Brisket, Pork Ribs w/ Cole slaw and potato salad.
    Mario F.

Tender Brisket that fell apart immediately and also the pork ribs had flavor. Didn't need bbq sauce but had a bit of it and it was delicious as well. Driving through and Tyler's didn't disappoint. Solid BBQ for sure. One of the best I've had.

Our first meal in Texas. Doc our road trip driver found Tyler's bbq on Yelp right after we crossed the Texas State line and called our order in. Hubs said as soon as we got back into the car he would rate it a 5 star and that it was the best meal so far. Doc added the people are so nice. I ordered a sliced brisket sandwich and cole slaw for each of us. What a nice surprise, Doc concocted a sweet tea and iced tea for me. Hubs had his usual, Diet Coke as drinks were included. Doc had 1/4 lb side of brisket with hot sauce. She's so health conscious. Gotta admit their regular bbq sauce was so good. Loved the perfect sweetness of it. Put it on every slice of my sandwich. There are 2 restrooms, one person at a time. The interior is spacious, cool decor and had a station to wrap up your left overs to go. Extremely happy Doc found this place- yum!!! Even their coleslaw.

Tyler's always abides. We pass thru Amarillo every year on our way to Arizona. And we always stop for a bite. Except on Sunday and Monday's when they are closed.

First stop in Texas for our 2025 roadtrip, Tyler's Barbecue! Our last visit we unfortunately passed through on a Monday but this time we got to try our luck! Grateful we did. We sampled a little bit of everything per advice of some friendly customers in line. Why is everyone in Texas so nice??? I love the hospitality that we just don't have the same of in California. While I don't think this is my all time favorite bbq, not a single item menu missed the mark. Everything was tasty and devoured. Plus it was all very affordable in my opinion. Definitely worth a comeback visit.

2 Meat Plate with Brisket, Ribs, Potato Salad, and Jalapeño Creamed Corn

Traveling with coworkers and saw this pop up when looking for a lunch spot. This place has a real smokehouse ambiance to it. From placing our order to having it in-front of us took less than 5 minutes, pretty fast service. The highlight of the meal for me was the jalapeño creamed corn, nice heat and very creamy. The ribs were pretty solid, great seasoning and a nice bark. The sliced brisket had good flavor but was honestly a bit dry for us, will probably go with the chopped next time. The sauce selection was also really good. I would recommend kicking it up and going with the spicy one.

Outstanding BBQ if you're in Amarillo. Loved the ambiance and the counter service was fast. We will be back.

3 meat plate with corn, green beans, potato salad and coleslaw - enough for 2 people

Great food - nice people! We got the three meat plate and added two more sides. The brisket and sausage were great - very flavorful. I would pass on the ribs next time. We loved the sides. The corn, coleslaw, potato salad and green beans were all amazing. You can't go wrong here. They also let you ask for specific parts of the brisket which was nice. We like the leaner portion. The inside is comfortable. Clean and an easy stop off of the highway while traveling.

Sadly, Tyler's didn't live up to the hype for us. We did a little research to find the best bbq restaurant in Amarillo, and it seemed Tyler's was the favorite. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but the meal really missed the mark. The brisket was quite dry, the pulled pork lacked flavor, and the beans were not at all what you would expect from a bbq place. There were a couple of good things too. The pork ribs and smoked turkey were good, and the jalapeño corn was pretty good. Overall, the meal wasn't worth the long wait in line. The restaurant was spacious, so it's a good place for a group or family. We are from out of town, so I doubt we will be back. I just wanted to give some honest feedback for those searching for a place to eat in Amarillo.

Ribs, jalapeño creamed corn & bacon green beans.

A must if you're in Amarillo. Absolutely delicious food. The prices are good and the people are super friendly. Get the jalapeño creamed corn!

From out of state and was recommended Tyler's Barbecue. Walked in and the gentlemen working were awesome and greeted us right away and Extremely friendly. The ribs, chopped and sliced brisket was some of the best I have ever had. Every bite was so flavorful, tender and juicy melt in the mouth. Coleslaw excellent. Potato salad with a little heat and the potatoes were small pieces which made it even better and I grew up in a big German family and some of the best I have ever had. We had the banana pudding and was again amazing. Great spot has indoor and a patio that is dog friendly with misters. If you are ever passing though or staying in Amarillo this is a must.

Fantastic! 10/10! The food was hot and fresh! The staff was so friendly. I ordered the #2 sandwich which comes with two meats. Lordy! I got the turkey and chopped brisket with the side of Jalepenos cream corn. All were excellent. I really hate bbq sauce because it's always too sweet, but their hot bbq hit the spot. Top it off with a beer... voila!

Brisket had zero salt. I'm sure this isn't a regular occurrence but it destroyed the taste of the brisket.

You order food at the register and then sit down, so when you order a dessert, they can put a little note to serve it to you at the end. Speaking of dessert, that pecan cobbler ala mode smacks! The perfect ending to a delicious meal. The meat is so tender and falls off the bone. You don't need a knife to cut anything. A plastic knife will do the job easily. They say the brisket is the star of the show and I can attest to that. However, the turkey is the runner up. I don't know what they do to that Turkey, but my husband and I might have to grab more to take home with us tomorrow. They were so nice too because we ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs and they ran out, so we got the last of the ribs. The also doubled all our meats! We wound up getting 1/2 a lb of turkey and 1 lb of brisket! We are going to be eating some good sandwiches for the next few days. We definitely plan on coming back the next time we are in Amarillo.
