Bike shops are driven by bottom lines. Most bike shops are there to sell you bikes or gear. They offer you sales and bike fits hoping you roll out with a nice shiney new bike and a few dollars lighter. But what is TwoHub's bottom line? I was looking for a new bike, but wasn't quite sure what I wanted. I ruled out Trek, Specialized, Cervelo and Pinarello. I called TwoHubs and chatted with Chary about Factor. They said they had more than Factor bikes. They had Bianchi, Wilier, Orbeas, Factor, Cipollini and yes, Pinarelos. Probably a whole lot more. They got some really high quality stuff. So it was worth a stop in their shop. My gosh, am I glad I went. Their shop was filled with all the coolest bike builds on display. They had some of the coolest wheels on the walls. They got vintage Colnago and Bianchi frames built up. This wasn't a bicycle wholesale shop. It was a custom, built it according to the customer, kind of shop. I got a chance to chat with Chary, and was he fun to chat with. He's got all the insights, know-hows and latest news. He's got all the tips and advice to help you build a super cool bike. Chary is here to work with you on your dream build. Over the next few months, I worked with Chary on a bike build. There were a few hiccups along the way but nothing that the shop wasn't ready to address with the manufacturers/distributors.  One thing became very obvious at this point. THCB is a fraudulent bike shop using parts off trade in bicycles and putting them on new bike frames, passing off the entire bike as new. I ended up with a mixed group set. I also ended up with a second hand wheel set that were damaged and 4 years old with 9 year old hubs and spokes. All passed off as new with full warranty and no receipts. When I tried to Rectify with shop owner Mani Motamed, I was thrown out of the shop. Stay away from this shop as they play with cyclists lives. It is not worth it. read more

No other shop near me could do what I thought was a simple job (converting madfiber wheels from shimano to campy)... luckily for me this was a walk in the park for them, and they did it with great customer service. Extremely disrespectful toward customer. I had friends from cycling contacting them via emailed to buy wheelsets upon agree to have us come in to purchase they didn't returned our VM nor care give any one of us back. Finally one our friend able speak with another rep not Miles who promised us a deal. This guy who claimed be manager there think Hispanics guy Killed Sale period refuse honor ya the deal per our agreement with Miles! I had a mechanical issue on a ride that I couldn't fix myself and a quick Google search pointed me to the nearest shop - Two Hubs. So glad it did, as the staff at Two Hubs were friendly, knowledgeable, and fixed the problem quickly and at no charge. I didn't have time to stay and check out the full selection there, but a quick walk-through made me want to come back for more. It's like a well-curated museum of high-end cycling gear. I just picked up my 2nd Felt mountain bike from these guys and they are great at what they do. they not only assemble the bike, but can get it dialed in just right for your style of riding. You really get the personal touch here and every serious rider should consider either buying or consulting with these guys before their next bike purchase. read more

Wow! Mani and THCB go way above and beyond for me every time. It's been a trying year for me with my bike. My ti frame cracked and had to be repaired. Mani took excellent care of me - helping me to get it shipped back, repaired, and put back together so it felt just like it did before the repair. They excel on the day to day stuff too - helping me find new gear, fine tuning my ride, recommending new products, or just as a place to hang out and talk bikes. I appreciate there are good reviews and i might have been unlucky. That said my experience was terrible. I bought a few very expensive components online adding to several thousand dollars. Despite this, they never answered my email asking specific installation questions, were short on the phone, and took many days before even dispatching the items. Also they were quite arrogant to the effect of "we sell high end stuff all the time, we cant spend time answering queries; we are busy". Now, it might have been different in the shop, but online not only is everything over-priced (other than the odd offer) but the service is really out of line with the sky high prices. I will never deal with this shop again, not even for the special offer items. Extremely disappointing. I had enough. read more

The best boutique bike shop I have ever been in - worth the trip just to see it. The owners will treat you like gold. As for Craig H giving them a one star negative review - SERIOUSLY - the guy says he "sent a client over to pick up a part..." This means he is in the business of building bikes and is therefore a competitor of TwoHubs. Obviously one with no class On top of that he can't even complete the build himself (cause he doesn't have the part), perhaps he is the one that should have the one star as a review of his prowess. Ordered a Revolution trainer from their website. The model with cassette (which I ordered) was backordered so they put a new 105 cassette (same as it would have come with) on a non-cassete model and sent it out. I got it in a couple of days, no hassle. These guys are on top of it...although the website could show some real time inventory info (can't tell if something is in stock or not right now). read more

I took my Gold C60 into their shop a few weeks ago for assembly. Was going to have the bicycle built up with Campagnolo EPS V3. Unfortunately, Campy has been having some distribution issues so they had to build it with my existing V2. I had them install some Weight Weenie parts which can sometimes be a little difficult to set up...especially the brakes. I took the bike home today and could not be happier! Anthony did the work and could not have done a nicer job!!! I am very picky about my tape work, handlebar wrapping and cable routing. All I can say is the work is fantastic. I saw a prior post complaining that they charge too much for their parts. I certainly did not find that to be the case. I examined the itemized bill and was charged no more than any other shop (MSRP or Less). Overall bill was less than I expected. They even gave me a few small parts I was missing at no charge. thanks guys!!!! read more

Found this shop in an online search and thought I would stop by to check it out. What I found was not much of a retail outlet, they are designed for mostly online purchases. And what else I found were 2 of the nicest, most straight forward guys in the business. Monty (spelling?) and Chuck were nice enough to spend about 30 minutes speaking with me all about bikes, their business and so on. Some incredible bikes were to be found on the floor and on the workstand. I visit quite a few shops in the So. Cal. area and have written reviews for various publications, blogs, etc. These guys were a breath of fresh air! Not interested in selling me (I'm actually in the market for a new Tri bike), but more interested in finding out what my needs, goals and ideas were relative to cycling. And they know what they are talking about. I plan on a possible formal interview with them in the near future and submit a complete review/interview with them as they were kind enough to give me some of their time. If you are looking for quality and looking for some straight answers, go see these guys! read more
