What a great spot for a fun night out! The menu is extensive, with everything from appetizers and burgers to build-your-own personal pizzas and salads. The pizza with peppers, onions, and fried chicken was a standout. The fried cauliflower was surprisingly delicious (and that's coming from someone who normally isn't a fan). The cheese fries, made with beer cheese, were flavorful, and the fried mozzarella bites are a must if you're in the mood for something classic. The burger was okay. It came out a bit dry, and I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked. The bun also wasn't toasted, which would have made a big difference. One of the coolest parts about this place is the setup. There are multiple rooms, including a main dining area with a live band at night, an indoor patio with a big screen for games, and even a separate dance room with a DJ. We've been curious to visit Elicit for years and finally went to kick off our Memorial Day weekend. It was a little confusing when we first walked in since no one was at the host stand and it wasn't clear if we needed to wait to be seated, but we figured it out. Ordered a couple of the hot dog specials, a smash burger, wings, and pretzel sticks. The hot dogs, while creative, seemed to be a bit overcooked, possibly boiled and then left in a warmer for too long? The hot dogs themselves were a little discolored and more bland than we were expecting, and the pizza dough seemed a bit too large to serve as a bun for one special. Everything else was good for food, especially the smash burger and fries. My husband enjoyed his beers, and we thought the vibe was great. Appreciated the many different seating areas, and I'd love to sit in the beer garden with the train going by. Definitely a nice spot to watch the game or hang with friends. read more

a HUGE bar with an incredible amount of choices, fun stuff to do all over the place, TVs, food, massive brewing choices plus and this is unusual they allow other brewers to have select items there as well. Not sure I understand the business sense of it, but I appreciate adding to the selection. I suspect people go back and back and back and this is a way to keep the regulars always guessing what great new items will be on the menu between their own rotating taps and the other beer selections. Went here in a Friday night and this place is huge! One of the larger breweries I've ever been to. Such an open space with soo many different sections. Their beer option is huge too with well more 20 different kinds. The live music was also great! Was pretty disappointed by our experience visiting this bar. Traveled here for my nephew's college graduation with a big family group--wanted to get together here to celebrate with the graduate and our family and his friends. Two of us got here early and ordered and grabbed a table. Relatively crowded but spacious, and seemingly family friendly. We were talking to a party nearby who were there for a bar mitzvah with a lot of kids and teens. Unfortunately we got word that they wouldn't let in the rest of our party of 10-mostly grandparents and parents--because the grad's teenage brother was there (who was with his parents and who doesn't drink). I wouldn't mind, but there were already clearly underage folks there and an arbitrary "it's getting late" seemed random and unfair, and effectively broke up our evening. The beers we ordered before we had to leave were decent if unspectacular--a Hazy IPA and a stout. Large selection, big clear digital board with beer styles and ABVs clearly noted, which was nice. Ordering was a bit slow and chaotic--completely unclear if you are supposed to form a line or belly up to the bar--though I will say in fairness it was fairly crowded. Space is large, with a nice outdoor area--ample TVs, probably good for sports viewing. I guess graduation is a big weekend up there but the bouncers were a bit abrupt, acting more like they were running a hit NYC club rather than a cozy suburban brewery. First, this place isn't just only for adults, it really wasn't advertised that way, it's for adults and kids. Yes, there were babies in strollers to actual teenagers. It was really annoying because little kids were running everywhere and the bigger kids were roaming around in the establishment. Also two girls were filming a Tik Tok in the restroom. Second, the tables were nasty. There were a lot of tables that weren't wiped down, so there were food and spilled drinks from the last patrons left on the tables. None of the workers went around wiping and sanitizing the tables you had to clean it yourself. And there were little bugs flying around the because of the food that was left behind. In a picture I posted, there's a bug that land on my napkin because the tables were gross and I'm assuming that's what attracted the bugs. Also, the pretzels aren't bites as you see. Third, it was way too loud and I could hardly hear and talk to my boyfriend. Fourth, the menu is misleading. The QR code menu isn't the same as when you go order in person. I just wanted the Twisted Pretzels, where I get 4 pretzels for $12. My boyfriend ordered at the food stand Pretzel bites. When you think of bites, you think of them being small, like Auntie Anne's. He came back with 10 long big pretzels and it was $28. I didn't like that I paid over double for what I didn't finish. I only ate 3 1/2 because it was just too much. This is an amazing venue. Very large taproom with different types of seating. Lounge vibe in some areas, large communal table in other areas, and individual private booths with televisions. They have a large selection of their own beer and guest beers. Decent food menu with something for everyone. The place gives off a hip vibe. Live music began at 9:00 PM. We ate and stayed for the music and enjoyed the space. Our table had assorted apps: pretzels, pizza, wings, chicken pieces, Philly spring rolls. All were very good. I had the grilled chicken BLT, it was oversized and delicious, well seasoned on a nice brioche bun. Unique and interesting spot...great spot to catch a game with very large high def screen TVs and cool inside/outside structure and fire pits outside. I give the setting a 4 but the food doesn't quite match the promise - the Brew gets a 3 and food a 2 and it's all self serve. So I haven't been to this side of the state for sometime but I'm visiting family near by and saw this place last night when we drove by to go to the nearby train station / metro north / Fairfield metro stones throw away soon to be called Blackrock station off commerce drive in Fairfield CT. Ok so first look it's over the old Bullard hills heading from Fairfield towards Fairfield ave in Bridgeport. Back in the day this has been a high end pool hall facility and then a gym. Now it's elicit brewing they have over 20 home brews a large assortment of outside beers as well as ciders and a full bar. Have an awesome patio out back with like a 30 foot tall TV wall. It's really casual as it's a typical beer hall no service you go to the tap bar in far left and you order and you can then go get food which is pretty good selection of apps and full menu smash burgers / tacos / wings .. I was really surprised it's an awesome atmosphere awesome facility they did an amazing job renovating. I had a in house IPA that was fantastic l. I would without a doubt come back !! We recently returned for a comedy show that was ok. Some of the acts were pretty good at times. We ate here for the first time as well. I think we had the Rodeo Burger, egg rolls American burger and a salad. The online menu today is different from the one we saw last week or maybe my memory is different. So you might not see the same items as I just described. Whatever the reason, it doesn't matter. The real point is that the food was very good. I usually don't order the same thing on a return until I've tried quite a bit of the menu but I would order that rodeo burger again for sure! This is a huge new brewery in Fairfield. Parking is tough on a Friday or Saturday night. Luckily there is parking available at the train station and a pathway to the back of the brewery from there. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday night. The place was packed. We found a a table in the main brewery area. Went up to the bar and ordered a few IPAs. There were quite a few bartenders, so the wait wasn't long. I tried three different beers while there and all were excellent. On the other side of the room there is an area to order food. You stand in line to order and they give you a buzzer for when the food is ready. We had a bunch of appetizers and all were great. There was a live band that played. The sound is bad because of the acoustics in there. We ended up leaving because of that. When leaving they had already started charging to get in, which I believe starts at 9:00. I'm not sure what goes on a night, but it was a completely different crowd coming in. I'll go back on a Sunday afternoon to enjoy the beers and appetizers again. read more

