I have to give a big thank you to the service department. I dropped off my Atlas for service this morning after my 4th, 12-hour overnight shift at the local hospital. You can say I was exhausted. I am from out of state and needed to find a new dealership to get my car serviced. I've leased VWs for a very long time and I'm used to excellent customer service and good experiences. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time. To start, when I got to the desk to check in, it felt like my presence was barely recognized. The people at the desk were chit chatting and acted like I wasn't there. The guy handling my car never asked for my ID to verify it was me and he also never even gave me his name or card, in order to call if I needed something. I was really surprised when they didn't do a walk around with me to get my mileage or inspect the car at all. It all just felt strange and not what I'm used to. The 1 win in this situation was the guy who drove me to and from in their complementary shuttle. He was so kind, personable and on time. Major shout out (wish I could remember his name)! When I got back in the evening to get my car it was dark. I got the keys, but it would have been really nice if someone would have walked me to my car. I'm used to the car being pulled up front, but instead it was on the lot in a parking space. I'm also used to the car being nicely washed, but the windows and windshield had smears all over. The car also smelled heavily of gas for some reason. I don't mean to sound so particular but this was another experience of customer service and I feel like it was very lacking. There's a few small things they can do to make this a better experience. I know my car wasn't leased with them, but I thought VW dealerships would have similar experiences. read more

Would leave a 0 star if possible. Terrible experience bought a car on a Friday. Was told it needed pre delivery inspection. It was supposed to be done before I even arrived on Monday. Showed up the car has not even been touched had to wait an additional 2 hours for my vehicle to be completed. Terrible service this dealership does not care about the customers only when you're buying a vehicle. I'm not new to this dealership, and I've seen their customer service going down I decay, with no way back. I had an issue with my car and tried a couple of options but I was in the neighborhood and I had the feeling this would be another bad experience. What am I doing to myself? There is a reason why I switched to Larry H Miller on Colfax, in Lakewood. Anyways, I walked up to a female service advisor in the XPress Lube department. I told her what the problem was with my car. Then with an attitude she tells me that first of all, they need to do a diagnostic that will run for $199.99. Then she says it will take them 3 days to diagnose my car door. Then she tells me that the cars are computers, computers have to diagnose my car that is a computer. And I have to make a "computer" appointment for their computers to diagnose my computer. I think someone's "computer" is out of service. HORRENDOUS. I know that I can call Mr Tynans which is the service manager in this family business. But apparently no one cares. Good thing there are options, like Emich VW, O'meara VW and my favorite one Larry H Miller VW. read more

When signing the final paperwork, the finance manager did not review that, so I thought I had the 7% rate that I was told, but after reviewing my paperwork the next day I saw that it was 8.68%. This review is for Zach!!! At first he seemed like a real nice guy. With the best interest at heart. He was going to nissan and volkswagen to get us a deal. I trusted him that he had dignity and integrity. But boy was I wrong after jerking us for multiple days, where we had to take days off from work, because this paperwork didn't go through that paperwork didn't go through bunch of excuses, and for whatever reason the deal couldn't be done. He straight up ghosted us no phone call no messages no nothing, 0 he led us to believe that we were getting the vehicle from the get go setting us up handing keys everything, I appreciated everything this guy was doing but it was just a mask. Would not recommend. Originally, I brought in my beetle in need of a new starter, they said that it wasn't the starter. They replaced some hoses instead, and then discovered the car wouldn't start. Low and behold, I had to get a new starter. They made me wait an extra week for it, replaced it, then returned my vehicle to me with a flat tire. I went to a different repair shop for the tire, and again, my car wouldn't start. The shop replacing the flat Tynans gave me had to get up under my car and discovered that it was indeed my starter not working again, so they had to tap it to get the engine to start so I could drive it back to Tynans, where they said the car was fine a d that they weren't going to look at it. They kept it for another 4 days to test it. Then returned my vehicle to me with a broken wiper... So in total they had my car for around 3 weeks, without them offering a loaner, to pay for a rental, or reimburse me fore lift for their screw ups, and now I need to go get my wiper worked on :((((( Update: So I had to replace the starter again, and now it is in another shop and they are calling it quits on fixing it because Tynans did not put it back together right and there is water damage in the side where the dash is. Now I have to buy a new car. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday morning for a test drive. The sells people were nice. Friendly. Going for Test drive no issues at all. Typical new car mark up but I wasn't planning to negotiate today and didn't. Still trying to decide what kind of car I wanted. Wasn't pressed which was good. Test drove a 2023 Tiguan. Found the seats too hard and the ride too bumpy. Kinda disappointed cuz the seating was perfect height and adjustment to see over the hood. I may go back again. Compared to the Honda CRV, price of Tiguan was more reasonable. Gave it a 4 cuz disappointed with ride. Dealership I'll hold off cuz I dont know how they are service or negotiating. read more

