I always stop at Woody's when in Centerville, but it is frequently crowded, so I opted to try Texas Burger. Yum! True to their title, they specialize in burgers -- in many different "configurations." I choose a patty melt, which was juicy and tasty. There were no chips or sides, just the patty melt. It was $6.39. Service was quick. The restaurant offers some covered outdoor seating out front. There is plenty of parking around back, and there is drive-through take-out, also. The staff were all wearing masks and very diligent about cleaning the tables, chairs, and floors. As soon as someone left, they were on it! Hand sanitizer stations were situated throughout the restaurant. One thing I would like to see is picnic tables out back behind the restaurant so one could eat out back, away from the noise and traffic. Some picnic tables with umbrellas would be ideal. I enjoyed my lunch here. I did not see any vegetarian options, but there is a Subway inside, also, that makes vegetarian subs, so something for everyone. read more

We wanted to give it try. Definitely won't be back. There were 3 of us and all 3 of us tried one French fry before throwing them away. The burger was ok but not worth getting ever again. The lady at the counter was wearing a mask not covering her nose and kept moving her mask around with her gloved hands. Very unappetizing. None of us ate more than half of the burger. I have seen this place and we never stopped. Today we made a point to stop. My daughter ate the entire kids burger , my husband thought it was a good plain hamburger . He did not add anything to it. We've visited here two times in the past two weeks. Its located in Centerville and in a great location (midpoint to Dallas, TX) Right next door to famous Woody's Smokehouse. There is a Subway in the same building. The restrooms are spacios and clean. Super friendly staff. They serve breakfast ALL day. The pancakes look amazing. The burgers are made to order. The wrap was really good. Would order again. Seasoned and regular fries are so good. This is our new stop. read more

I recently worked in the Centerville area and stopped here for a burger one evening. The burgers here are frozen patties fried on a grill. All the toppings were fresh, and the burger was constructed neatly and half wrapped in paper. It's nothing great by any means, but I prefer a burger here to one of the big name chains. The fries were crispy, they seem to be of the coated variety. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you when ready. Not much choice foodwise in this small town. read more

We went in for the Subway, but then noticed the Subway was just one part of this bigger burger and bluebell ice cream joint. What a pleasant surprise, so we decided to try their burgers and found each piece of them fresh and fun. Their staff are super kind, offering to replace our sons corn dog since it was over cooked. Not a big fan of this place at all. The bathrooms are pretty gross and there really is nothing special about the hamburger. I do like that you can add things to it like grilled onions, jalapenos, etc, but the patty itself is overcooked and thin. The fries are a winner though! read more

What a Letdown!!! Mushroom and Swiss burger, I added an extra 1/4lb patty, added avocado, "Texas sized" the meal which means a large drink and a large fry. It was over $14, and a waste of my time and money. I ordered the meal to-go, it took forever. Fries weren't bad, but they were kind of soggy. The burger was bland, and my patties were extremely overcooked. I mean these things were ridiculous! If I wasn't already on the road to Houston, I would have turned back around and got my money back... First and Last time to come here. I wanted to rate this 4 stars but our burger patties were dry and burnt. I generally like well done when asked but this is how the patties were presented. The toppings were generous and fresh. Fries were plentiful and had a great flavor. Service was good. The menu board at the ordering station printing was small and difficult to read. I was on a long road trip and decided to stop for dinner... I'm sorry I did because this burger was gross. The bun had been fried in an excessive amount of butter and was covered in grease. I ended up eating the inside of the burger without the bun, which was just overwhelmed with the taste of mustard that they put on it. The fries were a weird coated style and were very limp. I threw away most of my meal :( Also the restaurant was extremely cold inside, to the point that I was shivering. And this was during the summer. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I was on my long journey from Houston to Wichita Falls and was running on empty in my tummy AND gas tank. I usually stop at the local Sonic, but decided to give Texas Burger a try and I am SO glad that I did! I ended up getting the "double meat-double cheese" burger that was absolutely FANTASTIC! It tasted like it was home-cooked, was humongous and had fresh veggies on top! The french fries were better than any I have ever had. They were seasoned to perfection and obviously made from fresh potatoes! My ONLY complaint is that I literally waited in line for 10 minutes. The woman who began helping me told me that she would re-fill my drink as much as I needed while I waited in line. She was a real treat! I will definitely go back to this Texas Burger. I understand that Covid effects many places right now. I have been working In the service industry through this entire pandemic. However, I stopped here this evening and ordered one burger in the drive thru line. There was one car in front of me. And I waited for over 20 mins after paying and still did not receive my order. I eventually left and just called for a refund. If you have wait times in your drive Thru that are over 20 mins, either close the drive thru or the indoor area to meet your staffing and customer needs. This was a huge waste of time. read more

The bad reviews must be based on an earlier restaurant because my experience was excellent. I went with the grilled chicken sandwich without mayoand enjoyed the best grilled chicken at a fast food place I've had in a very long time. Even without the mayo it was juicy and flavorful. I also have to say that the wheat bun was excellent. The onion rings were good and I was really happy with the overall quality of the food and the price which was about $8.50. My husband and I dropped in hoping for a quick, as advertised "fast food" experience since it was 6:00pm and we had another couple of hours to drive. There were only 2 tables who were in the restaurant, one who had already finished their meal and the other who placed their order before we did. We placed our order at 6:11pm, when we left it was 6:28... this is after we had to ask them to bag our "To Go" order to the point where we almost went behind the counter ourselves to sack it up. In the midst of all this, a lady and her kids came in to order one fry. They saw the amount of fries made and just sitting there that after a while asked for a refund because there was just no excuse on why they were having to wait. Also, to top it off, my husband took a bite out of his burger and found a long strand of hair!! So disgusting!! We won't be back. Food and atmosphere is great, but the service is slow, even when there are few people dining inside, like during our visit. They serve Blue Bell ice cream with a different cash register, and they also have a Subway inside, so if you're just looking for desert, or want to eat a little a little lighter, this one stop works for most. We went to Tx. Burger. They messed up half of my family's orders. One burger took 3 attempts to get it right. It doesn't seem that confusing to make a burger with meat, cheese and bacon only, but dang if we didn't stump everyone working there with that request. Then, when I went to pick up the burger from the counter, I saw an employee in the kitchen where the burgers were being made eating with his hands while he made the food.
