We booked with TIR through VRBO. It was a very simple process! After we requested a booking it took…read moreless than 24 hours for it to be confirmed. Once that happened, they emailed me the rental agreement and some various information for checking in. I emailed the agreement, but you can also fax or mail. Checking in was a breeze. We stopped by at the lady there had enveloped our key and was about to leave, but she gave it to us. She was very nice! Our condo was easy to find and in the PERFECT location... totally beachfront. For the price, it was a very good deal. I also liked it wasn't too far down the island. We were on the second floor, which wasn't bad at all. Our condo was pretty clean, but the floors turned our feet black so I think they may have had a little dirt leftover. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and dishes for some minor cooking. I would recommend this company, but I wasn't 100% impressed. See below for pros and cons! Pros: LOCATION, friendly staff, the beachfront view, lots of space Cons: Dirty floor, little flying bug infestation (wasn't really bothersome, just annoying), big trash can overflowing right next to steps, no tv in the bedrooms, tv in living room with few channels, and not enough towels (we have six for four people)

The service we experienced was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. On the day of our…read morearrival, Anthony with Tybee Vacation Rentals called at 11:30am to inform me of a maintenance issue with our reserved home and said he would send alternative options. I agreed without hesitation, understanding that unexpected issues can happen. However, after waiting and receiving no email, I called the office at 12:35pm and was told Anthony was at lunch. I continued waiting, and at 1:21pm finally received an email with only one alternative home. My husband and I reviewed it immediately and responded at 1:32pm confirming it would work as we had already tried to find a different accommodation for our family but nothing was available on the island therefore we had no choice. I received no acknowledgment to my response --no call, no email. At 2:28pm, I called again and was placed on hold before being sent to voicemail. I emailed Anthony once more asking for confirmation. By 3:37pm, still no response. At this point, we were supposed to check in at 4pm but had no address, no entry instructions, and no confirmation that we even had a place to stay. I called again and spoke with Erica, who promised a callback within 15 minutes. By 4:27pm, still nothing. When I called back, an older gentleman answered, and the background noise made it difficult to understand him. After explaining the situation, he attempted to transfer me to Anthony. I waited on hold for about two minutes before Anthony finally answered and asked if we were okay with the option he sent--despite multiple calls and emails confirming this hours earlier. He blamed their system for being slow and placed me on hold again to finalize the booking. I waited 55 minutes on hold before he returned with the address and entry code. He offered one insincere apology that felt more sarcastic than genuine, as if assisting us past closing time was an inconvenience to him. At no point were we offered compensation, a discount, or any acknowledgment of the significant disruption to our first day of vacation. We finally entered the home around 5:40pm--frustrated, hungry, and exhausted after a six‑hour drive and an afternoon spent trying to confirm we even had a place to stay. Had there been another available property that could accommodate my family, I would have requested a refund and booked elsewhere. This was by far our worst experience in Tybee Island. I would not recommend this business, and I do not plan to book with them again. This entire experience made the whole trip blah as we were not in the original home we booked close to the beach and had to drive to the beach from the new location as it was much further out and was just nothing like we expected our trip to be.Once we returned home I reached out to Bookings customer service team and told them about the experience we had and requested a refund as I had paid nearly $1500 to not get to stay in a home I had booked. I was emailed back in 48 hours stating the accommodation had agreed to give me a refund of $150. This was a sarcastic gesture and that $150 did not even cover a one day stay that was taken from my vacation due to waiting around for the company to respond to me nor did it cover the amount of money we had to spend on parking due to being moved. I have since responded to that email and asked that either booking or the business make this right. I am hoping that this happens. I have used booking for many years and many of my stays but if this is not made right I will no longer use the booking platform.

Tybee Beach Vacation Rentals - Beach time

We really enjoyed our mini vacation stay at #11 13th Street. It was everything a beach house…read moreshould be. It was a very warm and comfortable home. We loved the rustic and beach atmosphere that this home offered. While some enjoyed laying in the hammock, others playing cards at the tables inside and outside. We all enjoyed the beach and appreciated that is was a 200 feet walk to go play. Our group was mixed with some from WA, some from NV, and other native to GA., true to say we all greatly enjoyed our stay. As we arrived and we're settling in, a staff member from the office stopped in to drop off a pan, it was requested from two of seniors of our group, to have a bath mat for the shower. They were concerned about slipping. The staff went out and bought two new bath mats and dropped them off at the beach house. It was most appreciated and will be part of why we will return. Because we were so relaxed and enjoying our stay, we forgot our day to check out. The cleaning lady came by and we quickly jumped into action, with her, to help clean up. Kathy was the most, sincere, friendly person and made us feel good about forgetting about check out . We completely appreciated her understanding and friendly attitude. Tybee Vacation Rentals is very blessed to have her as one of their employees. She is a true GEM. In short, if you want super fancy, this may not be for you, but if you truly appreciate what a real beach is, if you truly appreciate what it is to relax, this is the perfect home for you to stay. It is with little regret, that I did not take pictures. But, my thoughts were focused spending quality time with family. But I will share a little beach time with you.

