I've dined here numerous times throughout the years. Some as a college student years ago and most recently when traveling for work. The steak is always solid, every time I order the steak I am impressed. Some of the most delicious Keylime pie. Great views of the lake and options to sit outside if the weather permits. Two45 Waterfront Grille fails to impress... Accidental reservation on my part! My parents and sister live in Erie and I visited recently and I had lunch nearby and it was great. I didn't think too much into the reservation but when I showed up it was definitely not the place I recall (now known as Pier 6) but I recall looking at photos that it would be worth checking it out. We were promptly seated and greeted by the waitress. The lunch menu is brief with a few items in each section of Apps, salads, sandwiches and plates. We opted for the calamari as we heard it was a good app to start with. At the same time we ordered drinks which consisted of coffee, Expresso martini and the aperol spritz. The calamari came out and it was a good amount. However, they were very small and it was dry. We got the perch sandwich and it came out with an enormous amount of shoe string fries which imo are the worse type as they are typically over fried and so were these. Frying a good filet of fish is usually a bad idea and this sandwich would be better served to be grilled when your fries are fried and the calamari is fried too. Service was slow for being an empty restaurant. Note: we had a 4 year old with us and the key is to always rush their food asap so they stay content. Since we waited a bunch of time, we had some ancy people at the table after 1 hour 45 minute lunch where the room was essentially empty. Stopped in on a Saturday night around 9:45 PM. Great service, even though the food took a little long. I suggest making a reservation, as we had one and still had to wait a bit. Out of all the fine dining experiences I've had in Erie so far, this would be at the top... food wise and view wise. It's beautiful to sit outside and have the view of the bicentennial tower right next to the water! Now for the dish details! -Buffalo cauliflower was nothing special, your standard Buffalo cauliflower with a side of ranch... great to share for the table. The Roasted Organic Chicken was so juicy and tender, it fell right off the bone. Mashed potatoes and green beans paired perfectly. One of my favorites! -The heirloom tomato salad was a 7/10... I think the tomato wedges needed to be smaller pieces. This salad had the best croutons I've ever had! French onion soup was also a standout for me... definitely recommend! -Lastly Walleye Fish & chips: I think they could've included a bit more fish (it was three tenders), tasted good tho...7/10 as well! The burger and fries were great. 5 stars for the burnt ends. The tartar sauce that came with the fish had a weird taste to it but the fish itself was fine. The staff here are very nice (the young lady working most days was just so sweet!) and attentive at breakfast time. I felt the bar was very understaffed every evening and that led to poor service but the drinks were still good- so that feels like more of a management problem than anything else. The bottom line: Solid hotel restaurant, frankly it could hold it's own even outside of a hotel. While staying at the Sheridan I stopped at Two45 in hopes of getting some dessert to bring up to the room. The hostess was able to auickly bring me a menu. I was surprised by the variety of the selections. lots to choose from! I decided to order a key lime pie to go with The hostess placed the order and I waited. And waited. And waited some more. While I was waiting I noticed that the dining room is small but comfortable and modern. Every seat had a beautiful view of the lake. Really nice. Also right outside of the restaurant is a bar, and rumor has it you can get service in the bar from the restaurant, and that seating is first come first serve, unlike the restaurant which fills quickly with reservations. Finally, after a bizarrely long time to receive my order of pie (15 min)- I am handed my pie. I charge it to the room (convenient). The pie was a good size. I was a little annoyed by how long it took to cut a piece of pie and ring it up, but when I got to my room I realized this key lime is a bit different. They use a marshmallow topping which they toast, so probably it had to fall in queue for preparation, which I now understand the reason why it took so long to get. Not as simple as cutting it. Unforgettable Experience at 245 Waterfront Grill and the Sheraton Hotel I had the pleasure of staying at the Sheraton Hotel and dining at 245 Waterfront Grill, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is just amazing--great location, excellent service, and such a welcoming atmosphere. I absolutely loved it! As for the restaurant, I wish I had saved the name of our server--she was such a lovely person who made the dining experience truly unforgettable. Her warm, sunny personality and outstanding service left a lasting impression. (Unfortunately I lost a card with her name) The food was absolutely amazing! Every meal we had was so delicious that we never even thought about looking for another place to eat during our stay. I can't recommend both the Sheraton Hotel and 245 Waterfront Grill enough. The bar is also amazing, the best espresso martini in Erie. Everything at the Sheraton is better than the Marriott tbh. If you're visiting Erie (or live there!), Two45 Waterfront Grille is a must! My friends and I ended our girls weekend here and it was so delicious. We made reservations, which in my opinion, is always a perk! We all ordered great cocktails and some delicious appetizers - buffalo cauliflower and crab croquettes. For my main dish, I ordered spicy shrimp pasta. I really enjoyed it! Our waiter was great and explained to us why this waterfront grille was named Two45, after the Navy's victory in the Battle of Lake Erie. This salmon was delicious and moist. It was topped with a delightful tangy tomato salsa, which quite enhanced the flavor of the fish. I loved the broccolini. It was savoury and complimented the salmon well, along with the creamy brown rice mixture. I enjoyed the buffalo cauliflower. The flavor was perfect, however, I found the breading to be a little too heavy. I would have enjoyed it more if the buffalo was on the cauliflower itself too instead of coating only the breading. As for the clam chowder, it made me feel like home. It was so creamy. There were actual chuncks of clam, which made my soul so happy. I would recommend this soup as a wonderful cold, fall day soup. There were potatoes and bacon along with an assortment of other finely chopped veggies in there that uplifted the creamy to a whole new level. The iceberg wedge salad topped with a sweet, smoky, and thick piece of bacon was fresh and light. I liked how much the bacon added to the salad and contrasted the greens and blue cheese. I only wished there was more blue cheese (but I'm a big blue cheese fan.) I would definitely get it again. Concerning the ambiance, the dining area was decked in a delicate dance of blue and gold, with bulbous chandeliers, plants, and a beautiful, clear view of the water. It created a soft, nautical atmosphere with class. My server was named Jace. Despite my party coming 30 minutes prior to close, she was extremely kind and accommodating and was willing to answer my questions about the food too. She was great. I recommend this place as a quietly, pleasant brunch with yummy food and a classy ambiance. read more

