comes over. Huge outdoor space, plenty of parking, and a great store to grab some beer, bar mats, tap handles, posters, etc. Will be back as soon as I can. read more

Confirmation upon registration said give awash every 20 mins and more than 2 hours in and nothing. I've been here plenty of times and absolutely love the beer here and the location is so convenient off of I-95! As everyone is these days, my boyfriend and I were looking for something fun to do outdoors that didn't break the bank and would be conscious of social distancing and two roads was everything we wanted! Reserving a table has never been easier and I really hope they keep this system even after covid restrictions end. We reserved the night before and walked to the table in front outside and were seated within a few minutes. I really like that they have booked slots for 90 minutes and we never felt rushed at all. We ordered our drinks from the friendly beertender and then ordered some food by texting the food truck. Payment was contactless and there were plenty of tables that were spread out. Took my dad for father's day to the brewery which he had never been too. We went on the tour which was both informative and well worth it's $5 admission. I love the idea that despite the fact that they don't sell food that they bring in local vendors who do and share their success. We also visit area 2 and it was a little bit quieter than the main brewery but as a lover of sours, it was a good change. read more

Went to CT Pizza and Brew fest. Stopped by Two Roads. Imagine my surprise when I was charged $17.25 for a beer on tap. There was no menu or signage warning me of the price. There is no way I would normally pay that much for a beer. I should have walked away but reluctantly paid the outlandish price. After paying over $100 for 3 tickets to the festival plus parking, plus pizza by the slice, this was an expensive afternoon, not worth the cost or the ambiance. Ticket takers did not even bother to tell us where the beer tastings were happening, so we did not find the beer garden until we were already fed up and on our way out. All in all, a big rip off. I do not recommend anyone opt to attend next year if this becomes an annual event. read more

"The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost (1920) What an incredible success story lies down that less traveled road! Two Roads Brewery is only five years old but it has catapulted to the top of the heap in Connecticut and shows no signs of slowing down. It's adding a second brewing facility (25,000 SF) near their massive existing structure, and they'll be opening a taproom in Bradley Airport just about any day. There is a festive party-like atmosphere inside, where hundreds of people are enjoying themselves and drinking some great beer. We visited on a Saturday just after noon, and by the time we left a few hours later, the line to get into the facility snaked ridiculously long out the front door and into the parking lot. We signed up for the 1:00 tour, and at just $5 it was a tremendous value, featuring tons of great information on the history of the brewery and samples of five different beers from Two Roads' impressive repertoire. They produce 23 beers divided into their Year Rounds (7), Seasonals (5), and Limited Releases (11). Among the beers we tried were Worker's Comp, Honeyspot Road, and No Limits. I liked them all, even the Honeyspot Road Wheat IPA (I normally can't stand IPA's). But as great as the beers are, they are only one part of the Two Roads Experience. First of all -the place is massive with a huge bar, dozens of tables and bar stools, a growler filling station, tables selling cheese platters, and all sorts of tables for promotions. They have a big gift shop. They have private rooms for special events. They have an enormous production area with as much stainless steel piping and kettles and tanks as you have ever seen in your life. Take the tour -it's really worth it. Two roads brewery is one of the best breweries that we have visited in the Tri state area. They have a wonderfully friendly staff, large open space, a full service bar and large selection of beers. After sampling 5 types of beer for $10-11, you can choose to buy a pint or take home a 4-pak, 6-pak or growler. The 17 different types of frosty beers gaurantees a brew that delights everyone in your party. From Queens, it's a short 1 hour drive into Stratford, CT. We arrived around 12 pm on Sunday. The brewery had a couple scattered parties at that time. Some of the staff were kind enough to give us a short history about the space before we proceeded to sample every beer on their menu. I loved the spinning bar stools and the round wooden tables. Two hands lets you bring in outside food so we brought a mini picnic of smoked Gouda, challah bread, Terra blue chips to accompany our generously-poured cold brews. My favorites were the light fruity fragrant Honeyspot Road IPA, the light nutty barley taste of the No Limits hefeweizen and the expresso smoothness of the Pachamamma Porter. So many great tasting beers! We could have stayed longer but it got very crowded around 2-3 pm. We finished our samples and headed to the gift shop.We bought a six pack of our favorites and one quart of the frosty cherry sour beer to enjoy at home. Covid precautions are great HOWEVER save yourself and DO NOT order the blood peach lambic (it comes in a flight) it taste like vomit ... trust me. It remained me of the morning after a frat party. But the service is great the food truck (Me'stezo) was good the guacamole was great! read more

I came here on a Saturday afternoon with some friends right at noon for when they opened. The parking lot was already full but we found out later there was a bike race takeing place there which was causing the crowdedness. We were able to get a spot and then go upstairs for some drinks. The bartenders were quick to help and also offer recommendations which was nice. We all got a flight and then a beer after tasting them. It was a little unfortunate we couldn't take flights outside, only glasses, so we had to stay indoors for that part. But the beers were good and reasonably priced. Id recommend a stop in! read more