This review is about 3 17th st, South Beach ocean condos- unit 7…read more I am writing this review in full honesty, as the place was not exactly what I had expected. To start, the reviews said good things, only bad thing was that the beds were "not good." I thought, how bad could they REALLY be ? Now. When i tell you these beds were bad, that is solely an understatement. The pullout couch bed is probably equivalent to sleeping on concrete. There are weird bumps in it, and the mattress is about a half inch thick. However, the main bedroom, that bed was hard as bricks- but doable. I called twice, the tybee vacation rentals and they sent an EZ bed, sort of like a raised air mattress. Ok- turns out it was broken. Deflated throughout the night. Finally we called again, they sent another one no problem. I had to call for more sheets and a woman answered the phone laughing , and acted like I was inconveniencing her job. I said hello? is this tybee beach vacation rentals and she goes ya ? And demeaning told me the sheets would be over that they weren't done cleaning. Very rude and HORRIBLE customer service. No reason anyone should be answering the phone like that. So after the bed situation was figured out, we came to find dirty dishes in the cabinets. Ok- no problem, we just went out and bought plastic silverware and cups. We come back one night after dinner, and find that someone had parked in our spot. We waited outside for TWO HOURS! We had no where to park, called tybee vacation rentals, knocked on doors, and the police and tybee beach vacation rentals didn't seem to have a care in the world and told us we would "just have to wait until they come back." ARE YOU KIDDING! That's when we knew this place was a joke. They don't take anything serious. Lastly, I would just like to say that this place is absolutely not ADA accessible. There are three annoying flights of stairs to go up- no elevator and you have to lug everything up. There is a back door that swings open if it's not locked, and overall, the place was as nice as it was displayed to be. Place was older, furniture gross and run down. Not comfortable at all. Couldn't even sit outside because there is a wasp nest in one of the chairs. Overall, I would never book this place and , and for the price, absolutely not. The only good thing was how close we were to the beach. Nothing else. Don't book this place, spend a few hundred more and get a nicer place and a rental company that actually cares about how things are kept.

The house was very clean and well maintained. The location was nice, quiet and peaceful and the pool is a perfect size for a larger group. We always rent a golf cart from Tybee Golf carts, right around the corner, and it's so easy to get to the beach/around the island. (Highly recommend) We needed to contact Tybee Cottages a couple times throughout our stay and they were very quick to respond and were so helpful. We look forward to staying at wild palms again.

Easy in and easy out - np problems at all. Tybee of course is awesome! We loved staying at 1923 By the Sea in April! It's one of the last remaining Butler to the Beach Tybee lots with a beautiful 1923 historic cottage that is as if time stood still. If you enjoy history and the craftmanship of homes built a 100 years ago you will love this cottage with its wide L shaped porch and working sinks in each bedroom. The location was perfectly situated between 12th and 13th streets for beach access for while the home is on the beach, direct access is limited due to the dunes and with chairs and such its much easier to simply use the public beach walkovers. The beach at these streets is awesome and very limited parking so crowds are non-existant. I cannot say enough about this rental company and their homes. We will be back!

The property was in great shape and clean upon arrival. It looked like it had just been built. The owner obviously did not go cheap with the furnishings and overall decor. The…read moreonly complaint was the upstairs neighbors can be heard A LOT (talking, walking, etc.) I'd recommend any future guests pick a different rental company. Your customer service was awful. 1. You offer parking for 2 cars, but when we arrive with larger vehicles your solution is "pay to park". That cost us an additional $240 that we weren't planning on spending. 2. When we had issues with the condo (I.e. arriving to find dirty linens) NO ONE responded to our texts or call. So we spent our first night cleaning the condo and linens. Terrible way to start the vacation. 3. This unit is for sale. Mid-way through our trip we were notified that we needed to vacate the property for a showing the next day. We had no where to take our dog, so we cancelled the plans we had for the morning in order to sit with him in the car. After rearranging the plans, we were notified that the showing had been cancelled and we didn't need to vacate. We literally rearranged our VACATION PLANS for you and you cancelled it. I'll NEVER stay at Tybee Vacation Rentals properties again. This company has been a family favorite for over 20 years. The corporate sellout shows. Local owed goes a long way. Your corporate policies are unwelcoming and made our vacation feel like too much work. We spent $3,800 on the rental plus $240 for an additional parking space. We shouldn't have had to work. Shame on you!
