Food. Service. Ambience. You can go wrong with the food. This is a great breakfast place. In Erie for years!

    Polish Breakfast

We have breakfast here every-time we visit Erie. The Polish breakfast kielbasa is the bomb! The restaurant is clean and the service is quick and friendly!

We came here for breakfast while in the area. It was around 10 am on a Sunday and we waited a little outside before a table was ready. The flavored creamers had our table wanting to order coffee even though they had coffee earlier. Nice touch to get people wanting to try it. The breakfast is very standard fare. I opted for eggs, hash browns, and raisin toast. Fairly basic and got the job done. Service was attentive and food came out quickly. We enjoyed our meals

Just your average breakfast joint with great food and nice people. Pros: it is hard to mess up breakfast food, but also hard to make your breakfast good stand out. Avanti's succeeds. Great staff, and decent coffee, and gigantic portions. Cons: I tried their monster bowl, loaded with peppers and onions, scrambled eggs, Italian sausage, and sausage gravy over biscuits. Holy cow it was huge. There were so many different flavors they literally overpowered each other making a mess of my taste buds! Summary: next time I will stick to the sausage gravy and biscuits, that was delicious.

Perfect breakfast place! We enjoyed the Italian breakfast and a polish breakfast- both very good. Coffee hit the spot, too. Fast friendly service. Thank you Anna Evie!

I've passed this restaurant for years, thinking it was an Italian restaurant from the name. After all those years, I decided to actually look into the restaurant and saw it was a breakfast spot! With that I decided to go on a busy Saturday morning. The service was extremely fast. I got a ham and cheese omelette with hashbrowns and toast and it was very good. If I had to say anything about it I didn't like that the ham was really big chunks and not smaller. It did hit the spot though. I also had a bite of the pancakes and they were super fluffy and excellent as well. Overall, I think this is a nice local breakfast spot if you're looking for some classic american breakfast.

Great breakfast! Small place, but we were seated right away and service was great. Loved the waffle breakfast sandwich.

Good food, friendly people. The hours are a little screwy. There is 2 sections and it's very clean.

Two45 Waterfront Grille fails to impress…read more.. Accidental reservation on my part! My parents and sister live in Erie and I visited recently and I had lunch nearby and it was great. I didn't think too much into the reservation but when I showed up it was definitely not the place I recall (now known as Pier 6) but I recall looking at photos that it would be worth checking it out. We were promptly seated and greeted by the waitress. The lunch menu is brief with a few items in each section of Apps, salads, sandwiches and plates. We opted for the calamari as we heard it was a good app to start with. At the same time we ordered drinks which consisted of coffee, Expresso martini and the aperol spritz. The calamari came out and it was a good amount. However, they were very small and it was dry. We got the perch sandwich and it came out with an enormous amount of shoe string fries which imo are the worse type as they are typically over fried and so were these. Frying a good filet of fish is usually a bad idea and this sandwich would be better served to be grilled when your fries are fried and the calamari is fried too. Service was slow for being an empty restaurant. Note: we had a 4 year old with us and the key is to always rush their food asap so they stay content. Since we waited a bunch of time, we had some ancy people at the table after 1 hour 45 minute lunch where the room was essentially empty. Much improvement can be had otherwise spend your dollars at Pier 6 for a much better experience.

The smells of smoke and beer and short-order cooking...the sounds of mindless sports shows on the TV - even the Price is Right makes for good watching...the murmur of the type of chatter that seems so important at the time...I miss all of these things so much, but I'm here to tell you, That Place on 26th St still has it all and they deliver both barrels! The place was PACKED, so I didn't try to get lunch yesterday, but I'll be heading back very soon cause the reason the place was PACKED was the food they were serving - the day's special was stromboli and one after another came in and ordered one or two or three, some stayed and ate, some left with their orders, but the flow never even slowed! Yes, smoking is permitted, but so what? If that bothers you, you're probably better off in a safe little corporate "pub". THIS is a REAL tavern and they are worth more than a try. Stop in, grab some beers and a bite and enjoy all the memories they bring up!