Welcome to Stratford, Two Roads! I can see this place becoming a tourist destination. This team paid the utmost respect not only to the original building, but the history of innovation and industry in Stratford. Their tasting hours are understandably limited, but do make a point to go. You can get a flight of beers as a taster and then buy a growler or bottles of your favourites. This is definitely a place someone can go alone since there is so much to look at, from the re-purposed from the original factory decor, to their surprisingly robust store of cool merchandise. Plus the amazing historical photos, and then the entire factory process all open for you to watch while you sip. I'm sure there's more to report but since I'm anxious to get in this review, I will say for now--just go! NB: I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I love this place. read more

Two Roads is the only reason theres now more than the 6 breweries we had for many years in CT (changed the laws to allow tasting rooms which is now why you have so many great breweries to choose from). Just past honeyspot road you'd be blind if you missed the ol' factory adorned with the Two Roads logo. About 3.5 years ago they scooped this gem up and cleaned it up, why not preserve this beautiful structure with a few million dollars huh? I couldn't imagine polishing up this massive structure said to have years worth of hard work and grime an inch thick on the walls. They made it spotless! Restoring all the brick, moving in their elaborate equipment, keeping this place immaculate to the T. Yesterday was a treat for sure, and I'm not just talking about the Tipsy Cones ice-cream truck that was parked outside. See I had been here before but being on Long Island I don't get up there often. It all started when I convinced my buddy (Kaptain Hops) to go aboard the ferry with me for their 2nd annual Ferry 2 Two Roads event. 40 bux got you a pint on the boat from Port Jeff, a Pint at the brewery, and the ticket for the ferry itself. We were also shuttled to the brewery once landing in Bridgeport and last but not least, the tour! So one tour is as good as another, usually... but Two Roads is just so massive and over the top, I'd highly suggest this one! We lucked out, we met Clem earlier on in the day and took his tour getting a first hand look into one of the founders viewpoint of the business. Great, down-to-earth guy willing to share plenty of information about the history of the building, the investments, and some of the secrecy behind the business as well. It's no secret that there is some subcontracted brewing going on behind all this brick and mortar but just how much? We'll leave that for the gypsies to tell ya themselves. We were very spoiled yesterday and had a great time, the band came over on the boat with us and set up as we had our first official pint at the brewery, the event room right up the stairs was full of friendly folks preparing for the day with a little corn-hole. There was a super cute girl doling out samples of cold pressed juice made there in CT, and a plethora of regulars rolling in soon after. I could tell you this place is rather large but no amount of description will prepare you for what you are going to find out by going yourselves. They've got a stage in the back against some fresh growing hops so I imagine they have some great events. They always have a couple food trucks out in the parking lot and a beer garden set up for even more fun. Clem took a couple of us into the barrel room where we got some nicely aged stuff and a sneak peak at all of their projects to come. We walked through a workshop of sorts to get there in which they repurpose barrels into ice chests and adirondack chairs etc. The smell of oak and whiskey could make angels sing. We saw a lot of product yesterday to say the least and it gave me a whole new respect for the operations behind Two Roads for sure. You'll be sure to find an abundance of styles and sometimes some unreleased bonus beers only available in the tasting room. I'd say more, but just head to Stratford and see with your own eyes! For such a "young" brewery, Two Roads Brewing company is really headed in the right direction. I love almost all of their beers and was happy to be able to finally tour their facility. We went on a Sunday and arrived a bit early to secure one of the first tours of the afternoon. We were glad we did as by the time we left the place was hopping There has been some serious money injected into this brewery. From the moment you walk into this converted factory - you can tell that they are serious about beer and most if not all of their equipment is the best of the best. However, I did not get a pretentious feel. It's a very relaxed vibe. The tour was very informative, casual and a great history lesson. I have been on *cough* several brewery tours this year and this was one of the most relaxed. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the best part - delicious beer tasting throughout the tour. I basically got a tasting flight as I learned about Two Roads - not a bad tradeoff. In addition to their tasting room - where you can belly up to the bar and get your growlers filled. There is a "beer" garden outside. Picnic tables and their mobile beer truck allow visitors on a nice day to soak up the sun while their sip the frosty brew. And if you are lucky enough to go on the weekend - they have a variety of food trucks that set up shop in their parking lot. Their website updates the food truck schedule weekly. On the day we were there - we sampled pulled pork from a vendor that escapes my mind. Oh well guess I will have to go back soon. So head down to Two Roads and support a local business that produces great craft beer right in our backyard. read more

I didn't want to leave! This brewery has everything - great beer, great atmosphere, food trucks, and an outdoor beer garden. We got to the brewery around noon on a Saturday and it wasn't very busy. We went upstairs and each got a flight. We sat at the bar with a great view of the tanks. Some of the tanks had some awesome artwork on them, which in my opinion kicked the vibe up a notch. We each started with a flight of 5 beers. I tried the Honeyspot Rd. Unfiltered IPA, Worker's Comp Farmhouse Ale, Road Jam Raspberry Lemongrass Ale, Bergamonster Bergamot Orange Belgian, and Sauvignon Blanc Goose - a beer infused with Sauvignon Blanc grapes. All of the beers were delicious. My favorites were the Honeyspot Rd., Road Jam, and Sauvignon Blanc Goose. Once we finished our tasting my boyfriend noticed a small sign that read "ask about our vault beers". So of course we did and the bartender pulled a list of aged and interesting beers. We ended splitting a bottle of pumpkin ale that was out of this world flavorful. Outside they had the food truck, a kettle corn booth, and beer garden. We ended up staying for lunch, enjoying the beer garden, sunshine, and good vibes. Two Roads is a great place to have a beer and/or spend the day :) read more