I did not even buy from this dealer, just had a deposit on a car that decided not to buy. I asked for my deposit to be returned. Over a month later, and a number of emails/calls later, the dealership still hasn't returned my deposit. They have made a lot of promises that they will send it, that's about it. I was wondering if I was having an experience outside of the scope of their normal service delivered to their customers. I can see from the poor reviews it seems to be their M.O. I have been working with Justin for over 3 months. I have been wanting to trade my Tiguan in for an ID.4. We were finally able to get it done this past Saturday. I couldn't be happier. I got the lease term that I requested and all the bells that come with this ID.4. Justin was patient with me and knew this was a big decision. When I got to the dealership to sign, I was thinking I was going to be there for hours, but I was in and out in less then an hour. Only because it needed to be detailed. When we did the walk thru of the vehicle, we noticed there was a large scratch. Justin immediately said that they would get the fixed. Appointment is tomorrow. Super fast service. I am excited to see what the next 2 years brings with this lease and new adventure in the Electric car genre. read more

We bought a VW Atlas from Tynan's and it has been in the shop 3 times with only 8500 miles on it. The first time they replaced the entire lower block of the engine, which took nearly 2 months, and when we drove it home the oil light came on. We found out that the service department never added any oil after replacement. They refused to cover the rental car costs on the last two break downs because they had no more loaner cars. I spoke with the service manager on this and was told "well it's not our fault we have no loaner cars and VW wouldn't reimburse them for a rental". I also never received a call back from the GM in regards to our vehicle and have filed a Lemon Law claim. We will never do business with Tynan's again and will never purchase a VW vehicle. read more

If you are under warranty and need a repair, the service department holds your place in line by holding your car hostage. There it sits, untouched for days or weeks. They do not have loaner cars so you just make do without a car for as long as it takes. The only waiting list consists of the cars on the lot waiting for service. If you take your car back, you lose your place in line and start all over again. Communication is close to 0. Customer service seems to be modeled on the old Soviet empire. My advice is to choose anyone but Tynan's VW. read more

I have my second VW and the first time when I took it to service was always good until this year in August, I set my appointment for my oil change with over a month time and a day before my appointment Monique contacted me and was very rude and unprofessional, everything end it up with the manager Garrett, the issue became because I had a recall and she said she didnt had time ti see my car until 2 weeks so I did ask for a car or something to move around( Im a single mom with 4 kids that needs a car) she said that was my problem since they dont give one. And around a month of that my battery died ( I tought was because of the recall since my car was only 36,000) they help me ( not sure it was the pressure of the recall and Monique said that my car was fine and I had this issue) but when they gave me back my car I even had a sunflower seed on my window and was dirty (I have pictures and emails or all this) and now I had another recall talk to Garrett again but customer service is poor there they make you feel like money is more important that people or your car, and like I said before August I never has issues, like this. I have been following instructions because VW send me letters and they are the closest dealership but I guess after having that big issue in August they dont want me there. Having to have oil changes or whatever the car need should be simple and easy, I have work in customer service for over 15 years and I love to me people feel value not that they want just your money(which you are not just paying $10 is more than that every time) but dont care about the customer service they give you, charge the money but provide at least good customer service. Jim is very nice, Mario sold us a great car, but Chris was rude when we discovered title paperwork was filled out incorrectly. We have been back and forth MANY TIMES with the DMV (and had to go there TWICE in addition to BACK TO AURORA to get a new temp plate) because the clerk/whoever is INCAPABLE of putting the correct address on paperwork. I am so frustrated by this waste of time due to failure to pay attention to detail. We currently do not have our title or plates an we purchased the car 3 months ago. I am on the phone now, making my 8th (!!!!) phone call with the issue unresolved. read more

