I've been eyeing for this food truck at food events for their crab tots. What's better than tater tots topped with crabmeat and dressed in obay seasoning? I had it again when they came to our neighborhood pool for raft night. And this time around, the crab tots weren't as special as I remembered from the past. Food wise, we had their crab tots, kids tots and chicken tenders, buffalo chicken wrap, and buffalo chicken salad. All of the food was ok. I think the kids tots and chicken tenders were my favorite. The salad had too much dressing that the vegetables were swimming in sauce. The crab tots were almost best without crab and seasoning. Great food for pool/raft night. The food truck came to our office today for the firs time. I ordered their chicken wings, which the menu says comes with your choice of sauce. I was not given any choices, and about thirty seconds later, one of the two smooth dudes handed me a tray with three burned chicken tenders and a side of plain tots, with two packets of ketchup and a cup of the crappy honey mustard you can get at 7-11. Me: "Sir, I ordered wings..." Smooth Dude #1: "We're out of wings." Me: "Ok, I guess..aren't they tossed in buffalo sauce or something?" Smooth Dude #1: "We're out of buffalo sauce." Me: "Hmmm..." Smooth Dude #2: "I can give you barbecue sauce" Me: "Ok..." (hands back tray of food so the tenders can be tossed in barbecue sauce) Smooth Dude #2: (Hands me back same exact tray of food with a small cup of barbecue sauce placed on top) Smooth Dude #1: "That'll be $12.84." I tried Two Smooth Dudes at the DC beer fest! I love the vibe of food trucks and was super excited to try the food. I only ended up getting the loaded tots. They were yummy but the cheese was a little spicy for my taste! They get 4 stars from me because the tots really were LOADED. my son and I ordered chicken tenders and tater tots. can't go wrong with that, right? wrong. they were beyond horrible and super expensive. even a 6 year old kid wouldn't eat it. we ended up throwing both plates away. the chicken tenders were like spongey and chewy in a weird way and the tater tots were as hard as rocks and burnt. chewing them actually hurt my jaw. I asked for sauce for the tenders. they told me there was ketchup in the bag. I actually thought he was joking with me. I said "I want a sauce for the tenders." he repeated there was ketchup in the bag. I realized he was serious, and I said "no, I don't want ketchup on chicken tenders... Fantastic food truck food!!! I tried these guys last year at the Virginia Wine Festival and was SO excited to see they were at Farm Brewery today! They now serve load baked potato tots! This food truck review comes with a grain of salt since I only tried one dish here, the Buffalo Chicken Tots. I tried this food truck while at the Bull Run Winery! The man who was running the truck/who helped us was friendly and nice, I just wasn't super impressed with the food. The tots tasted pretty similar to the frozen grocery store tater tots that you pop in the oven, and the 'buffalo' sauce on the chicken tasted just like it was literally Frank's Red Hot on some chicken and tater tots, it didn't taste like actual buffalo sauce. The ranch and blue cheese dressings also tasted like store bought salad dressing and I just wasn't very impressed, especially for the price; I'd be interested to see if any of their other offerings are better. read more

I tried the garlic parm and loaded tots from two smooth dudes at a local brewery. I saw one review that said it reminded them of a school cafeteria, well, that is correct. They might have been the worst tots I've ever had. To add insult, they were $12 each. The portions were dismally small. For that price, I thought I would be getting a very large basket, but no, there were literally 12 tiny tots with barely any toppings. That's $1 per tot. The value of these are at most $3 for the serving you get. Can't believe they stay in business and that anyone would give these above a 1 or 2 rating. read more

Their food truck came to our complex last night and it was very impressive. We got two Buffalo wraps that were full and very tasty. We also got a Almond and Raspberry salad that was fresh and very filling. The best part were the crabmeat tots....they were an unexpected item. Save your money! The food is ok, a 3/5, but I dropped the rating down to 2/5 due to the price. My husband and I got the Buffalo Chicken and Maryland Crab Meat tots for $12 EACH! I was expecting a decent sized portion, but all we got were little trays. I didn't' have to taste the food to immediately know that the tots weren't worth the price. For $12 per tot order, I suggest you take your money elsewhere; where you'll get better tasting food and better portions. read more

Went to Loudoun Brewing Co. today with the expectation of having delicious tots with amazing beer. Got 1 of the 2..... the amazing beer. Food truck was serving FRIES and NO TOTS! Heard their supplier didn't have any tots. Pretty sure Costco, Wegmans, Giant, Aldi, Whole Foods, etc... had some. Didn't bother getting anything after hearing other people complain their fries were frozen and the toppings weren't that great. Total bust. read more

The menu seems to be concocted from food they may have been able to cook in a toaster oven and keep frozen in a mini fridge in their dorm room or worst yet Mom's basement. Frozen tator tots topped with stuff that might be good on them. The small menu limits selection, especially at lunchtime. If your in need of something to calm a weed induced munchie high at 3 A.M. and there's nothing else around, then maybe ok. Sorry Dudes, this menu is a loser. I was very hopeful about this food truck I'm a big tator tot fan however the cook was so rude, my only request was to have cheese on the side and he was very rude and cut me off wouldn't offer any suggestions just basically said no I can't put cheese on the side, I even ask to have cheese on half the tots and he wouldn't listen to my suggestion. This was a very negative experience hopefully they work on their customer service. I'm vegan and was trying to split an order with my friend and I was trying to accommodate to everyone and he was not willing to merely put the cheese on half of the tator tots. The food is disgusting. The oil is probably pretty old. The chicken must come from a can. The sauce on the chicken must be mixed with the water from canned chicken. It was so nasty. It's not worth a penny. Do not eat from this truck. Very dirty and rude people too. I don't know how they are in business. A health inspector needs to check them out.