I LOVE this brewery. They have a huge bar/beer hall that gets packed on the weekends as well as a beer garden. They have tons of gose/sours on tap and they are all delicious. One of my favorite sweatshirts came from Two Roads, it's such good quality, certainly worth $55. The bartenders are very efficient even during their busiest times. I saw a tall glass break on the bar near two patrons. The bartenders grabbed their beers immediately, without thought and filled up new glasses to ensure they wouldn't be harmed. It goes to show excellently trained the employees are and the level of care that goes into making sure the customer has a quality visit here. read more

I've been from east to west and north to south on good ol' Long Island and have tried my share of breweries and beers. But I have to say I haven't come across a brewery on the isle that's quite like Two Roads. Located in Stratford, CT in an old/large/refurbished factory building is this stellar brewing company. I traveled up here Saturday afternoon with a couple of chums to sample some beers and tour the facility. For $5 you'll get that tour along with several tastes of a few choice brews. But before we hop on board, the outside of the brewery has some labeling to ensure you know you've found this beer haven as well as some outdoor tables and food trucks, if you're feeling hungry. Enter into a long tasting room with two bar areas and plenty of seating (most of it are stools that spin) as well as a gift shop filled with anything you'd ever want with a Two Roads label. They have a large selection of different beers, from seasonal to year round choices. I had a pint of the Geyser Gose which was light and tart. We then hopped aboard the tour (Josh was the name of the tour guide so that was a good start, haha) and learned all about the history of the brewery and brewing process. Along the way we tried different beers (a Hefeweizen, IPA, Pilsner, and a few more) and got some insight into their styles. It was informative, enlightening, and most importantly, tasty. Overall, this is a brewery totally worth visiting anytime you find yourself in Connecticut, and might even be worthy of a trip all on its own. read more

No kids! Hallelujah! I love this policy, thank you Two Roads for sticking to your guns and not caving. It's pretty sad that this brewery receives negative reviews because of a posted policy. Apparently, parenthood creates an inability to read carefully. My wife and I were making our annual trek from South PA to Newport, RI and we wanted to cross another brewery off our list. I'm glad we did. The building is spectacular! Great work repurposing an old factory. It's spacious and obviously a great deal of time and effort was put into restoring this great old building. They have a solid offering of many different styles of beer and offer flights if you want to try several. They were pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon but the staff was attentive and friendly. What an experience at Two Roads! But wait, that's how we feel every time we went there! We always love to try the pilot beer, this time we really liked the #27. What makes Two Roads different from other breweries are they have good stories behind and every beer has taste rather than flavor, and mildly sharing Two Roads character in a whole. Last Friday we happened to be there to have RoadJam (seasonal raspberry beer) before the summer is over, and guess what? We caught this outdoor movie night, "The Office"! This place is great. The beer is delicious. My favorite is Road to Ruin, their DIPA. Strong 9% but so good. The taproom is a nice size with two different places to order drinks. One is an actual full sized bar and the other is for filling growlers. Lots of seating on the inside. Large tables, benches and stand up room. Just people having an all around good time. There are different food trucks that come each day of the week which helps after drinking so much beer. I had the Indian food truck. It was just ok. Not sure if I would get it again though. I also did the brewery tour. I think it was worth the $5. Very informative and cool to see where the magic happens. You also get 5 tastes and 10% off merchandise for doing the tour. One of the busiest breweries I've ever been to. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was so crowded. It is really big inside and every table was full along with the bar. We managed to squeeze in to order some flights and then luckily found some standing room. They had a lot of beer on tap and also a big variety of beers to choose from. It seemed like there was something that everyone would like. My favorites here were the Saisons and fruity beers. The workers comp, which is a farmhouse ale, was really good. I also liked the cherry wheat beer and the plum gose. You can see the brewing room very clearly from where we were sitting. The tanks are huge! Although we didn't do one they offer tours and also have a little room where you can purchase some two roads merchandise. I had been wanting to come here for years and I was so excited when I'm my boyfriend took me for their Halloween event! The beers are really good. There is such a variety and I absolutely love the local aspect of it all. I do wish they would incorporate a few snacks, though I did see you could buy your own food and bring it in if you wanted which is cool. This place also rocks because you can play board games here with your friends. If you have a large group who wants to go out for a drink after work I would definitely recommend here! Who brings an infant/young child to a Brewery?! Overall the tap room experience was excellent. A beautiful space with friendly service. (Contradicting some of the other negative reviews that I read). Although I did not find my new favorite beer, I did taste several interesting varieties all of which had merit.