We bought a 2021 Jetta from Omar on Saturday (12/4). The car has less than 100 miles on it. On Tuesday night (12/7) the check engine light came on. The service department said they could not look at for over a week, Omar did not care and did nothing, and our brand new car is sitting the shop waiting for someone to even look at it. Below is my review of a used car purchase (2010 Jetta SportWagen) I made in October of 2014, I wanted to take some time to defuse. This was the worst car buying experience I've ever had, and I regret giving Tynan's a cent of my hard earned money. I hope I can spare you some heartache. These points were made previously to Mr. Jim Tynan via email, so this shouldn't come as a surprise to the business... * While doing my homework on the vehicle. The vehicle had just over 55k miles on it, but according to CarFax the 40k service had not been completed. Tynan's Sales Dept. worked out a "discount" for us, $500 instead of $800. I was thankful to save money, but I feel that scheduled maintenance should have been taken care of free of charge. This scheduled maintenance was added to the purchase price so at the time of registration had to pay taxes on that service because it made the sale price higher. * I set up an appointment and took vacation time so my wife and I could drive up from The Springs to see and buy the Jetta. Once we were told that the car was not available because it was at a body shop getting a new bumper. So much for having an appointment. * Our salesman tried to talk us into buying the vehicle sight unseen. We were not about to buy a car we'd not seen or driven. * My wife and I made another trip up to the dealership after we got off work see the Jetta. We met with the same salesman again. He seemed impatient that I was being thorough when doing a walk around, he actually asked me what I was looking at/for. * I had brought a tire depth gauge with me, which revealed that the rear two tires were at 4/32 (a measurement that warrants replacement). The salesman said that obviously the mechanics completing the inspection felt that they were safe, and would not budge on the price, even though the car needed two new tires. * Tynan's had a coupon online for $400 off if a test drive was scheduled and the vehicle was purchased. The Used Car Manager said they would not honor the coupon because they were at their "bottom dollar" and wouldn't be making money from the sale. He also said that the coupon would have been taken off the advertised price, but they were selling below the advertised price. This vehicle did not have an advertised price, online it said to contact the dealership for the price. * In the Finance Department we were handed a sheet of paper that was about extended warranties but they were never offered to us or explained to us. * Two days after purchase I find water stains on the headliner, and about an inch of standing water in the trunk under the spare tire. (See the attached photo). I griped to Tynan's about this, and they had me bring the car back, they replaced the satellite antenna and called it good. However when the rainy season hit again there was water back in the car. Not trusting Tynan's I took it to a VW dealership in The Springs, who said that there was a problem with the sunroof and drains. It set me back over $600. * Tynan's forgot to do a smog check on the vehicle, so we couldn't register the car. We paid out of pocket to get the check done. Tynan's did reimburse us for this "mistake". We should have walked away, but the price was so good that we put up with the games and added costs (like scheduled maintenance that wasn't done during the inspection/intake process, oh, and new tires). Now we're driving a car that we feel is a "lemon". Should have remembered the old adage, "If it sounds too good to be true it probably is." read more

I called and spoke with Chase, who was great, and assured me that the car I was interested was indeed on the lot. When I got to the dealership I was well taken care of by Brittany Kim. She pulled the car around and we went for a test drive. She was polite and knowledgeable; very friendly. I had been to different dealerships that day, and the previous week, some that were extremely pushy and others that didn't need to be - they knew that if I was going to buy a car - I would. Brittany was slightly pushy, but having been to a VERY aggressive Volvo dealer the week before, I was semi expecting this. I felt pressured a little, but I got a great car. Jim and Tim helped out, as did Cole in finance. Cole was excellent. I didn't feel hustled, but I didn't realize that buying a car required so much bargaining. I found this annoying. The sticker price was $21K, the internet price was $17K, and what I walked out of there paying was something different... I would say that making the prices cut and dry would allow customers and sales people to have an easier time selling cars, but then again - I am not a sales person. I am enjoying my Golf, and hope that continues. * and I hope I got everyone's name right! read more

It took writing a 1 star review on Google to finally receive call back from this dealership after attempting for 3 months. When I finally got my returned call he basically laughed and said I could try calling back in order to talk to someone else that could help. I've never felt more taken advantage of by a company that we trusted to make a big financial obligation from. This is terrible. My message was finally passed along and they called, but they didn't call me, the lease holder, they called my husband who is not even the contact and is not on my lease. Him not being on the lease was the issue in the first place, because he was supposed to be at signing. So go figure they have his number even though they claim he's not on the file. Matt the Sales Manager seemed to be attentive but ultimately nothing was done and I will have to pay for the mistake that they made which is not just. The solution given was not a solution at all. I can't say it's entirely on the dealership because I can't be certain. I was told the decision was made by corporate but who knows that to be true since when I called their corporate they said the decision is made by the dealership. So if it is corporate, they will not fix a problem a representative of their dealership made on my behalf. My husband is a disabled veteran and what they did was wrong. The whole process was terrible - even before realizing this mistake they made after the fact. It felt just like how they say dealerships manipulate and pressure buyers. I completely regret and kick myself for continuing even though it raised flags to me at the time. Save your frustration and go elsewhere, and no matter where you do go, if it sounds to go to be true or they are pushing the sale - trust your gut and learn from our mistake. read more

The sales lady built like a hour glass though and had a nice fatty to keep me interested and not shove my anger down one of their throats. Tynan's absolutely nailed it in my experience with them! Needed a lot of work done on my Touareg tdi and luckily it was under warranty besides one part. They saved me 4000$+!!!! Cother, the service rep, was extremely helpful and polite. Another plus was that they gave me a brand new, off the lot, 2019 Jetta with 0 miles as my loaner vehicle. Having seen a few years ago how these sleazy people treated my brother who bought his car from here, and the hustle, bait/switch routine, we were reluctant to stop by when I found myself in the market for a car, but I needed to look at several models of VWs to check them off my list of potential vehicles. We were ignored the entire time we were outside...and when we walked into the leasing office building we were treated as though we were bothering somebody. We turned around and walked back out, and had to go through a cloud of cigarette smoke being blown in our faces by an employee who was standing right outside the doors.