My friends and I visited Erie this weekend for a girls trip away from Pittsburgh. We heard from a local that this was new and had to try it. We made a reservation and sat near the window which has a really nice view of the lake-the outside seating is the perfect atmosphere! Staff was friendly but pretty slow. We ordered the cauliflower bites and crab appetizer...delicious! We got a few cocktails that tasted very fresh as well. My mule was so good. For dinner my friends got the salmon and spicy shrimp pasta, as I got the truffle pasta-of course we all tried each others meals and they were all 10/10. What a gem we discovered! My husband & I have both traveled extensively for our jobs and eaten in many a "hotel restaurant." So we expected decent, but not noteworthy, meals here. We were more than pleasantly surprised! Every part of our experience was fantastic! The service provided by CELIA was absolutely the best! She was attentive, without being overly so, efficient, and friendly. We simply don't encounter that level of care anymore. The calamari was to die for with breading so delicate and light that it practically melts in the mouth. The wedge salad - with a veritable plank of thick bacon and generous gorgonzola chunks - was enough to fill us up. And we still had our main course coming - spicy shrimp pasta, which was quite good but not actually "spicy." Overall, we left feeling satisfied and happy to have discovered a lovely place to return. Went here with family for dinner. Multiple members of the party ordered the pork chop. The pork chop was absolutely delicious - best pork chop I've ever had. Other members of my party agreed. My wife ordered the grouper and really enjoyed it as well. Mother in law ordered the spicy shrimp pasta. The pasta sauce had a subtle spicy flavor and shrimp was cooked to perfection. We also ordered the calamari and crab croquettes as appetizers. This restaurant is infinitely better than Olivers Rooftop, which is another upscale restaurant right down the road. I was in there the other night and witnessed a worker being extremely rude and demeaning to the hostess. I overheard someone referred to her as Christina, but I may have heard the name wrong. regardless the disgusting behavior towards the hostess was unacceptable and made me want to leave immediately. Waterfront grill needs to make sure that the workers don't demean other workers. My heart broke for this young hostess and I will never be coming back. Embarrassing. read more

The restaurant is a small Location in the back area lobby of the Sheraton. It has a nice view and every table technically has a view of the lake. The menu has options for everyone. The manager was brought in for a tdy from Richmond and she was excellent. She stepped up cleaning tables and assisting the staff. The wedge salad was the best we have ever had and we loved the bacon! I had the fish and chips and it was average. We also had the pasta with chicken and it was ok. The service was not the best but it is tough to hire skilled staff. We went there for breakfast the next morning. The food presentation was very nice but the service was too slow and long. We shouldn't wait 30 minutes for pancakes when there were only a few tables. The omelet was very good and the pancakes were fluffy and fresh. The lemon syrup was amazing!! Hopefully this place will find some wait staff and cooks to keep them a float. read more

Have not been to the Sheraton restaurant in many years due to it being terribly overpriced and subpar food. BUT NO LONGER! Whatever they've done recently has been a huge upgrade. We ended up there not due to my choosing but was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the decor comfortable, but the food was as good, if not better than any other place in town. The pork chop was perfect. The prices are typically Erie overpriced but at least here, you don't feel like you threw the money away like at other premium restaurants locally. Was so good, we went back again that week and sent friends over there. Service was hit and miss depending on who you got. Will go back. Recommended . read more

The only reason I give this a 3 star review is because server really tried to fix an issue. It was my first time I have sent an order back. We ordered New York strip and truffled bucatini w chicken. New York strip was really good, but truffled bucatini was extremely salty. I mean I felt like I was eating noodles out of an ocean. My mouth burned from the amount of salt it had. We requested to switch it to noodles without any cheese. A remade plate was brought out and as it turns out it was still extremely salty. I'm assuming the water was over salted in which they cooked noodles. Server was really nice to switch noodles out for potatoes. Then it tasted really good. After he said he can bring out some ice cream as the kitchen is already closed. We weren't charged for truffled bucatini which was nice as I couldn't eat it. Place looks really fancy inside. Since we went here for dinner, we couldn't see outside view. Would highly suggest to come here while the sun is out. read more

Apparently they just opened a few days ago. I never went when it was the Bayfront Grill so I can't compare the two. But Two45 is a nice spot. Cool vibe and atmosphere. Great inside and outdoor seating spots. Our order took a little longer to arrive than expected, but the food was delicious! I had the Truffled Bucatini and savored every bite! I intentionally slowed myself down so I wouldn't eat it all too fast. After dinner a nice stroll on the waterfront made for a perfect evening. read more

Plan to spend your whole evening here because the kitchen is very, very slow. Our server was great and made us feel at home. We were guests at the hotel so it wasn't a big deal to wait a long time for our meal. For appetizers we ordered: meatballs (6/10 rating) burnt ends (5/10) Walleye fish fry was (7/10) Grouper was (9/10) and Key lime pie was (11/10) I would come back for dessert!