Went to Elicit Brewing for the first time today with friends and I can say I am very pleasantly surprised at our experience. I have been to many breweries but not like this one. They had a huge dinning area with a large bar with all different taps. There were multiple outdoor rooms with tons of games for kids. They also had a separate area with a "movie theater" and a "speakeasy bar". The food was also delicious. For dessert we ordered the donuts and they were soooo good. Not at all as I expected when ordering food from a brewery. To top it off they had a company there doing permanent jewelry. Such a fun day. This is a huge and bright brewery which makes it perfect for large groups (outdoor patio in progress too!). It does fill up very quickly so plan accordingly as they do not take reservations. It is walking distance from the train station, making it so easy to visit whether it be for a game day or the djs on a weekend night. Can't choose from their wide variety of drafts? Get a flight to try them all. My favorite is Dueling Libations which is a sour ale and full of flavor. The service bar is large, making the lines move quickly for drinks. The bartenders were all energetic and nice. There is a separate place to order food. There are many delicious pub food options to snack on. My favorite was the steak and cheese egg rolls. Good beer list is the only good thing I can say about this place. The negatives are plenty: - there are oftentimes more little kids running around and screaming than there are adults. - there is no clear line to order beer. Just a mass of people who would like some direction on how to order, but nobody's there directing them. It's a mess. - the food isn't very good. - the acoustics are awful. Really nice visit. We went Saturday night at 5pm. It wasn't crowded. We easily found a nice table and headed to select some items on tap. The staff were friendly and very helpful getting us set up for a flight of beer. There's so many options! The none beer drinkers had some delicious cocktail options they enjoyed. The food was great and our wait was minimal. We loved the smash burgers. They were delicious! We also tried their sprouts and spuds which were yummy! We enjoyed the elicit rub ribs too. 1 Star As a first responder, I've never been more disrespected than I was at Elicit Brewing Co. My wife (22) and I were very excited to try this place for dinner--not to drink, just to eat--but they refused to let us in because I don't turn 21 until March (less than three months away). Nowhere on their website does it state this policy, and despite explaining the situation, they showed zero flexibility or respect. To make things worse, they don't answer their phone no matter when you call, and the hours listed on Google are completely incorrect. We were excited to support this business, but after this experience, we strongly encourage others to go somewhere else. This is no way to treat customers, especially someone who serves their community. read more

I really don't like when people give poor reviews to a place that just opened up. Give them some time to work out the kinks then give a review... That said, I love Elicit. The set up is really cool, with a litany of seating options. There is the main part of the place that has tunes of tables and booths, a giant room with a huge projector TV set up with natural light where families seem to go and have kids run around (which isn't an issue; parents drink beer too), a billards room with 4 tables, and a "speakeasy" type setup that isn't quite ready to but I can see the vision. There are tons of beer, both brewed by Elicit and other places. They also have the full assortment of wine, liquor, seltzer's etc, so everyone is happy! The food is very good, albeit it a little overpriced. We got a few apps and mains and they all tasted great, just wish everything was $2-3 cheaper than they were. Minor complaint. It seems like they are working for an outdoor setup as well for the summer, which I know I'll be using. Top marks for this welcomed addition to Fairfield! read more
