It was a perfect day, lots of pumpkins left despite being a few weeks out from Halloween. The store had lots of homemade goods, including this pear-flavored candle that was absolutely delicious and not too strong. They had lots of little pumpkins for decorations that were a good price. They sold baked potatoes with horseradish and corn on the cob that were SOOOO fresh and tasty. The baked potato just melted in your mouth and it warmed my soul. Very cute place, lots of picnic tables, a big truck of pumpkins to take pictures with... This place helped make autumn solidify as my favorite season. It's not too crowded and maybe not the best for kids though.

They speak of small esoteric farming, canning, baking and shelving for the passers by, for the community that have come here. Well, I'm not only a bit put off by that assumption that I hold dear and entered Schmitts with, but I've lost my grip and spilled my tea. As to not point the dirty end of the tomatoe stake at this one establishment, I'll open with a broad brush stroke to encapsulate east end Long Island road side merchants. "Y'all are a royal rip". Where in the world are you getting pricing from? A loaf of focchia and some cookies was $34.00 and the good girlfriend just glanced towards me as if to say "please don't say anything ". The first potential comment would have been to smile, perhaps an eye roll and follow with a "thank you but no thank you" Second potential comment which almost landed was "crooks, bag my sh*t, I'm never coming back again". Which is exactly what I've decided to do, but I knew it was coming in the periphery. Poorly tagged items, seeking the Local catch work too hard inside and out just in perfect time for seasonal shoppers to hear the spiders lullaby. I'm sure Schmitt could give a rats batookas of my opinions here, they're shoveling money out the back door and into their extra homes and boats and all the big boys toys. It's a memory that is not easy to digest, as the inside customer service was MTA-esq as it relates to sincerity.

Located in a beautiful barn is their wonderful winery where they offer wine tastings with plenty of seating for large parties. They also have cider, which was quite tasty. We had a large group and this was the perfect spot to host us all so we could sit together and relax. This would be a spectacular venue for an event... specifically a wedding. We would highly recommend stopping in here if you are in the area. There's also a cool farm with animals for the littles, or any animal lovers, and a farm stand with fresh local fruits, veggies and cider donuts (during the fall). Lentz_explore

" Wine Flights" We enjoyed the wine inside their wine barn. This early 1900's barn is now an air conditioned wine sampling wine barn. We paired our wine with a yummy charcuterie board. The bartender knew everything about the wines we sampled, and about the history of the Harbes family farm. After enjoying the wine, we headed out to pet the farm animals. Yes they have 2 Highland Cows. The baby goats were our favorite! Then MJ got lost in the Hedge Maze lol, see video below. We enjoyed roasted corn on the cob and some fresh lemonade. Overall a great time

Swooping into the parking lot to glance at the rows of tables, saw a half a dozen varieties of Heirloom tomatoes. Can't resist over sized, fresh heirloom tomatoes. They grow them and also the eggplant and cucumbers the clerk said. Some other items are locally grown for convenience as most farm stands share product to create a better shopping experience. It works. Saw some nice local potato chips, saw fruit and even pies. Went with what they grow to check them out, and some local green lettuce, super fresh that can't be beat.

I look forward to going for a fall pumpkin picking trip. they have a large selection of pumpkins, including the white pumpkins which are my favorite. I look forward to their delicious roasted corn and huge mums! last year I also went to a "decorate your own " wreath session they had at Christmastime and they let me decorate a grave blanket instead for my moms grave. very nice people.

We bought the ticket for their big slide and our kiddo had a blast riding it a bunch of times. The staff there's were really nice. We got to hang out with all the animals and that was the best because there was literally no other person at the farm, at that time. They have hand washing stations, decent bathrooms, tons of things that kids can jump on, ride and play with. It's so nice and I definitely want to come back. We payed on the go-carts and they also have huge bouncy pillows and a big corn playpen for the kiddies that love sensory play. GPS got me there, and I walked into a space with tables on one side, and a very, very limited selection of produce. They did have giant tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and onions. So I bought some. I didn't look at the wine, as it was all far away on a wall, and not accessible. There are some jars of preserves. Tempting, but $11. Bit expensive. They also sell baked goods, mostly cookies and pies. Nothing was marked as "gluten-free," so I had to pass. Luckily, as fall is coming and I need to fit in my clothes. There are also some cute gift shop items, like mugs and shopping totes. And a small selection of pastas. They looked REALLY good, but definitely made from wheat. Sigh. There's gelato, which looked delicious, but alas I have some at home. I would have liked a larger selection of vegetables--I wanted lettuce, specifically--but a lovely young woman behind the counter explained that they had different things at different times, depending on supply. I forgot to ask about the wine, but perhaps I'll come back with a friend. Hopefully it's a local vineyard. This isn't my idea of a "farm stand," exactly, but it's a nice place. There is a large sign saying "La Corte" INSIDE the store. Not particularly helpful, lol, but at least I eventually figured out that I was in the right place.
